Jessy Mateer Woodworking

Jessy Mateer Woodworking is custom furniture, custom cabinets, custom built-ins, and custom room remodeling. I am a one man operation working out of my shop located in Oskaloosa, Iowa. I have been building furniture, and remodeling for almost 10 years with the last 6 years being my full-time occupation. I previously worked 11 years at a local window factory, and around year 9 at that job I began taking on client work on the side while still working full-time at the window factory. I fell in love with the work! My passion for building functional pieces of art grew to an undeniable level. During year 11 at the factory the amount of side work gave me the option to leave the factory to pursue my passion full time. Now I do what I love full time, and I want the quality of my work to reflect my passion and desire to succeed! I strive to meet the wants and desires of my clients, and exceed expectations. From the design process to the finished product, or finished installation I keep the customer in mind. Whether its things like, do they have small children that could be hurt by sharp edges, or are the finishes pet friendly, and even things like leaving spaces cleaner than I found them, it's thinking like this and pure passion for the work that sets me apart from other businesses in this arena.
