Second Nature Construction is a small construction company specializing in home renovations and repairs of all sizes and budgets. From large-scale remodels to smaller projects like the installation of a new fence or set of windows, we strive to deliver superior products and service to all of our clients. The company’s owners, Brent Cowan and Ryan McWilliams, have over 25 years of combined industry experience and 13 years of local work. At Second Nature, we understand the unique challenges Hawaii homeowners face and are excited to provide efficient, thoughtful solutions to such challenges. Building is our passion and we show this through our hard work and dedication to every project, it’s second nature to us.

Our kitchen in Ewa Beach had a pipe leak only a month after we bought the house, wrecking the entire newly remodeled kitchen, and sending us into an insurance nightmare. Thankfully, my wife found Second Nature and they came by to give us quotes, guide us through the reconstruction process, and be honest about everything that had gone wrong in the cheap remodel from the seller and how best to get our kitchen back. They also have great sub-contractors that worked magic with the drywall and have contacts with the best suppliers on island for countertops and air conditioners (one of our next upgrades). Now we have a brand new kitchen with higher quality cabinets, a much better feel to it, and I know the construction quality is head and shoulders above what it was. I will definitely be hiring these guys for future projects in our house.

I cannot say enough good things about 2nd Nature Construction. I’ve been hiring them for big and small jobs for several years and am continuously impressed with their work. Don’t waste your time or money with anyone else if you are doing work on O’ahu. The pictures of my projects speak for themselves. Can’t wait until the next project to call on 2nd Nature.

2nd Nature Construction and Brent Cowan is an awesome company. I have seen Brent’s work first hand and know he, and 2nd Nature Construction Is the company to help us with remodeling our downstairs to a “man cave”. Brent is a perfectionist at his craft, has excellent taste, an amazing level of professionalism, attention to details, and an easy demeanor. He has great ideas that are not only esthetically pleasing and efficient, but also will not break the bank! Brent has come out to view our project and distance did not seem to matter, when others would not even entertain the idea! We can’t wait to get started on our downstairs man cave! Thanks Brent and 2nd Nature Construction for agreeing to take on our project.♥️

We originally saw their work when our neighbor asked us to come over and see what they had done to their home. We were truly impressed and, when Brent and Ryan came to their home during the renovation process we asked them to come and look at what we were hoping to get done - renovation of all three of our bedrooms. We hired them on the spot and, were truly impressed with the qualify of their work and the timeliness of their time on the job - that we continue to use them for other projects. You won't go wrong using 2nd Nature Construction, LLC.
