Nancy Callahan was the designer on our master bath remodel last year. She really knows her stuff. When I described the look we wanted, she knew exactly how to create it and how to maximize the limited space. She has a wonderful sense of color - our bathroom is in neutral shades which are not that easy to do so that the look really pops. The result is beautiful - the photos don't quite convey how airy, warm and bright the space really is. Nancy is also very knowledgeable about resources. She knew how to select the right cabinetry for our price range and found some beautiful marble and tile for us. She thinks of every detail. We highly recommend her.

I bought a small cottage in the Berkeley hills a few years ago and embarked on a complete renovation from bottom to top. I interviewed several designers and picked Nancy. It was a good decision as Nancy was able to help me every step of the process, giving me ideas and also serving as a sounding board for my ideas. What I particularly found useful was her accompanying me to select and purchase various items for the house. One specific visit was to a showroom to buy kitchen cabinets. I would have been completely lost if Nancy were not there to show the shop’s designer the measurements of the kitchen layout and suggest what cabinets would be suitable for the long and narrow kitchen. We also went to the shops for tiles as well as the shop for appliances. I found her very easy to talk with and she responded immediately to emails and phone calls. Her contribution was extremely helpful and most likely saved me from making mistakes in buying the wrong products. I strongly recommend Nancy to anyone doing renovation. She will save you money and headaches!

Home improvement projects can easily turn into a nightmare especially on a large scale. I’m happy to say I had a wonderful experience from start to finish, and I owe it to Nancy from Callahan Design for this. Her keen eye for detail, great design, and immense knowledge of Bay Area businesses helped tremendously in making the entire experience stress free. I can’t thank Nancy enough for making our home look and feel just the way we imaged, plus even better!!!!

I so appreciate the way Nancy treats her clients. I have a small Rockridge bungalow and I realize that Nancy has the opportunity to work with clients in grand houses with large design budgets. With each consult she has given us the same consideration and care as anyone. That is not common these days, and is very much appreciated. She transformed our bathroom - raising the cabinet height, recommending the perfect marble and , and we are thrilled. She is deeply skilled, with a great eye for proportion and color, and she listens!

Callahan Design Group surpassed our expectations, and not only provided us with a quality product, but recreated the kitchen space into a efficient and beautiful room. Nancy has such wonderful experience that working with her was effortless. She was able to guide us in selecting every part of our new kitchen in addition to selecting furniture for our dining and living rooms. She was able to work with a variety of people involved on the project even though we live near Sacramento. I would not hesitate to work with Callahan Design group again, Nancy made the project fun and worry free.

Nancy Callahan captured my desire for a lovely blue master bathroom without overpowering the eye, and she helped me envision the project before we got started, using CAD designs. My favorite feature was the heated floor... love those warm toes! She created a beautiful powder room from an existing closet, and helped me select perfect furniture for the entire house. One thing I wanted for this house was to maximize sleeping space in this destination location, for visiting guests. She did this with a convertible sofa in the office (sleeping +2) and ensuring that the family room sofa with large soft ottoman could also double as more sleeping space (e.g., for kids) if needed. She made the house very versatile and it really works for us. Throughout the effort, Nancy and her team were always readily available for questions. In addition to the major furniture, she also helped me shop for the little things that make a house a home. Callahan and her team are seasoned professionals, and working with them has been truly a pleasure. I have recommended them to friends, and plan to call them again in future projects.
