“Had an A+, 5-star experience. Wanted built in book shelves (and library ladder!) for a home library and spoke to a couple folks who didn't seem motivated. Called Ngrained Woodworks and they were on site in a couple days to take measurements. He got me designs in about a week, and made changes instantaneously. Stayed in good contact throughout the process. He visited again to confirm that we'd get a stain match to the existing wood work. Strong attention to detail! On install day, I didn't want to see any of it in progress - I just wanted to be wowed by the final product. Mission accomplished. It looks exactly as I had hoped and meets every expectation. If you need me I'll be reading books and dozing off in the new home library. If you need wooden decorations, fencing, or fine carpentry - get a hold of Ngrained Woodworks.”

“CWC remodeled our master bathroom and bedroom this spring (2014) . They LISTENED to us! This may seem like a small thing, but to us, this is probably the most important part of a project like this. They 1) heard what we wanted to do, 2) suggested great things to make it better and/or stay within our budget, 3) delivered high-quality results. They managed several different subcontractors who came in to provide electrical, plumbing, painting, and tile work. This project involved taking out a closet so we could expand the bathroom, and building a new closet along a wall in our bedroom. It also involved closing a closet in our room and opening it on the other side into our daughter's room. New tile, vanity, sinks, lighting, etc. were also part of the project. We love the results and enjoyed working with Travis and Beth. Looking forward to having them do a few other projects in the future.”

“I gave Gary a photo of a door I wanted. He reviewed the details, materials, and stain with me. He measured and we discussed the sidelights, type of glass, storm door, etc. He built an absolutely beautiful front door and storm door that matches the 1922 period of the house. We had a home showcase and he had the door in my the deadline along with a new house number overhead to compliment the door. Its a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.”

“We highly recommend Andrew for projects that require high quality craftsmanship at an affordable price. He was professional, courteous, and respectful of our home. Andrew consulted on our trim and door profiles and the installation of both did not disappoint. He also set our kitchen cabinets with precision. There were no surprises throughout the project and he exceeded our expectations. He also interacted amazingly with our family and children - for weeks afterwards they would ask when “Mr. Andrew” was coming back. Don’t hesitate to consult with him on your remodeling needs.”

“Derek did an absolutely amazing job on two custom built-in jobs in our home. We had him install a home office (cabinets, a desk and open shelving) and storage in a children's play area (window seat, open shelving and cabinets). He worked with us to stay within our budget without sacrificing quality or craftsmanship. He obviously takes great pride in his work, and it shows. He does not take any short-cuts, and the pieces were clearly built to last. He even thought about little details I hadn't -- like reinforcing the drawers in the built-in window seat in case my two children were to push down on them while they were open. I cannot say enough good things about Derek and the quality of his work. If I ever have any other woodworking projects, I would hire him again in a second!”

“We utilized their kitchen design staff to assist in designing our complete kitchen remodel. Very professional and knowledgeable about products. Offered advice on best use of space and listened to our preferences and budget. Accomodated change in plans until it was the way we wanted. Cost ended up less than the major home supply stores and we ended with better product and much better customer service.”

“In 2012, we had Shadowhill Custom Wood, more specifically the owner, Rick Wallis work with us for the final phase of our basement project which was initially being done by another basement contractor. However, we separated from him and were extremely thankful to find Rick for the most detailed part of our project. Since his experience demonstrated expertise in carpentry, we worked with him to finish our kids' desk/bookcase area and more importantly, the focal point of our basement, the fireplace mantle with bookcases on both ends. We also worked together to design two alcoves specifically meant to house artistic statues, and when finished we knew we could have never accomplished this with the previous contractor. Rick was extremely patient and very meticulous with the finer details and we collaborated together to bring our vision - with his experience and input - into reality. As this was the last phase of our project, we noticed that small things were left undone and needed to be addressed. We turned to Rick for help and as always he was very receptive to our concerns and helped us in every capacity to finish the project. Rick's work in other parts of our basement demonstrates his caliber and experience, which is not exclusive only to wood work but to other facets of the project as well, like installing led lights in bookcases, wiring for sound bar underneath TV and alcove overhead lighting, and many inumerous other small jobs. We have been very pleased with his work and are recommending Shadowhill Custom Wood to our friends for any remodeling needs. We are extremely grateful to Rick for being ever so pleasant in his demeanor that it made our interactions very productive and the outcome is self explanatory. We would without a doubt approach Shadowhill Custom Wood again if there was ever a future need.”
