Sitting in my new living room the other day, I was overcome with JOY that my vision for my house was realized thanks to Caroline. The view through my new kitchen and out the windows was exactly what I wanted. From the wall color, light fixtures and layout, to the finishing touches (where she hung our pictures) - Caroline listened to us, pushed us, comforted us and brought our needs in line with our space. Her experience helped us make design decisions we otherwise would not have considered. We could not have survived the remodel without her.

Our condo in SF was in desperate need of a kitchen and bath remodel, but the project felt overwhelming and we were hesitant to pull the trigger. Carolyn broke down all the details and created a realistic budget and timeline. This was a huge help and made the project feel doable. She guided the process to ensure that our remodel was completed on time (actually two weeks early) and she was always available when we needed her. She understood our vision and guided our choices when we needed it. We spent a long time thinking about the little details, but Carolyn’s input and expertise opened our eyes to details that made the overall project feel more luxurious. We could not be happier!

We've worked on many projects with Workroom C. Caroyln is incredible to work with-- she is very detailed and organized, and has a clear vision of how she'd like to transform each piece of furniture from the start. Her design aesthetic is genuinely terrific and we love that she is willing to take risks with pattern, colors, and textures. She brings an amazing professional sensibility to each project and she is truly a pleasure to work with.

Carolyn is so talented! I had no idea where to begin to redo my dining room. Carolyn listened to my ideas, made suggestions and came up with a plan that I love. I have worked with other designers but she is, without a doubt, the best. I highly recommend her!

When we first searched for a designer we searched through Houzz and contacted the first 5 designers with the best reviews and whose portfolio was of interest to us. A couple designers we contacted directed us to their office assistant and asked that we fill out a standard application/questionnaire and someone would get back to us. It felt impersonal and time consuming. I wanted to speak with a designer asap. Another couple designers we spoke with seemed rushed, asked primarily about budget and seemed disinterested in our project. What a let down. Then I spoke with Carolyn....wow, what a breath of fresh air! I gave her a gist of what I wanted to do and she set up a meeting right away. She basically said, we should meet to see if we would click together and share the same vision. When she came to our house she was personable, friendly yet professional and I immediately liked her. We ended up hiring her and she was the best decision we made. She has turned our home into a lovely kid friendly yet sophisticated environment. She was present for all meetings and most deliveries and she just gave everything her own personal touch. Her contacts I.e. contractor, installers, etc. have all exhibited great work. She’s funny, respectful, honest, accountable and her ideas/suggestions are amazing. She was able to take what I liked and push the boundaries to design a warm yet modern home for us. Something that we wanted to do but couldn’t do ourselves. She created a home that allowed adults to have their own space while being a fun place for 3 children. I love our newly decorated home and I’m so glad to have met Carolyn! I have no doubt that we will know her for a long time....she’s just that kind of person.

Carolyn was amazing to work with. I underwent a pretty major remodel of my home in San Francisco. Carolyn definitely made the journey so much easier on me. She is very professional and knows her stuff. She was always on time, taking notes, and providing insight. She would give me many options to choose from, and when I wanted more she worked with me. I could count of her to make sure the project was on time and done properly. Her level of professionalism is amazing. She is also very very fun!

I have worked with Carolyn and her team on a few discrete projects over the past couple years and continue to be impressed with her prompt and thoughtful responses to my design questions and reliable oversight of the projects she has undertaken. She has helped with fabric selection and design, fabrication, and installation of custom window shades and cushions as well as selection of lighting and fan options. She has been a good listener and has provided invaluable assistance helping to sift through the many options in the market and presenting those that have been in keeping with what I have been looking for but haven't had the time to find myself.

With so many moving parts, we had no idea where to begin on our kitchen remodel. We were so grateful to have Carolyn and her team walk us through the kitchen design process. They helped us choose cabinets and appliances that balanced our wants with our budget and introduced us to all kinds of palettes, finishes and materials that we never would have discovered on our own. They also prepared a number of space plans that allowed us to imagine the ideal use and workflow for our new kitchen. Construction starts next month. I would highly recommend working with Carolyn at Carolyn Rebuffel Designs. She transformed our living room into a peaceful oasis that we thoroughly enjoy. She had some great ideas for our space, but she carefully listened to our ideas and incorporated them well into the overall plan. She was patient with us as we couldn't give the project our full attention and we had to complete the project fairly slowly because of other obligations. Carolyn has a particular facility with fabric and she helped us pick some fabulous materials to use for furniture and drapes. Her staff are very professional, they respond to questions right away, provide materials and samples quickly and are pleasant to work with.

I was extremely hesitant to hire a designer because I enjoy doing things on my own and had a very small budget. Carolyn was willing to take me on and did so graciously. What I particularly appreciate about Carolyn is that she has a point of view and expresses it. I had ideas, and she provided her opinion about what would and would not work. That was what I was looking for. I would say that she has high-end taste (as do I and many designers!), but she did provide me with several options at different price points. I wish I could have afforded it all! I am awaiting a custom seating area for my MBR, so I cannot yet speak to the quality of the suppliers she uses, but I am optimistic!

We used Carolyn Rebuffel Designs to help us compose our living room. Carolyn and her team are creative, responsive and good listeners (!!). We spoke by telephone and worked together via email and pictures - no meetings required (good thing since we live 350 miles apart). We used her "room recipe" service. We sent measurements for and pictures of everything. She asked what furniture we wanted to keep, what could go. Carolyn and her team replied with 5 potential floor plans and a Pinterest board with suggested textiles, pillows, lamps, media cabinets. etc. Carolyn is respectful and the ultimate professional. She thoughtfully suggested ideas for making our room more modern, more colorful and easier to navigate. What I appreciate most is that she really worked with pieces we already had. With the material she provided, we are able to make improvements at our own pace. I love the changes we've made - Carolyn gave me the courage and help I needed to do it!

Carolyn helped with a number of projects - 1) new lighting, console table and paint in foyer, 2) new bench cushions, table and chairs and light fixture in kitchen, 3) new paint color and rug in family room, 4) new paint color and furniture arrangement in son's room, 5) new medicine cabinets and light fixtures in master bath, 6) new bedding and pillows in master bedroom, 7) other small projects around the house. She was particularly helpful in making suggestions about rearranging existing items or simple fixes to improve a room, providing recommendations on suppliers/vendors so that I could order myself and save money, and helping me narrow down choices/make decisions. She also developed a good sense of my taste/aesthetic. I definitely recommend Carolyn.
