MAW delivered a superb remodeling job for our condo on every score. Mike and Scott were excellent consultants on all issues, from overall look, feel and design to construction details such as wood floor refinishing, interior door replacement, closet modernization, wall and ceiling colors and painting, lighting, heating and air conditioning and kitchen upgrading. A key feature of their approach is weekly meetings, in-person or video, with us to go over all the work planned for the week, to be sure we understood the details and options. Each meeting had a pre-arranged agenda which we often added to on the spot, and the meetings did not close until we had understood all the options and agreed on a plan. Their advice on the many decisions to be made was invaluable. They knew the options well and what level of remodeling we had in mind; their advice was perfectly in tune with our ideas. We could not have been happier with the outcome and now consider them trusted and welcome consultants.

Mike and Scott put on a major addition to my home. It's pretty simple, the work was high quality and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their company to anyone.

My husband and I live in a family home that is over 50 years old. We want to stay here as long as we possibly can. Scott's perusal let us know exactly what we needed to do for comfort, safety and convenience. Actually this is our third renovation with Scott Sevon, and each change we have brought to our home has increased its appearance and livability as well as its value. - Somehow Scott knows what we need even before we do. He put us with an architect who really listened to the way we lived and moved around our home. In our first addition, he supervised the building of a large family room on the back of our small brick ranch home. The whole house was brighter, more spacious, with the addition of the seven almost floor to ceiling windows at the back. Best of all, it did not look like an addition. In this second renovation he enlarged a bedroom and added a bathroom within it that is absolutely beautiful, from the tile on the walls to the flooring. We wanted a bathroom that would be handicapped accessible as we aged, and he certainly did that but without its being too obvious. Through all of this, Scott was ever present. He called to tell us when -- and how-- to be ready for the next step His sub-contractors were prompt, courteous and ready to answer any questions. Let me give you an example of Scott's work ethic: Today he stopped to reset the light in the closet . He pays that much attention to detail.

Choosing MAW for my project was a small leap of faith, but now that my home is nearing completion, I can say unequivocally that I would work with MAW again (I only hope the feeling is mutual). Their professionalism is exemplified in their honest pricing and thoughtful communication; their construction know-how exemplified by ample foresight and attention to detail. Scott and Mike recently completed a renovation of my townhouse - specifically, gut renovations of my bathrooms, all new lighting throughout the house (including replacing track lighting with modern-style can lights), painting of the entire house (all four floors plus the garage), and some water leak repairs. MAW did an outstanding job, starting with the planning, the designer recommendation, and the finish selections. Scott and Mike have been renovating homes for so long that their experience in all phases of the job was extremely beneficial. Their recommendations with regard to every item on the job came with expertise with regard to quality of the finishes, such as tile, lighting, faucets, stone, and much more. All of their suppliers for these components are also experts, which gave me great comfort during the planning and finish selection phases. Scott and Mike were always available for phone calls and texts. Either Mike or Scott stopped by my house during the renovation at least twice each week to check on progress and the quality of the workmanship. Their team who worked on my house were very professional, courteous, and perfectionists. When there were any questions during the installation, Scott or Mike and their installation team always asked me what I wanted to do, along with there recommendation. Documentation was also excellent throughout the process. The scope was clearly defined in a spreadsheet, and all revisions to the scope were clearly noted in a timely manner. I definitely recommend MAW, Scott, and Mike to anyone renovating his/her home.

I've used MAW for several projects. They are always courteous, professional and complete high quality work. They also do a great job of navigating the space constraints of a downtown condo.

MAW worked with us to do our kitchen renovations and we are extremely happy with his work and his crew. He would always let me know ahead of time if they were coming, if plans changed he would always notify me. He has a good working team that is reliable, he would check on the work himself regularly. No wonder he is successful in his career. He is not only a great builder but he is a good genuine person who listened to my changes and did not make it difficult for me. Reno in a time of Covid...what can I say about MAW other than they were not only our contractors for our two condo unit combination/renovation project, but also became very dear people to us during this crazy 2020! They are not only good people to work with but just good people full stop. We first sat down with Scott and Mike over a year ago to carefully and thoughtfully design our new home, combining a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom condo in our Streeterville high-rise. The construction began execution in February and we all know what happened next! This team was NOTHING but professional dealing with our complete building shutdown for nearly 3 months. When allowed back, they agreed to all sorts of safety protocols (many of them over the top) to work within the confines of our building's rules. Then we had an unfortunate flood in one of the units, and the team immediately jumped in to help us both remediate the damage as well as navigate our insurance claims. Add to that normal project challenges and yet the teams would show up to the job site with a positive attitude and completed our work within budget, on time (as possible!), and with great care and quality. Scott and Mike are truly very understanding, reasonable and fair in their contracting. On the job site, Mike and Armando's keen eye on detail and quality was very much appreciated. And Mario and his team did a very nice job completing the work. We would be happy to work with MAW again and recommend to others!

Scott and Mike are true pro's who excel at all aspects of general contracting. Their subcontractors are the best in the business at their respective trades and treat MAW's jobs on a preferred basis. The quality of the workmanship on every aspect of our project was top notch and their responsiveness made us feel like our's was the only job they were working on. We were particularly impressed with respect to how they handled the more complex components - Mike's engineering background is a huge advantage and enabled them to elegantly solve structural issues without sacrificing aesthetics. We cannot recommend these guys enough - they are the rare GC that you will enjoy working with throughout and continue to view favorably even once the work is complete.
