At StudioBARON Design, we collaborate with clients who prize the creative process as much as the finish line. We are a boutique design + staging studio nestled in, and inspired by, majestic Marin county, CA. StudioBARON creates living spaces that are inventive, aesthetically lovely, compelling, and comfortably liveable. You want your home to provide sanctuary in an uncertain world. We’ll help you navigate complex decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and identify sustainable investments. Wherever you live, we hope you’ll love, love, love it long after we walk out the door... Formerly a photojournalist for The New York Times, Linda Baron, the firm’s founder, draws on her extensive reportorial background to create a narrative for each design project. Linda is a true artist when it comes to creating a stylish, yet warm environment that sells my listings! If you are looking for cookie-cutter staging with furniture that you see everywhere else, look elsewhere. Linda provides a custom look for each home at a reasonable price.

Linda and her associates did a great staging job for us. It was a 1923 cottage in fairly original condition, but Linda’s appreciation for the vintage lines and craftsmanship of the home was apparent in her vintage staging. It was fun, low key, high quality and best of all, I’m sure the house sold for top dollar because of Linda’s great eye and top quality decorative items.

Linda is a marvel. She walked into my modest little condo and within 30 minutes, laid out a plan that was utterly inspiring, but still within my budget. It would have taken me years to figure out what she was able to visualize within minutes.... like knocking out one cabinet could bring in tons of natural light with an unobstructed view of the garden. Linda also took the time to educate me about using quality materials as well as where to splurge vs. where to be frugal. I have to say Linda was not only the brilliant designer of my remodel, but my biggest cheerleader. I am so grateful to her for elevating my space beyond my wildest expectations.

I chose Linda to work with after struggling with a small awkward living room space in a 1908 Victorian styled home. I wanted the home to feel modern and elegant without fighting the Victorian touches that already existed. I was referred through friend who used her for a small project in her own home. Linda created a floor plan along with very specific measurements of pieces so that I would not choose furniture that swallowed up my room. She helped me with recovering furniture, creating custom window treatments, selecting tile and the overall design. Linda is an experienced designer and with many connections in Marin and San Francisco. She has a great eye and her creative process involves being flexible with things that needed to be in the room. I had definite opinions of what I liked and did not like and she worked well with my style. I really appreciated how attentive she was to my questions and just getting back to me. That was a key issue for me when choosing a designer. I wish I could say that I stayed on budget but sadly my tastes and my budget were not always in synch. Since the project has finished , my family has used the room a lot more and we all really enjoy being the space. I always gets compliments when we entertain. I definitely recommend Linda.

We've worked with Linda on several home and garden/studio projects and she and her StudioBARON team are fantastic to work with. Linda has an amazing eye for design and color and she she works quickly to develop and implement magazine-worthy spaces for you. We recently downsized and have been impressed with Linda's ability to come up with creative solutions to the many "problem areas" of our home. Linda is creative and flexible but also has a strong business and project management background. We appreciated Linda's help with developing a realistic budget and helping us to prioritize what's most important. She and her team attend to every little detail! We are working with Studio Baron on a kitchen design and cannot sing their praises highly enough. Linda Baron is exceptional at distilling the vast amount of resources out there into a comprehensive design plan that is unique, completely in tune with what we are looking for, and perfectly in line with budgeting considerations. I'd seen and admired the work of StudioBARON Design in a couple of local, Marin county homes. Both of these homeowners raved about Linda's talent and creative, solution-oriented ideas so I scheduled a meeting. After viewing her portfolio I fell in love with her unique style and passion for design, so immediately hired her to stage my rental property that had been quietly sitting on the market for two months. Linda went right to work, taking care of everything and making this effortless on my part. She was happy to incorporate pieces I already owned with those from her own studio. When I returned from a business trip I was amazed at the results! Within one hour of posting my new ad, the calls and emails started to arrive. I leased the house within a matter of days! StudioBaron has done a number of jobs for me - living room, child's bedroom, kitchen consulting - and all of it has been outstanding, from design to conception. StudioBaron was able to come up with creative plans while being mindful of budget. And do it with the utmost professionalism and care from start to finish. The projects came in on time, on budget and on point as far as what I wanted. I could not be happier with the end result and would be happy to recommend StudioBaron to any of my friends.
