My Husband and I recently built a vacation home at Poipu Beach.Sara was one of the designers that was recommended to us,In our first meeting we were impressed that she wanted to know what our style and preferences were.Some of the designers try to tell you what you should want but Sara wanted to guide us to made the space our own. Being from Michigan and doing the project during Covid and having to do everything online was quite a challenge. She did a fantastic job communicating with us and keeping the project on track, which wasn't easy.She also gave us invaluable input on dealing with the challenges that come with Island living.In the end we couldn't be Happier with how everything turned out.It has more than exceeded our expectations and gave us the beautiful,comfortable and relaxing home that we were hoping for.Sara Is Five Stars with+++. We are more than pleased with Sara's designs that were implemented in our new 3 bedroom condo in Poipu. Sara worked with us to find our style and personal taste, and bring it together with furniture and accents that would bring us comfort as well as durability for rental traffic. She was very flexible to meet our requests, and has plenty of resources to support her work so there was no delay in finding alternative options when needed. What we appreciated most was Sara's responsiveness, clear communication, and mindfulness to the budget. We were able to collaborate online and by phone with Sara. I can't imagine using any one else on the island (or State for that matter) when it comes to a large remodel project. Sara not only possesses a great sense of style and eye for design, she also has all of the project management skills typically lacking in a "creative type". She was 100% on time and on budget, providing excellent communication throughout. Not only was the finished product above my expectations, the work throughout (design boards, samples, drawings, invoices, etc.) reflected a high degree of care and professionalism. If you are looking for a turnkey designer, you could not do better than Kala and Sara.

I absolutely love, love how my Kauai beach condo turned out !!!!!! When we bought our condo, I knew it needed to be remodeled, but was really skeptical trying to try to do this project from Arizona in Kauai. When I saw Sara's website, I was so impressed with her work, that I knew she was the only one to do our job, and that we really could remodel and love it! She was perfect from the get go! She helped redesign the condo from lighting to moving walls, Then her design choices of furniture, fabric, paint, and art made the end result just breathe taking!!!!! When we walked in, we were totally blown away by how gorgeous it turned out, and so is everyone else that walks in!!! She captivated the view of the ocean by using accent colors, so both the ocean and condo just pop and make staying there truly magical! We loved working with Sara, and totally trusted her expertise. It was a fantastic experience, and I am so thankful that we found her to make our dreams come true!

Sara was a delight to work with! She listened intently to our preferences and goals for our project, and worked diligently to meet our stated goals producing outstanding results! I heard about Sara and Kala Interiors through a builder that I know on Kauai. I had seen her website and loved the color and design I saw there. I met with several different designers for the home we were looking to furnish. A 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom beach house that will be used as a vacation rental. That means it needs to be beautiful, comfortable and kind of bullet proof (vacation renters). Sara did an excellent job! She stayed in budget, on schedule, and mostly importantly created a beautiful and special place for us to share with those who come to beautiful Kauai and rent this special beach house.

We found Sara on the internet, when we were searching for someone who could help us pull together our newly remodeled home. We spend a great deal of money on the remodel but it lacked all the fine details that make it “Wow”. Boy did we hit the jackpot with Sara! She came to do an assessment and we were immediately impressed with her professionalism and her imaginative ideas, and she was very cognizant of our budget. She “got” what we were looking for and very soon we had some great selections to choose from. She was always available, even via texting with photos when we went shopping in Honolulu. When our orders arrived, she drove out and installed them in just the right place and the right way. She also made some terrific suggestions on improving what we already had (and for which she hadn’t even received a commission). We received tremendous value for what many have called a “stunning” decor, and we’re extremely delighted with the results… it really feels like a totally different house. Sara is a dream to work with, and if you’re lucky enough to get her when she’s available, I know you will be as impressed as we have been.

After purchasing a condo on Kaua’i, my husband and I went on a search to find the best design talent on the island to renovate our Hawaiian home.. Since we would be living here part of the year, we wanted to turn our new place into the Hawaiian home of our dreams. After much research and countless recommendations, we chose SaraLambson, the owner of Kala Interior Design. What a great decision! The process from beginning to end was so delightful. Sara really listened to our input before making recommendations and layout out a plan. We found her to be professional, responsive, resourceful, and loaded with great ideas. From paint colors to furniture, rugs, fabric selections and beautiful art, Sara created a livable and stunning oasis for us to enjoy.

Collaborating with designer Sara Lambson of Kala Interior Design on the renovation and furnishing of our home, gave us the home of our dreams. Sara turned what could have been a challenging project into a smooth and seamless creation of a beautiful space. Sara’s technical expertise, creative flair with design, color, fabrics, and knowledge of the area we live in, combined to give us not only what we wanted, but something better. We had Sara remodel our condo at Regency Villas. The experience was simply amazing. In remodeling our condo, we wanted to give it that “Hawaiian Feel”, while also making it feel like our home. Sara was a joy to work with, as she took time to get to know us, before and during the remodel. This allowed her to fully realize our vision for the unit by taking into account our likes and our dislikes. She especially listened to what our son wanted for his loft. In fact, that ended up being our favorite out of the many amazing rooms. She did all of this while coordinating with us on the mainland. It was great knowing that we could trust her to insure everything was completed as promised. She did a masterful job of coordinating not only fabrics and furniture, but also the painters and other subcontractors. Sara made sure every detail was finished to perfection. And she also insured that there will not be another condo that is finished like ours. When it was finished, we really, really had our new Hawaiian home!
