Kristine Sprague Architect specializes in Residential Design of new homes and additions/renovations. Located in San Clemente and servicing south OC, Kristine personally conducts the entire project start to finish, working foremost with the clients ideas in mind. The design intention is communicated via 3D modeling in Revit which the client can review on their own computer. Upon approval of the final design, the firm conveys the project through permitting and construction. The firm also has a depth of experience with interior design of kitchens, bathrooms and other spaces. She has renovated many historic houses built between 1790 and 1960 and is extremely conscientious about working within the home’s existing style to create a finely detailed addition or well-crafted renovation. New residences are designed in many different styles as the clients wish. Kristine is a 1989 graduate of Cornell University and has had a sole practice since 1999. As well as being featured on Houzz, Kristine has also been featured in various publications, such as Berkshire Magazine, Berkshire Eagle, and New England Home.

Kristine was just awesome to work with. She took our ideas and expanded them into a working plan. My 421 sq ft ADU seems so much bigger because of her thoughtful design. Her drawings sailed through plan check and we were able to start construction because of her attention to detail and knowledge of the workings of the planning department of our city. I couldn’t be happier!

Kristine helped us with a renovation of our San Clemente, Calif. home that included adding a bedroom/bath and remodeling the kitchen. The resulting design maximized the use of space and integrated seamlessly with the original 1950s home. I would like to provide my recommendation and profound appreciation for the architectural design and overall body of work that Kristine Sprague has performed on the new addition to my house. Kristine Sprague was recommended to me by the contractor that I have used for over 17 years, Brandon White of White & White construction. Kristine Sprague was always on time and on budget. Kristine was very knowledgeable of the local codes and ordinances and local "City Hall" processes, was a very valuable asset in streamlining the permit process, and is now a HUGE asset in the construction process. Kristine is very "hands on" and worked directly with me to create the architectural design that I wanted. And the final design still played within the original architectural design of my house. Kristine Sprague's ideas and suggestions to improve the design were considerable and valuable. My project is still in the construction process and I will update this recommendation with pictures when it is complete, estimated completion is Feb/Mar 2017. Thank You Kristine for making this process so fun and easy!

We wanted an extensive kitchen remodel, taking out the drop ceiling, as well as several walls, to open up the space. Kristine is very professional. She created the plans right away. She had great ideas and suggestions. She provided us with two optional layouts, each their own costs. She handled all the contact between the city for permitting and with our HOA. Her design/permit submission to the city passed with no changes. The structural engineer was recommended by Kristine, and his work was great. He clearly explained the options for changes we wanted to have done. Kristine recommended several contractors, who we had bid on the job, and the contractor we went with did a great job. Everyday there was someone on site working. The completed project was absolutely perfect.

We interviewed 3 architects for our house remodel. We decided to go with Kristine and we are happy we did! Our house remodel consisted of moving our existing staircase and adding a play room up stairs. The process involved getting an approval from the HOA, applying for a permit from the city, interviewing several contractors and 5 months of construction. Throughout this entire process Kristine was there for us every step of the way. We found her work to be professional, detailed and thorough. My contractor shared with me she is also easy to work with and will partner with her again for other projects. This was an extensive remodel and we were nervous about the process but through out the entire process we knew we were in good hands with Kristine. We are extremely happy with the results and I would highly recommend Kristine to anyone doing a house remodel! You are in good hands!

My husband & I decided to downsize and move to San Clemente, CA and found a home we really liked. We decided to renovate the kitchen and family room and master bathroom. A local contractor recommended we call Kristine Sprague for the architectural design of our new home. Kristine came out right away and spoke to us about the process and submitted a proposal and estimate for her work. She came in a little under budget and was in constant communication with us along the way. Our plans were quickly approved with our HOA and the city. Kristine continues to offer assistance to us as we move on to the bidding process. She really made everything seem effortless. She was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend her and definitely use her again.

I would highly recommend Kristine. We hired Kristine to help us rebuild our home after a fire destroyed the original property. She was fabulous to work with. She listened to our ideas then expanded the possibilities while still maintaining our original thoughts. Our vision was something country, cozy and we wanted to incorporate some of the unique beauty of the home we lost. She mixed craftsman style with warm modern accents. The resulting product is far better than I could have imagined. She met every deadline and we had very few variations/adjustments from the original plans so the project stayed well within the budget. It was our pleasure to work with her.

Kristine Sprague designed an addition to my 100 year old house that resulted in a beautiful new kitchen, bathroom and mudroom. The design opened up the first floor in such a way that instead of seeing a dark hole at the rear of the house, visitors can now see from the front to the bright, open new kitchen at the back. I live in a village on a very narrow lot, so the design was particularly challenging. It had to fit on the existing footprint and work seamlessly with the existing three story house. Kristine was a pleasure to work with and did a beautiful job. I would heartily recommend her.

We hired Kristine to design our renovation of an 1892 house near the center of Lenox, MA. Initially we intended just to renovate the kitchen and master suite but, as is so often the case, this turned into a whole house project, with the interior being completely stripped down to the studs, all services and utilities being replaced, and the sinking rear of the house being jacked up while the foundations of a 1950's addition were replaced. Kristine did an excellent job with both the initial design and in accommodating our many changes throughout this eighteen month project. As well as being technically competent and professional, she came up with creative ideas for subtle changes in the floor plan while retaining the original style of the house. She worked well with the main contractor on structural issues and successfully guided us through a planning application to convert the attic into a studio/office. Kristine Sprague successfully designed a sizeable addition to our 1902 house without compromising the original structure. With creativity and ingenuity, she more than doubled its size, restructured the older interior and still retained the farmhouse charm that had attracted us. Kristine is a consummate professional who understood what we wanted and worked closely and patiently with our builder and other contractors to keep us on schedule and within budget. She was a pleasure to work with from initial consultation through creative completion.

Ha commentato: No hood? Downdraft?This is the first I noticed that there is no hood or downdraft! I am surprised they got away with that, but it is in a very small town in Western Massachusetts so???? Check out one of my other project...
