“I have a rental property on Siesta Key that needed a landscaping overhaul; however, I live out of state. I contacted Native Son and one other company to get bids for the work. John and his team came up with a design and a maintenance plan right away and gave me a quote that was comparable to the other. I selected Native Son because they were able to do everything without my intervention - they even selected the best plants for my yard and arranged for an irrigation system. The installation went smoothly and the end result is a gorgeous update. Highly recommend Native Son Landscaping.”

Their use of water features, blasts of color, trees, shrubs, plants and vegetation combined create the most beautiful, serene and intricate landscaping. Such tremendous vision as they design, build and finish each project! In addition to their work, I can't say enough about the owners of Critter Ridge. “Wonderful to work with start to finish. Great communication, design, and execution of job. There were some plants and flowers that were not available but they helped me find something comparable and made sure I knew basics about maintenance and lifespan of the plants.”

“Turned our boring grassy front yard into a low maintenance low water use oasis. Told Dennis I was looking to cut down our sprinklers to make it more efficient and better for the hot Florida weather. He used a variety of succulents, cactus, agave, and tropical plants to bring my ideas to life. Can’t stress enough how great this turned out. A real show stopper.”

“My wife and I contracted "Landscapes in Paradise" 3 1/2 years ago to manage the landscaping needs of our home on Longboat Key, and we could not be happier. Working with Gary on the design and layout of numerous projects, we achieved magnificent results while staying in budget. His crews, whether on a project or performing weekly maintenance, have proven to be both knowledgeable and professional in completing the task at hand. “If you are looking for a unique water feature, Backyard Getaway is the answer. Their themed water designs are one of a kind and built with attention to detail. In addition, the owners are generous to the extreme, volunteering their time and expertise to schools and non-profits. We worked on a contest spearheaded by Backyard Getaway to give away a complete backyard makeover, including a custom pond, outdoor fireplace, pergola, hydroponic system and small storage shed. Definitely the type of people you'd want to work with!”

“Working with Jeff brought my outdoor space to life in a way I couldn’t have imagined. Jeff brought inquiry, expertise, imagination, and patience to his design work and together we discovered the most important aspects of how I wanted my outdoor space to look, feel, and function. These same traits carried over as he spent 6 weeks on my space, doing everything from sculpting raised beds and procuring and laying large boulders, to building a fire pit, to helping me choose plants and then planting them. Jeff is a professional in every sense of the word but it’s his kind heart that made him a person I looked forward to seeing every day during our project.”
