Intramuros Design Inc. specializes in residential design for new homes, renovations and additions. Local infill projects have been in some of the older neighborhoods of metropolitan Atlanta where it has been important for the home to blend in well with the character of the neighborhood. The scope and range of the practice has extended throughout the southeast from the mountains to the coasts of Georgia, North and South Carolina as well as Northwest Florida and Texas.

My wife and I have used Intramuros Design for three separate design projects over a period of twenty years. The first was a major renovation of our family home in Atlanta. The next two were a kitchen redo and a significant addition to our mountain house in North Carolina. In each case Walker Candler was extremely attentive to our input during the design process and very flexible and responsive to contractor suggestions during construction. We have been completely satisfied in every case and recommend Intramuros Design without reservation!

We have used Intramuros Design for several renovations over the years and, most recently construction of a new second home in the north Georgia mountains. Walker always brings a thoughtful approach in identifying our needs and desires and through a give-and-take process delivering a great product and end result. Walker is very creative, but also has a keen eye towards practical lifestyle and usefulness. We would highly recommend him for any project, large or small.

Our house was built in 1904 and remodeled numerous times over the past hundred plus years. Its character had been lost, but its good bones and structure were still there. Intramuros Designs' Walker Candler saw the potential and helped us to bring our Brookhaven cottage back to its original charm. He helped us to stage our renovations into affordable, bite size projects. Today, our house is our beloved home - thanks to Walker Candler's vision and expertise.

Waked Candler asks appropriate questions to assist you in determining your priorities. He was able to help us increase the sense of space by changing door openings to enhance flow, add closet space, add bathrooms within the existing structure and redesign the entrance. His plans were detailed with several options and presented to us quickly. We were very pleased.

Intramuros is wonderful to work with for any project. Walker is inventive and creative in his design, flexible on changes and ideas, and prompt to respond to questions and deadlines. We are very pleased with his work and would recommend him without hesitation.

I used Intramuros for a kitchen design, apartment renovation, and for plans to build a beach house...twice in fact. The plans for all 4 places were just what we wanted. He listened to our wants and needs and incorporated them into each plan. I would definitely reccommend Intramuros to anyone.

Walker (Intramuros Design) was great to work with... very thorough, great attention to detail, prompt in communication, and definitely listened to my ideas and goals for our project when working on the design. He also worked well with our builder and helped to oversee the project as much as I needed.
