Thora is the perfect designer for me. I wanted to update my family room to be more functional but I don't like shopping. I know what I like when I see it but can't describe it ahead of time. Thora was very patient with me and skillfully directed me to pieces that not only served the purpose but brought character and interest into the room. I'm not that picky so was able to find pieces I liked from her collection. The only time I left the house during this whole process was so my husband and I could sit on the sofa we were ordering. Thora is a delight to work with, which is a good thing because I plan on doing more projects with her.

I highly recommend Thora Tam for interior design. Interior decorating never came easy to me. Thora made the decorating process more efficient and painless. She started working with me even before we met for the initial consultation. Thora asked me to post houzz pictures in my ideabook to help her to identify my "style" preferences (as well as my husband's). At the consultation, we discussed the scope of the project and budget. Thora made sure we stayed within our cost budget and still have an elegant and complete design. After the consultation, she made room designs on a 3d modeling application. We were able to better visualize the room, BEFORE purchasing furniture pieces, flooring, drapery, paint and accessories. Thora was quickly able to understand my style, and narrow down the selection process for each room. She was very receptive to my input, and was able to quickly find exactly what I was looking for. This remodeling project was a complete success. I enjoyed working with Thora. She is very professional and I trust her completely.

I am extremely pleased with Thora's services. I have used her for our home decoration and window coverings, as well as for a professional office complex's paint and carpet consultation. She is a good match for us. She is very approachable, courteous, friendly, responsive, and reliable. Her customer service has been impeccable... before, during, and after the sale. What I liked about her the most was that she didn't nickel-and-dime us for every little advice or suggestion. I can't believe that some other decorators who we interviewed would charge us for their drive time to our home, which was only 15-20 minutes from where they were based out of. Then they would charge 40 hours to do a small room and then still charge exorbitant prices for the furniture and window coverings. Thora has great taste and is much more reasonable, and she still does mostly high-end homes in our area, but is not above doing smaller spaces too. You don't have to pay more to get more. I trust her and would use her again. It may even be time to redecorate soon.

I highly recommend Thora Tam as being a top notch decorator who can work with any budget! My husband and I hired her services in May 2014 during the purchase and remodeling of our new home and have been working with her since. Thora is very resourceful. We will always be grateful for the guidance she provided us with our kitchen, bathroom and overall home vision. I met Thora around 2004 we did a project together and we are still working on many other projects now. I like how she can choose colors, furniture and decor together to make it a home. She is very patient and easy to talk to.

Thora is asensitive, happy spirited person with lots of knowledge in interior design, decor, colors and she is exactly the person you want by your side when trying to figure things out.
