“I have known and worked with Rita Henry and Distinctive Mantles on a number of projects since 1997. Rita is a very creative and intuitive designer, team player, and a problem solver. As with many design projects everything does not always come together perfectly or as planned. Walls aren't plumb, dimensions are imperfect and the planning for the fireplace, mantle or stove hood may need some modification. Rita always seems to have a solution to make things work out right and the end result turns out better then anticipated. “Distinctive Mantel Designs replaced our antiquated brick surround, 9-foot hearth fireplace with an Astria Rhapsody 42 Fireplalce and mantel. This process involved demolition of the brick surround and hearth, removing the old firebox, framing for a new firebox, drywall and installation of the new fireplace and mantel. The craftsman at Distinctive Mantel were professional, courteous, efficient and masters at all levels of this process. The demolition was not noisy and dusty as we expected but handled in an orderly manner with no dust. The brick and old firebox debris were removed immediately from our home. Each level of the process was handled expeditiously and professionally and exceeded the projected deadlines. We watched each stage of progress with amazement, wondering how Distinctive Mantel managed to find such masterful workmen. We are impressed with how smoothly this process was accomplished. We have not ever had this level of professionalism in the many projects we have undertaken in updating our thirty-year old townhome. Kudos to the management at Distinctive Mantel for having such a great staff.”
