For over 30 years our family has enjoyed the extraordinary services of TJB-INC. We began with lawn maintenance and snow removal. But after about ten years we decided to convert what had been an in-ground swimming pool into a koi pond within a water garden complete with two waterfalls and a couple of stone bridges. Ted and his son Rob were extremely creative in approaching this work and the results are extraordinary and of the highest quality. In fact, people passing by our home have stopped and asked our permission to come over and admire our landscaping, which of course we are very happy to grant. More recently Rob has elaborated on our landscaping by building up a rugged, almost alpine path behind our pond. Also worth mentioning is the thought and care that Ted and Rob put into the selection of plants to add to our landscaping in such a way that we have various colors being manifested throughout the seasons (we live in New England). Finally, Ted and Rob are extremely reliable in their responses to specific events (like snowstorms). We value their contributions both to our aesthetic lives and to our peace of mind.

Thank you for being a client for over 3 decades! It is a pleasure working for/with you to make your property a standout in the town! This client was the first to tell us, "here is our maximum budget, design us something beautiful" with out any idea of what was to come. They put full trust in us and it allowed us to tap into the creative juices and build a one of a kind water feature where a swimming pool used to be.

Ted is amazing. We had a complex problem with excessive drainage onto and under our driveway and garage following what seemed to be the crushing of a drainage pipe during work with heavy equipment (not by TJB). Several people came out and looked but Ted came on a cold, gray early winter day and not only looked but diagnosed parts of the problem on the spot and even before we hired him, he made a couple of quick fixes that helped a bit. He was pleasant, polite, knowledgable, and generous with his time and information. His proposed solution seemed to make more sense than what others proposed, and his price was not the lowest, but it was not even close to the highest. The fix needed to wait until the spring, and he came back this spring and created a swale, regraded the area, and fixed a low spot. He also dug two small drainage ditches and removed a lot very tangled invasive non-native plants. His crew could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I can't recommend Ted and his gang enough!

TJB is one of “the best” companies I’ve had the good fortunate to find who have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to address drainage issues, among other things. The quality of their work is top notch. When something reoccurred after an entire day and evening of hard rain, they were here the very next morning. They will always get to the bottom of things, no pun intended, no matter what. Ted and his son Rob are dependable and trustworthy and really care to get it right. I highly recommend them without hesitation. Thank you Ted, Rob and Glen.

Ted’s consult appointment couldn’t have been more valuable. He’s extremely honest and knowledgeable, and I would recommend everyone had a consulting appointment with him before a big job - even if you plan to use a different company to do the actual work. He’ll help you know if you’re getting a fair price and answers any and all questions you have about your home. The consulting cost seemed like a lot initially, but considering the amount you’ll save in the long run and peace of mind knowing you’re paying a fair price - it pays for itself. I initially got a quote for double the price it’d actually cost, and Ted helped me understand that. He even gave me DIY costs for parts we could do ourselves if desired! It’s obvious his knowledge is from many years of experience. He gave us so much information in a clear and concise way - about drainage, landscaping, masonry options, even to the tiniest detail like a pin prick mold spot on my house and what the cause was. Highly recommended!!

Below is my original review where I gave TJB a 1 Star Review. It was a slow start, however, yesterday and today Ted's crew came out and got the job done, building a terrific bocce court in our yard. The guys did an amazing job, knew exactly what they were doing, and were a pleasure! I will not hesitate recommending TJB for landscaping. They are very knowledgeable and professional! Great job Rob and Jay. Thanks, guys! (A month ago, we contracted with Ted to build a simple bocce court in our yard. Ted came out promptly, and we signed a contract. Ted agreed that the bocce court was to be built before Mother's Day. We paid Ted half the total cost, and have not heard from Ted since then. My husband has left numerous messages on his answering machine. NO RESPONSE from Ted!I hope we hear from you Ted! Today!!!!I hate to leave a ad review, but I don't know what else to do!If I hear from Ted in the next day or so, I'll update this review, but this is bad news!)

