Stephen Yablon Architecture creates inspiring and humane contemporary architecture that helps people live better in our time. Established in 1995, the firm is known for architecture that evokes our clients’ identities, enhances their communities, and enables them to innovate for the future.
SYA works with a wide range of non-profit, public, and private clients including the City of New York, Brooklyn Museum, Columbia University, Planned Parenthood of NYC, Angelo, Gordon & Co, Mount Sinai Health System, and The City University of New York. SYA has been widely recognized for design excellence including numerous awards, publications, and exhibits. The firm’s work has been published extensively including in Architectural Record, The New York Times, Interior Design, Metropolis, Oculus, and The Architect’s Newspaper. Among its many awards are an AIANY Honor Award and a National AIA Healthcare Design Award for the recently completed Planned Parenthood Queens. The firm has been twice selected for the NYC Department of Design and Construction’s Design Excellence Contracts and earlier was recognized as an important emerging firm by Interior Design and the New York City Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
