Wes Edwin Design is a cabinetry and furniture company in Kansas City. Designed, built, and installed by Wes Edwin, we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and the creative beauty of our design. Wes Edwin Design was inspired in 2011, in the heart of the Edwin household. Wes and Diana needed a kitchen renovation- a solution that was both efficient and aesthetically pleasing. Using his love of cabinet making, Wes applied his skill and passion to the design and creation of the cabinets and furniture that would sustain his own home in North Kansas City, MO. While perfecting his craft within the confines of their 1500 square foot home, Wes developed a keen eye for maximizing function and creating more efficient space. His products not only sustained function of everyday life, but also enriched the family's lifestyle through the tactile pleasure of handmade pieces crafted from natural wood elements. Today, Wes Edwin Design enhanced homes of all sizes and shapes by applying the Edwin's practical approach and passion for beauty. Each piece is designed to meet the unique needs of your family, and created with the same care and attention that is applied to the Edwin's own home.

He buys into your vision but also bring his own strong sense of style and a clear understanding of what works, which made our original idea even better in the final execution. Wes and team created a beautiful kitchen for us ! - It is the “Liberty Contemporary Kitchen” above in pics. A great deal of his work is off site for less disruption in daily life which is great. We moved our island, and put in all new appliances. He was open to ideas and different styles and adjustments when needed . He is easy to work with and very professional. Quality of cabinets is fantastic and we really love them. Thank you Wes!

We hired Wes to build a simple shelf and bottle rack, and mill two cabinet doors for a kitchen remodel project. He unexpectedly and abruptly withdrew from the project at a critical phase citing that he couldn’t take on more work. If he didn’t have the bandwidth to take on our small project, he should have told us at the onset and we would have understood. Instead, he waited WEEKS to tell us. I found his behavior incredibly unprofessional. Based on this experience, I would never recommend Wes Edwin Design to anyone.

Tom, we are truly sorry to have let you down, and understand the dilemma our delay caused you. We strive to offer the best in product and service to our clients and deeply regret that we were unable to provide that for you. We have learned a great deal from this experience, which we plan to apply to all future projects.

At the time we were discussing taking on your project, we were experiencing a surge of work and did not do our best at managing our workload of potential clients and existing clients. We deeply apologize for not being responsive about if we could take on your project which left you in the planning stages longer than you might have expected. We want to provide the best level of service to all our potential customers and we fully own that we should have more quickly let you know that we could not move forward to a contract with you.

It is important to note that our involvement in this project never progressed past the planning stages. We never entered into contract with this client, nor accepted any payment whatsoever from him. The demolition in the photo was not done by us, rather by the client’s contractor. The cabinet pictured is not one of our cabinets, and we assume it is awaiting countertop installation by the client’s contractor. The wall above the cabinet demonstrates only the absence of work we were intended to do, not any destruction we caused to the client’s property whatsoever. We do sincerely hope that the client and contractor will soon be able to find another professional to install their shelves, wine rack and new cabinet doors.

We feel that is it important for our clients to have a voice. We hear Mr. Mentzer’s frustration and understand where he is coming from. We also realize that with this review on our record we will have to work harder to gain the trust of our potential clients. Our promise to you is this: We ensure that we will strive to do our best to help our clients realize their home renovation dreams. We do not accept projects that we know we cannot follow through on. If you love our work, have read all our reviews and this one made you hesitate to contact us, we understand completely and would be thankful for the opportunity to discuss the issue further. We will gladly offer you contacts that you may reach out to personally.

Tom, again we apologize for the frustration we have caused you. We truly hope the very best for you in your remodel.

Wes Edwin is a professional! He listen to his clients and from their dreams he creates a masterpiece. Wes designed my bathroom cabinet and even though I knew what I wanted and talked about it with him. I was still blown away when it arrived. It was beautiful but yet so functional. I would always recommend Wes Edwin. My only hesitation is that he will be so popular, I might not get him on my next project!

We did a complete kitchen remodel and Wes was recommended to us by our contractor to help design our kitchen layout and create our custom kitchen cabinets. We was helped create our dream kitchen layout, and the end result was beyond anything we could have imagined. The final result is amazing and we owe a lot of it to Wes. We were so blown away with the final product of our custom kitchen cabinets, that we're actually working with Wes to create a custom kitchen table. Wes is always willing and able to help come up with solutions and is an absolute pleasure to work with.
