My husband and I stopped in Saturday and found a unique chandelier that we purchased! Love it! Plus they have a great and helpful staff that go the extra mile to find just the right piece.

Maison is a beautiful store filled with the most exquisite home decor. I could spend all day admiring their decor in the company of their friendly and knowledgeable staff. From redecorating a home or office, to picking up unique gifts, this store is by far my favorite place to shop.

Steve has provided decorating ideas, sources and design work from the start. This total home remodel has been effortless for us due to Steve's expertise. His many talents and resources have proven priceless.

I have worked with Steve Akin at Maison et Jardin photographing his work. It is always a joy to work with him, he is open minded about my ideas when I photograph his work yet tells me his ideas. I can see how he would give his best ideas to a project while listening and respecting the ideas of his client. The final results of a project is what I am lucky enough to photograph. Impressive in Steve's work is the diversity of style, from a country ranch to a modern seaside home, his work is unique and fresh.

Maison and the designer staff has helped me with numerous projects. Their expertise in design, function and uniqueness has helped to make my projects some of the most talked about and photographed ones in our area. They helped with our home in Corpus Christi, our home in Port Aransas and our ranch house in Woodsboro. Steve, lead designer and part owner is always considerate about existing components and finds ways to work them into every project I have done with him. This results in a unique look that feels like mine but comes with professionalism, enthusiasm and attention to detail from all those associated with Maison. The end result is congruent and beautiful in every way. I look forward to many more projects working with Maison.

My husband and I bought a very 1980's house in the Rockport Country Club in 2009. We wanted to update the exterior and create a more inviting entry way. We found Steve almost by accident, but what great luck! He was terrific! He created a dramatic front patio with a pergola and stone wall, complete with a concrete accent "rug" that became a central feature of the walkway. He also changed the exterior color to a warm gold that we just love. It gives the house a Spanish feel and sets it apart from all the other plain white stucco homes in the area. Steve was not only creative, but he came in on time and within our budget. He helped us with landscaping that turned out really nicely as well. Besides creating an awesome entry way, Steve was invaluable in helping us manage the project from a distance as we hadn't moved here yet during the renovations. He got us through quite a few structural disasters that were not detected during the inspection. We now also have a fine new roof and a new chimney that really compliment the new entrance. I would highly recommend Steve for any project large or small, interior or exterior. He is not only talented, but is a pleasure to work with. Steve has lived in Rockport for many years, so he knows every contractor in the area. Steve's reputation in the area is one of creativity and integrity He always puts the customer first.