Wife needs to talk to husband. We have contacted husband last week and said due to the rainy weather and wet ground, we have been delayed on the project that was scheduled before this job. We explained that as the weather clears up and we can finish, then we will move on to the bocce court construction. Husband said he understood. I told him we needed a dry week to finish the current project so we would be on to his project the following week (which is next week). I said I would contact him end of this week to let him know our statis. ... TED

I asked TJB to help with a water garden project. This company delivered an invaluable combination of creativity and design talent combined with quite a bit of knowledge in the industry. I really new very little about ponds and water features and it was a great value to have a resource that helped me decide what to do and how to take care of a pond. They didn't over sell and really helped set an accurate expectation. I would highly recommend TJB if you are looking for a new water garden. They are the whole package.

TJB installed a koi pond for me on the front lawn of my property. the pond has 3 tiers with a large bottom pond where Ted added steps and caverns to provide protection for the fish. It is a beautiful landscape feature and a focal point of the property. Ted and his crew are knowledgeable and experienced and very committed to their customers. I have been very happy with, not only the installation of my water feature, but the on-going and annual maintenance they are able to provide. I find Ted to be an honest businessman and I would recommend him without hesitation.

We have used TJB Landscaping for four years for our snow removal. We share a driveway with neighbors leaving no space on the driveway for the snow to be piled up. The men who arrive in a very timely fashion to remove the snow are mindful of the driveway limitations as well as the importance of not blocking the street with the piles nor the neighbors' driveways across the street. We could not be happier with this service.

I am the general manager of the Calvary Baptist Church of New Haven. We have contracted the TJB-INC Landscape Contractor for snow plowing at our church site since 2006. In all these years, TJB carried out all the snow plowing jobs on time and thoroughly. Quite often we also made special plowing requests for our church meetings and TJB was always willing to meet our needs. During the most recent blizzard, Nemo, despite a record accumulation of 3-feet snow, TJB's crew tirelessly plowed our parking lot as soon as the road was opened. They even bucketed the snow to the side as high as possible to clear more parking spaces for us. I value greatly TJB's reliability and high quality of service.

My Husband and I hired TJB-INC to install a backyard water feature. A man named Ted came out and reviewed the site and talked to us about what TJB-INC could create for us. We told him we wanted to have a fountain built down in the back part of our yard that is always is wet. Ted suggested moving the water feature closer to the house so we could enjoy it from our patio and hear the sounds through any open window. He drew up a wonderful plan and gave us an estimate. Ted also told us TJB-INC did drainage work and gave us a proposal for the wet lower yard. We talked to several other contractors but Ted was the one that had the best plan and we were very comfortable with him. Their price was competitive with the other contractors. We signed the contract for both the water feature and the drainage work. TJB-INC showed up and were done in 5 days. They kept the work site tidy and respected the rest of my property. We are very happy with the finished results and would recommend TJB-INC.

They installed a narrow pond with 2 waterfalls and lights to replace an old preformed plastic one that was leaking. They did it in one day and did a fine job. This was done in late October and my wife and I can't wait to get outside in warm weather to fully enjoy it. At least the birds are enjoying it since it runs 24/7 while our old pond was not designed to do that.

I have had my pond for 10+ years with no problems and looking forward to another summer of enjoyment. The pond size is 11'x16' with 18' stream. it has 2 water falls. Ted and Diane take good care of their customers.

I hired TJB to renovate my 2 walkways, and widen my driveway to accommodate another vehicle. Ted's guys arrived on time, kept me up to date on the progress of the 2 jobs, and more importantly finished on time. TJB not only did an excellent job but also fixed a couple of items not in the the original quote for free. I will definitely use TJB again in the future and would also highly recommend their services.

Ha commentato: Outside water featureJust make sure if you live in an area that goes below freezing that the wall is sealed so no water can get trapped behind the glass and freeze causing the tiles to pop off or break.
