Ziebart Construction

We've been working Ziebart Construction on plan for a remodel of our Master/Primary Bathroom. I can't speak highly enough of Matt and the team. The friendliness and professionalism is a breath of fresh air. We haven't started our project yet due to some financial constraints on my side but I wanted to at least get the word out there about Ziebart. I can't recommend them enough based on all my experience thus far!

After some challenges with our project, Matt the owner of the business handled the situation about as well as I've ever seen anyone tackle a tough conversation. He not only wanted to ensure that our issues were resolved but asked a lot of questions so that he and his team can continue to learn & improve. Opportunities to get better are always going to arise in business and in life, and it's how you respond to them that sets you apart. We're impressed enough to leave this review, and know that If you choose to go with Ziebart Construction on your next project you'll be in good hands

This has been a great remodel experience. Everyone has been so kind and helpful. Worker’s were neat and cleaned up everyday when they were done. Every item was clearly explained and work was done in a timely manner. Thanks Matt and crew. We love our remodel!

Ziebart Construction did a good job on our kitchen remodel and new floors. The process was fast, organized, and everything looks beautiful. They weren’t the cheapest quote, but we liked Matt and we felt comfortable him. There were some issues with communication on both sides. With the remodel, we weren’t happy with the layout of the semi-custom cabinets. The CAD drawings were 2-D so we couldn’t “see” how the cabs would look installed. The virtual tour would have helped, but we had to pay extra to replace & modify some cabinets. We ended up paying about the same price as full custom cabinets (+ $1000.00 more). The quality of all the cabinets were very good. To be fair, Matt was being careful as the virtual tour would have put us over budget as his quote was already at our max. He let us go over budget later when we asked with reasonable terms so we could get the fixes & extras done. We love the quartz counters but there wasn’t enough material left over to get a bigger island or a piece of stone for the window ledge without buying another whole slab. We didn’t know till the stone was cut so it was too late to get something else. We bought beautiful vinyl floors but they could not be installed without plastic transition strips in every door way in the house. Not their fault, we researched & bought the flooring ourselves. The store we bought it from didn’t make it clear that we had to have transition strips; only that our installer might want them. When Matt’s flooring guy came, he told us why we needed them. We felt committed at that point because the material was already bought & onsite. Ziebart Construction does good work and the little things we didn't like were addressed quickly. We do recommend them and will use them again for our bathroom remodels. For the consumer: Buy the $500 virtual tour if you’re getting new cabinets. Make sure you're prepared before each meeting. Some of our meetings felt rushed, but we did ask a lot of questions. Communications via cell, and text were responsive. Study the contracts and be clear about what you want & what you think you’re getting before you sign it. Do this via email before Matt comes over, he won’t have time to make changes onsite. We did LOTS of extra demo, prep, cleanup, purchases, & design decisions hoping to reduce the cost of the project. In the end, the price was the same as quoted which was disappointing but it does look beautiful. Keep an eye on the work as you go. The trades people are busy too and they don’t read minds. If you don’t like something; talk to Matt or Rick and they’ll fix it. *Note: When the final bill came in, the project did cost less than my math said it should be. I suspect that Matt may have reduced the remaining bill for the fixes/add-ons a little to fit my max monthly payment ability we talked about earlier. I think this speaks to the character of who he is and that’s another reason why we’ll use & recommend Ziebart Construction again despite the hiccups.

After interviewing several contractors for our kitchen and bathroom remodel, my husband and I felt immediately at ease with Matt. His professionalism and integrity shine through the moment you meet him. We initially bid out a modest bathroom and kitchen facelift in an old 1900's farmhouse. With his insight and resources, we were able to completely remodel both in addition to updates throughout the rest of our home (refinished hardwoods, paint, carpet, etc.). We had an aggressive timeline and he delivered on time and kept within our budget (aside from our requested change orders). Matt and his team of subcontractors surpassed our expectations and were lovely to work with. Matt was always available (never missed our calls) and patient with us throughout all the phases of our remodel. All whilst navigating effortlessly through the various COVID restrictions. We also had the pleasure of working with his lovely wife, Jacqui, who guided us through all the design elements. She made the overwhelming task of choosing paint, fixtures, faucets, tile, flooring etc., fun and fluid. She even showed up as we moved into our home equipped with homemade soup for lunch and helped us unpack! We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with Ziebart Construction and highly recommend them! We will be working with them again on future projects.

