Of course we are very disappointed to read your comments and we feel this is not a fair or accurate history of what happened. You would not want untrue or inaccurate information stated about you, so I am sure you can understand why we need to set the record straight. First, your pool was built by Tranquility Pools, not Scenic Landscaping.
Your pool was constructed 5 years ago. We said from the beginning that we do not recommend or warranty using glass tile in the pool because without proper care it can easily become damaged over the winter months when the pool water level rises and freezes at the tile line.

For a few years we had replaced only a few tiles that had fallen off whenever you contacted us until around year three when you had a more significant amount of tiles coming off in the pool after the winter. We have confirmed with your pool maintenance company that you did not hire them to provide winter services which are absolutely necessary for a glass tiled pool. We had warned you this might happen from the beginning, but you insisted we replace your failing glass tile anyway after our warranty period had ended.

As a stand up company, we agreed to replace all of your tile and also completely replastered your pool at no cost to you. Once again, you insisted we use a glass tile against our recommendation and you involved your friend from the glass tile distributor to provide all materials, specifications for installation, and also inspections throughout the installation. All this was done and approved by you and your tile consultant.

Recently, you contacted us again with the same issue of glass tiles coming off in the pool. Again, we confirmed with your pool services company that you did not use them for any winter services to ensure the glass tile would not be damaged by the freeze/thaw from high water levels in the pool. We continued to do our best to work with you and provided you with an extremely reasonable proposal to replace all the glass tile with a porcelain tile. It was under $10,000, not $25,000 as you stated.

We have text and email correspondence with you that confirms all that we are stating.

For years, we have done our best to work through the issue with you at our expense. Unfortunately, you refused to listen to the professionals and their recommendations initially and although you recently were willing to change from glass tile to porcelain tile , it could not be at our expense again.
