Architectural fees range from 8% - 20%, depending on the size and scope of the project. Clients should expect the following range for construction costs Additions/ Remodel (include all spaces affected): $175/SF - $300/SF New Residential: $150/SF - $250/SF Commercial: $40/SF - $250/SF NOTE: Each project is unique and these are generic average costs/SF and should not be used as a basis for total construction costs until a qualified Architect has evaluated the scope of the work.

To Bostonians looking for Five Star Architectual Services; I've worked with Doug Shoop, DSA Architects and his associates on several projects over the past 15 years. His ability to translate my clients goals into functional, beautiful designs and working drawings is a byproduct of his complete understanding of construction. Doug generates 3D drawings and flyby videos that my customers find very easy to conceptualize his creative design solutions to project challenges. It's always been a pleasure working with Doug and I look forward to next summer, when I will be building an amazing addition he recently designed and obtained complex zoning approval for, on a home just north of Boston.

Doug is very professional, responsive, courteous and considerate. He often works after hours to meet our deadlines, even at short notice. His billings are fair and timely. We have worked with Doug on several properties over many years. His photographic skills are excellent too. It is a pleasure to work with DSA Architects and I highly recommend their services.

Doug is a top notch architect. I regularly work with DSA to create as-built documentation in advance of design and construction. It is clear from working on a regular basis that he has the client's interest in mind. He is knowledgeable in the field of architecture and it is always great to see the end result. His products are always consistently beautiful and function. He does this by paying attention to little details that others might miss. I would 100% recommend this firm to anyone looking for an architect that will listen to you and help you achieve your design.

Doug was very insightful and cares about the needs of the customer. We worked together on many projects from new construction, additions, and renovations. He has a great eye for details and was there every step of the way to walk through the process. If our company or the customer had a question he was great at getting the answers and was very informative. I would recommend him to any of our customers seeking architectural design services.
