The work that Vince does is astounding. I had an original idea drawn out for my bookshelf and he was able to both capture the essence of what I wanted while also providing feedback and ideas to make it even better. My bookcase takes up an entire wall, is floor to ceiling, around a window, and he also had to deal with a sloped ceiling and working around a mini-split pipe along the wall. He did so excellently, which showcases his professional experience.

Pre Covid, finding dependable master craftsman was difficult. During Covid it was near impossible. With everyone putting their money into renovations and new homes outside of the city all the good contractors and craftsmen were impossible to get to return your phone call, yet alone show up. Vince, was an exception to the rule. He was direct and honest with his availability while also open to questions along the way. When engaged, Vince went above and beyond by not just executing the plans given to him but by making recommendations and suggestions for how to improve them. Most importantly, his suggestions were appropriate and very welcomed. We had a tricky set of custom wood working projects. One was a walk in closet that with a lower cabinet to hold a large safe. Vince spent his time researching our originally selected safe and even called the manufacturer for details that were unclear online. Because of this extra time he identified a critical problem in our safe selection which and prevented significant delays and loss of money. This was done without us asking. He then worked with us in detail to select an ideal safe that would work with our parameters and conditions. Very few professionals take this amount of time and energy anymore for their clients. Finally, the end product. Once installed the quality and craftsmanship were second to none. Vince is a rare find in the trade today. He is someone I would recommend with any project, big or small!

Vince delivered the custom-made moldings in a very timely manner, and they matched up perfectly to the original. Because I was so impressed by his work effort and craftmanship, I wanted to discuss some ideas I had for our cabinets and the kitchen (which at the time was under renovation). I also asked Vince to look at a set of drawings I made to get his professional opinion. After a few emails and phone calls to discuss some of the custom details I had in mind, I quickly realized that Vince was the right guy for our job. It has been a pleasure working with Vince on the kitchen in our new construction project completed in an Arts & Crafts style. My husband is very particular when it comes to fine construction details and wood finishing. Vince more than met the challenge and we have received numerous compliments on the quality of the workmanship. The space is a challenging configuration with a 120 degree angle in the exterior wall in both the work area and the breakfast area. I was very hands on during the design process and Vince was very patient and competent processing, enhancing, and implementing the many unique aspects of the design. The difficult space was transformed into a truly custom and beautiful yet practical central hub of the home. We were so pleased with Vince’s work and our ability to work together as a team that we contracted him for more woodwork throughout the house. I called Vince Lisanti at CCS Woodworks when a cabinet maker I previously used was engaged in a long-term project and was unavailable. I have previously had a kitchen remodel in our city apartment and know the value of custom cabinetry. Vince met with my kitchen designer and me and I was immediately impressed with his knowledge, ability and willingness to listen to all our ideas, offering his opinions based on his extensive experience. Vince kept us apprised of every detail as we went through the design and build process; I always knew the status of the project. He would often email me asking about some detail of the cabinetry spaces to make sure that every inch of the end-product was useful to me and exactly what I wanted. Vince is definitely a perfectionist, but when it comes to custom cabinetry isn't that what you want? My gorgeous dream kitchen is the culmination of many, many hours of creative design and superior craftsmanship. An outstanding level of finish, and total professionalism. Vince was hired to build cabinets for a kitchen I had designed at a client's weekend house. I've been a kitchen and bath designer for 20 years, have worked with many cabinetmakers, and CCS's craftsmanship is of the highest quality. The development process is intense, utilizing project management and imaging software that "builds" the cabinets step by step. I've used a lot of different CAD software as well and this was by far the best imaging experience I've had. Vince's process helps to visualize even minute details of cabinetry, allowing us to see areas of joinery or potentially awkward details that in most cases one would not catch before cabinets were already built. The software not only draws the room, it also is used by a computer system to cut the wood for the cabinets, making for a level of accuracy that hand cutting cannot approach. For a custom kitchen, this kind of technical expertise and minutely configured fit is very beneficial. In this particular kitchen, which had a ceiling that could not be leveled, we were able to anticipate visual solutions that we normally could have only guessed at. All of these technical systems are great but when it comes down to staining and finishing cabinetry, that's an art, which Vince also excels at. We went through a series of color tests to mix exactly the right stain, and Vince's choice of veneer resulted in a finished product that was everything I had imagined. And no computer software can complete an install; that depends entirely on the skill of the craftsman. This was one of the most solidly built, perfectly fitted and flat out gorgeous kitchens I've worked on. It's incredibly rewarding to see one's design realized so well.. It's possible that not every client will find the step-by-step process exciting; there are homeowners who just want builders to "make it so." For those who are willing to engage in the process, they may be more satisfied in the end, having been involved in all the minute decisions that are normally handled between the cabinetmaker and designer. But I imagine that CCS's commitment to delivering such an excellent product, on time and on budget, will satisfy even customers who leave the step-by-step to their designer.

Vince from CCS built us custom kitchen cabinets for our home in Astoria. His work was awesome. The cabinets look great and were just what we wanted. Vince helped us with the design and provided us with detailed drawings before he started working so everyone knew what to expect. The install went off without a hitch. Vince took care of everything. His attention to detail really shows. We ended up with cabinets that cost just a bit more than the stock ones available from places like the Home Depot but these are completely custom, built exactly to meet our needs and everyone thinks they look amazing. CCS Woodworkers made beautiful custom cabinets for our kitchen and pantry at a good price. Vince, the owner, made many valuable recommendations to our design and worked with us to make sure they were functional as well as handsome. They were meticulous with dimensions during shop shop drawings, which was very important since we had door swings and ADA clearances that were critical. We would definitely work with them again.
