Mark Fichandler turned my house into my dream home. His "eye" for detail is incredible. He listened to my vision, improved on it and translated it into reality. He is a true professional and a pleasure to work with. He is organized and follows through. His calm demeanor and sense of humor saved the day on several occasions. What I appreciated most was his advance work in scouting out light fixtures, furniture, paint colors, fabric swatches, kitchen cabinets, etc., and then presenting me with several options to choose from. It saved me time and the feeling of being overwhelmed by too many choices. I am so happy I agreed to his suggestion of installing dimmers on each light switch in my home. It has really made a difference. Visitors to my home are always impressed by the quality of work that Mark did. I receive nothing but compliments. I don't think anyone would ever be disappointed by hiring Mark.

Studio Fichandler renovated and decorated two of my homes. The first was a cottage in Southampton NY and the 2nd just recently, a condo in Miami Beach, FL. Both are beautiful, delightful and make me extremely happy. Mark's use of soft, warm color, his integration of old and new pieces of furniture, and his sensitivity to the placement of art are all outstanding. Both renovations were complicated and of somewhat long duration. yet were handled with fantastic coordination and attention to detail. I am so pleased with Marks work that I would not start a new project without being sure he could be the decorator.

We hired Mark Fichandler to help us refresh our Greenwich Village apartment. We wanted to keep most of our traditional furnishings, which have come to us via family members or travels, and yet to be in better harmony with the beautifully spare and spacious quality of the apartment, which includes a sun porch overlooking the garden in a landmarked mid-20th-century co-op. Mark made this process, which we had looked toward with trepidation, both successful and easy for us. We recommend him wholeheartedly for three qualities: his excellent taste; his kindness, good humor, and restraint in giving advice without being the least bit pushy; and his awesome efficiency and dependability. He went shopping with us for lighting and located carpet and paint choices. Either he or his equally pleasant assistant made daily visits to be sure the work was being done properly, and arranged installations when we were not there. Our project was modest, the changes were not major. But they were all strategic. As a result, both our interiors and our sun porch feel like they have been lightened, enlarged and opened up to the architecture and garden.

My partner and I completed a renovation on our new 2 bedroom apartment. We hired Mark Fichandler of Studio-Fichandler to complete the interior design of our living room. He also guided us in selecting paint colors for the entire apartment. Mark and his team were very professional, prompt, efficient and always available. They pre-selected three furniture showrooms based on our feedback to their initial questions, making it possible for us to make our selections in a short window of time. Mark has relationships and connections with many fabric manufacturers allowing us access to high quality fabrics for our furniture and drapes. In addition, the vendors that Mark works with are professional, highly skilled and a pleasure to have in one's home. One of the essential elements of our living room was a wall of built-in bookcases. Mark and his team generated five different designs. He worked closely with the craftsman we hired to build the bookcases to make sure that every detail was to our liking. When it was time to select the paint colors Mark and his team had 4 or 5 choices for each room and were very patient with our selection process. I highly recommend Mark and his team for your interior design project.
