Chi siamo

SKILL, PASSION, CARE Torba & Brown is a collaboration between Sylvester and Rob, who started designing and building high quality furniture and joinery when they met 10 years ago. Both qualified carpenters/joiners they immediately found they thrived on each others abilities, blending technical skill and design flair, with a keen eye for detail to help reflect your style and the personality of your home. INDEPENDENT, PERSONAL, LOCAL Having worked in the construction industry for the last 25 years Torba & Brown have built a network of excellent craftsman who work in harmony with us to deliver a first class product from conception and preparation through to fitting and finishing. Our aim is to make that experience exciting, inspiring and enjoyable for our clients. By remaining a small setup we are able to ensure our level of service is outstanding. All of our exclusive designs are made by our own cabinet makers in our workshop. This allows us to make those special little tweaks to add unique character to your furniture or project, creating a truly bespoke product.

Torba and Brown have recently fitted bespoke cupboards and drawers along one wall in our master bedroom along with a new headboard. I knew exactly what I wanted and the result couldn’t be closer. The overall quality and the finish on the painted fronts is exceptional as is the fit to our sloping roof and our non vertical walls. We wanted to match some dark blue furniture and so they have used the prescribed paint. You wouldn’t know the difference and we matched the handles too. The bonus was a stunning solid oak jewellery box with two levels. Again, the quality is exceptional. We couldn’t be happier with everything.

Rob came highly recommended - and we were equally delighted. Every aspect was tailored to suit what we wanted from the project; from details of design and the materials used, through to the complete colour palette for walls, ceiling, beams & cabinets! Whilst I often knew what I wanted to achieve, it was Rob’s experience and creativity that converted the ideas into reality. And the quality of workmanship and finish was excellent. We were genuinely touched by the attention to detail, pride in the work and the amount of time dedicated to making sure we were happy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend – excellent value. Thanks Rob.

Excellent kitchen. Very high quality cabinetry and design work with attention to every detail. We are delighted with the new kitchen and have now hired Torba and Brown to do a lot more work around the house including building work. Rob is a first class craftsman who really cares about doing things well.

Torba and Brown have met and exceeded our expectations with the kitchen and other bespoke furniture they have made for us. Rob's attention to detail in designing his kitchens and furniture is second to none and he listens to everything his clients say, no idea of the client is too difficult or onerous for him. They take great care and pride in delivering top quality units. Our particular project was not a simple one and they delivered it on time and on budget. The additional bespoke furniture Torba and Brown have created for us is beautifully designed and made and is commented on by all who visit our home.

I have worked as an architect on projects with Torba & Brown on various projects over the past 8 years or so. Rob Brown is one of the most conscientious and skilled project managers I have worked with and has managed a large team to produce repeatedly very high quality work. Rob has the rare ability to focus on detail as well as the big picture and is very good at looking after his clients above and beyond the norm. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

Torba and Brown have supplied us with a kitchen and wardrobes for our current home. We are delighted with the quality of the product, their flexibility and can-do attitude, as well as the value compared to other high-end bespoke providers. WIth the kitchen in particular, we provided a wish list of what we wanted to achieve: their design delivered all of this and more. We are now asking them to design and produce a kitchen for our second home.

We are thrilled with our Torba & Brown kitchen. Rob and his team were a pleasure to deal with from the initial meeting though to the finishing details. We felt honoured to have such talented craftsmen building our kitchen and have never seen attention to detail quite like it! Nothing was too much trouble and the team were so respectful of being in our home. We love the beautiful new space they have created for us. We also have a Torba & Brown larder, utility room and bathroom furniture, all of which we are delighted with. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Torba & Brown to anyone wanting a top quality bespoke kitchen.
