Neil Imsdahl was great for my husband and I to work with. Having moved from Kansas City we did not know what landscape plants/shrubs would be appropriate for Minnesota. Neil designed a beautiful landscape plan last fall and we are enjoying his efforts this spring. Each time we shop at Sargent’s the staff are always helpful and friendly.

Michael Blazing was great to work with. He listened and offered meaningful landscaping ideas in the planning phase. Communication was easy. The job was done on time and on budget. Sargent's always conducts their business with the utmost professionalism!

I've been a client of Sargent's for over 5 years. They have provided the design and installation of landscaping for two different houses that I've lived in. I have really enjoyed working with the landscape designer, Kate Tucker, and have found our working relationship to be a collaborative experience with good back and forth. She listens to what I want and has designed beautiful and creative installations that do well in the Minnesota climate. I've been very pleased with the professionalism provided by Sargent's, both in terms of the people with whom I've worked and the quality of the plantings. I am a repeat customer and highly recommend them.

Michael was fabulous to work with. We had plants to be removed as well as adding new plantings. He came out and met with my husband and I and listened to what we wanted. A plan was drawn up then and he brought the plan as well as sample plants out so we could see what we would be getting. Michael kept us in the loop on all aspects as well as sent me pictures of the final product when I was out of town. I would hire them again. Thanks much.

Sargent's Gardens has done landscaping for me for the past three years. I’ve used three other local landscaping services over the past 20 years, and none has been even close to as good as Sargent's. I have Sargent's do annual landscaping maintenance for me as well, and I couldn’t be more pleased with how beautiful my yard is. I’ve been able to add many more features than I would have ever been able to do myself, and keep it looking just beautiful. In my opinion I have the nicest yard in the neighborhood, and it’s largely because of Sargent's. My designer is amazing, and the crew that she brings out to my house each time we do a project is wonderful. They are always so attentive to everything I want, and handle every little detail. I’m quite particular, and as I’ve found out, they are too! The plants and trees that they bring me and the materials that they use are always of high-quality, which has not always been the case with other landscape services that I’ve used in the past. I don’t plan to use another service in my area. In my opinion, Sargent's is far superior.

Sargent's nursery designed and executed a very large backyard remodel this spring. Jeff Feece was fantastic and designed an amazing backyard living space. It included a new multi-level deck, patio with gas fire pit and seat wall, hot tub, and landscaping. The entire process was so easy with Jeff's help and oversight. I didn't have to worry about anything but I also felt included in the whole process. The work was done quickly and with such high quality. I honestly cannot say 1 negative thing about my experience with Sargent's. I had always heard that Sargent's was more expensive than other places, which turned out to not be the case. I had three bids from very reputable companies in Rochester and Sargent's was not only the most complete design but they were the more affordable. I have heard this from several other people that I have referred to Sargent's. I would recommend them to anyone! I love my backyard and have spent so much quality time there with my kids!

The team at Sargent's helped us from start to finish with our outdoor kitchen. From the initial design to the final product, the service was excellent and professional. Not only do we have a gorgeous new outdoor room, but the landscaping is amazing. The overgrown plantings have been removed and colorful size-appropriate plants have been added. Thanks to Sargent's, our backyard has truly been transformed.

As a city person, it was so hard to visualize all the landscaping in our new build on 1.3 acres in a semi-rural setting. As an avid Houzz user (I even found our builder on Houzz) I collected lots of images of what I liked, but couldn't really place all of the elements within a plan. Sargents put me in touch with one of their designers, Katy, who helped me from the start to visualize what we needed to enhance the new house and make the most of the existing setting. From the original drawings, selection of location appropriate plantings and utlimately execution, Katy and Sargent's were there to support me every step of the way, and do so much within our planned budget. The project started in the fall through the summer and was done in phases, and we needed to make changes along the way, but communications were maintained consistently so that the ball was never dropped. Each of the different crews were prompt, friendly and respectful of our privacy, and it was clear that there was someone on site at all times who was in charge and had expertise in the immediate task--with Katy always in the wings for questions and concerns. I am so glad that we chose Sargent's ---that result is beautiful (although still maturing, so I will wait for photos) and we look forward to using them again and recommending them to friends and family!

Sargent's can do some pretty spectacular large projects, but we were pleased to find they were equally helpful with our smaller, semi-DIY projects! We turned to Sargent's for help with landscaping when we first bought our home. Our back yard slopes toward our house, and we had no foundation plants, and the mature maple trees created shade that made growing GRASS a challenge! Michael Blazing came up a genius landscape plan to divert water that was seeping into our basement. We bought all of our materials through Sargent's, but to keep within our budget, my husband and I actually did the labor. We were so happy with how things turned out, that we continued to work with Sargent's on a rain garden in our front yard (also designed by Michael) which we get complemented on constantly. We look forward to working with Michael again!!!

Sargent's have done landscape design and installation for two of our homes. Hardscaping, trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and water features were all excellent quality and installed by professionals. We highly recommend them and couldn't be more pleased with results.

We had Sargent's design all the landscaping for our newly built house and are extremely pleased with the results. They managed the entire project for us, starting with plan and working through the installation and ongoing "tweeking" of the plantings. It was great having one contact person to deal with all our landscaping needs--sod, trees, shrubs, dirt, mulch and hardscaping. After only one year we're amazed at how lush our yard already is--a lovely mix of textures, colors and shapes, all native species that are low maintenance. The scope of our project was way beyond our capabilities, and we couldn't be happier that we placed our trust in Sargents. We know our relationship with them will be a long one.
