As a custom builder in Fairfield and Westchester Counties it is important to be able to count on all of the members of the team to bring the project to completion in a timely and cost effective manner. I have had the pleasure of working with Bob and David and their team on numerous occasions. The design work is outstanding and the level of detail on the plans gives us the information we need to properly price and execute the work. I have always found their team to be responsive, detailed, organized and fair minded while operating with the utmost integrity. I would highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again.

Bob's eye for design is fantastic. He drew up plans for our project that were not only beautiful, but detailed and complete according to the team that did the actual construction. He was vigilant in visiting during the construction to ensure that things were being done according to his design, and he was always available whenever questions arose. In summary, we did two projects on our house, and after the success of the first, we did not even consider anyone but Bob for the second.

Bob Cardello is the most distinctive residential architect in Darien. His work is very creative and of the highest quality. Our neighbors in Noroton Bay know him well and each house he has designed is better than the next. The best part about working with Bob is he comes with zero "famous architect attitude". He is most focused on making his clients happy, not realizing his own personal vision of what he thinks your house should look like. He has strong relationships with the builder community and many other providers/subs. He got along well with a controversial vendor we added to the mix. Mediating our spousal debates came easily to him. Somehow he made everyone happy. He is extremely honest and trustworthy and as a result we have always given him access to our home in subsequent years to show his other clients.

In 2005 we purchased a 1950's vintage ranch house on the Goodwives River. The site was obviously very special; the house was not. We worked with Bob to build a new house on the old foundation. This was a very large challenge as the house we envisioned was totally different than the one that had been there for approximately sixty years. Bob listened to us very carefully and came up with a design that was very creative without being over the top; it was exactly what we were looking for. We found Bob and his associates a pleasure to work with. They were available and supportive throughout the process and the result speaks for itself.

After interviewing two other architects for a complete renovation of a beach style cape I knew Bob Cardello was the one after our first meeting. Reviewing his past work made me realize the style I was looking for and we made it happen. The entire process was professional, well laid out, and explained. The cost and budget were determined and Bob helped me pick a builder. Throughout the build there were a few issues like rot and sag that had to be dealt with before the project could progress. Bob or one of his staff would be there immediately to work with the builder on a solution/fix. 4 years later and I still love the house and a lot of the reason is the architectural detail provided by Bob and his team. I've used Bob and his crew to design a den addition for us. Bob has both an architectural and design background which is a huge plus. Not only did the den look great as a room, but he was helpful at figuring out how each area would function well and what to put in that space. He worked great with my builder and was a great go between when things got a big hairy. Funny and affable, Bob was a pleasure to work with.
