We've worked as subcontractors for Hick's Construction and had a great experience. They are very easy to work with and gives us great projects. They know what they are doing, not a lot of companies are on this level.

We hired Hicks Construction to remodel our entire downstairs. Our house was built in 1978, and the downstairs had a family room connected to the kitchen via a half-wall, a small dining room, a living room and a powder room. There were few windows, and the separate rooms did not allow much light to flow. Our goal was to create a much more modern and open feeling. We met with Jerry Hicks several times to discuss our ideas, and he worked with an architect (John) to come up with a plan, Both John and Jerry were very accommodating in meeting with us at times and locations that worked for our schedules. In the end we eliminated one room, enlarged the kitchen and family room, and relocated the powder room to under the stairs. One exterior wall running the length of our house was moved out two feet, and nearly every interior wall was removed and/or moved. We upgraded the flooring, countertops, and every appliance. We added two fireplaces, one of which has glass on three sides and allows a view from the kitchen through the fireplace into the dining room. We added a 17-foot (!) kitchen island, with stools attached via hinges. Hicks construction completed all of this work within our budget, and on our timeline (roughly four months). Jerry helped us visualize how to meet our goals, and fully delivered our joint vision.

We bought a new construction home in Wedgwood built by Jerry Hicks. We love the home - the house has a great plan a nice kitchen and spacious + convenient. We used Hicks to change over some of the carpeting to hardwood, paint and electrical and it was all done perfectly. Our home inspector also remarked that this was one of the better quality constructions he had inspected. We did use some other contractors for certain tasks (like upstairs flooring) because of the better bids,but all in all we are very satisfied with Hicks' professionalism, reliability and attention to details. Highly recommended whether you are purchasing a home from them or remodeling yours.

Jerry and Jordan Hicks and the Hicks Construction Team were excellent to work with on our home construction project. We would recommend them for multiple reasons: 1) They were fun to work with 2) Their attention to detail and quality was top notch 3) They were very knowledgable about building in Seattle 4) They were were responsive and solved problems in a proactive and positive way. The scope of our project included design, permitting, demolition and new construction. Thank you Jerry, Jordan and crew for the great experience!

We hired Hicks Construction to design and build a custom home. The owner Jerry Hicks worked closely with us throughout the entire process. We worked with John Lane architecture to design the house and Jerry attended all design meetings, adding valuable input and advice. During the build process, the project ran quite smoothly. Andrea, the project manager, kept us on task to make the design and selection decisions (tile, fixtures, appliances, etc) in a timely way that wouldn't throw off the schedule. By and large, the subs were great and when there were issues with work quality or schedule, Jerry didn't hesitate to step in to make sure things got done right. There was great communication throughout the project, which meant no big unexpected snafus and happy customers. We love our home, really enjoyed working with Jerry, Jordan and the rest of the staff at Hicks and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Jerry Hicks and his crew at Hicks Construction did an excellent job for us. We hired him to build a new house in the Wedgwood neighborhood in Seattle. He was involved at every stage, from helping us work with the architect to design the home and through all the other stages to the end of the project. The quality of work was outstanding. Jerry was always available when needed—whether in person or by phone. But the best thing about working with Hicks Construction is that they really earned our trust and made the process a pleasure. They finished our house on time and on-budget.

Hicks Construction remodeled a 1955 home for us. It now looks like a modern, contemporary Northwest style house. We found Jerry Hicks and his crew to be responsive, creative, hard-working and willing to do whatever it took to satisfy our dream. We would definitely use them again and routinely recommend them to others.

As a designer, when I hired Hick’s Construction to do our office remodel, I found Jerry Hicks to be a true professional with extensive knowledge in his field. He was accountable and stood behind his work and was excellent in completing my design vision. Since my first encounter with Jerry Hicks on this personal project, Jerry approached me about “networking” my design services with his business. His vision when he asked me to come on board was to help his clients in any way he could to enjoy what could potentially be a very stressful time by offering a “design package” option. His clients, no matter the size or scope of their project, can have a professional designer at a reasonable price at their side through the process. Often times this can make a world of difference for the client and I believe it just one more way that put’s Jerry “a cut above” the competition. At the end of the day, to put it into words that any HGTV addict might understand; “You’ll never see Holmes on Homes show up on any of Hicks Construction’s completed jobs!” I can say with all sincerity that Jerry Hicks of Hick’s construction is a man of integrity with all the expertise to complete anyone’s job at a level they can be proud to call “HOME”.