Our project included changing the center flow of our home (kitchen, LR, DR) plus the remodel of 2 bathrooms and master closet. Matt and Jacqui brought many creative ideas which helped us realize the full potential of our home while respecting our budget constraints. The results are gorgeous!

I am very happy with Ziebart Construction! While I was away on vacation, Matt Ziebart and company moved a wall in my dining room and opened up a window to the front yard that was previously hidden inside the laundry room. Framing, drywall tile flooring, electrical work, trim and paint.Texture match on the walls and ceiling. Newly placed outlets and switches. The work was stellar, and I plan to have more done next year!

If you are considering hiring Ziebart Construction, please take the time to read my assessment below. This was a full renovation of the interior of my house, so this was a very big decision for me, and I was nervous about flipping the switch. after thorough research on Home Advisor, I set up an appointment with Ziebart Construction at my home. By the end of the meeting I knew I was ready to move forward, and although I was still nervous, I was comfortable with the explanation of the process, the projected timeline, and what to expect. From the very beginning both Matt and Jacqui Ziebart were thoughtful, transparent, thorough, great listeners, quick to respond to questions and concerns, and open to other ideas and opinions. Matt did an excellent job coordinating all the people involved in this project. I was also impressed with the reliability, work ethic, and quality of the experts (plumbers, electricians, flooring/trim, tile, painters, etc.) that were part of the Ziebart team. Jacqui was great and helped with color coordination, lighting fixtures styles, flooring choices, and explained how it would all work together. I could not have done this without Jacqui's input. If you look at the before and after pictures you can see that this was a complete transformation and I am completely thrilled with the incredible results! I absolutely love my renovation house and I highly recommend Ziebart Construction!

We moved into a new house and wanted to find someone who could help us navigate all of the projects we wanted to get done to make the house feel like ours. Matt was great in helping guide us through some of those decisions and ended up replacing our countertops, some internal structural upgrades, upgraded lighting fixtures, as well as work on a design for finishing our 900 sq ft basement.

I had a full kitchen remodel. Matt and his team were great to work with, always responsive to my questions and concerns. Very flexible with few changes I would made. They did an amazing job and I would recommend for your remodel projects.

Very great contractor to work for everything was organized and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend them to other contractors or customers.

The project is handle by Matt and David. David is the person who complete most of the task including demolish and dry wall repair. We appreciate that he always looks into detail and have keep quality as high priority. For sure there was some argument between the billing and the schedule, but overall we complete a nice looking farmhouse style kitchen with light color wooden flooring. it is a good experience.

I had a really great experience with Ziebart. We had a small bathroom renovation that was done beautifully. There were a few issues that came up along the way that were due, in part, to miscommunication and misunderstandings. However, with that being said, Matt and his team were super-responsive and handled all of my requests and conflicts with grace. Very very happy with the end-result (just waiting for 1 small part to be finished). I would absolutely recommend Ziebart Construction. Matt goes above and beyond to handle customer satisfaction!

We love it! They did a large kitchen, bath whole house remodel for us. I was dreaming about it for years. Their crews always clean up after themselves. Matt Ziebart and I walked through my 100 year old basement to outline the scope of work and many items in need of repair, he helped advise (wisely) on things I would be able to tackle myself and what was best left up to the professionals. I can’t speak highly enough of Ziebart Construction and its owner, Matt Ziebart. He has excellent craftmanship, is very professional, and fair priced! He not only built a beautiful front deck for us, but he improved upon our vision for a deck and built a deck that does an even better job of utilizing the space than we imagined. Also, after doing the demo, when coming across a worse underneath structure of the deck than it had originally appeared, he not only decided to replace the entire underneath structure, but rebuilt it more solidly than before. Additionally, while here, he took care of a gutter problem and, once the job was finished, made sure to take the time to show me how do to maintenance on the desk in order to sustain it. He clearly cares about his craft and his attention to detail was impeccable. Combine that with a friendly disposition and his honesty are reasons I highly recommend Matt Ziebart and his company for your deck!!
