Wow, I just have to give a huge shoutout to Eastside Design & Build for turning my blah kitchen and bath into spaces that I'm absolutely stoked about! From the get-go, these guys were on it. They listened to my ideas, added their own cool suggestions, and basically turned my vague vision into reality. Plus, they kept me in the loop every step of the way, so I always knew what was happening. Their work is legit artistry. The kitchen and bath? Total jaw-droppers. The attention to detail and their passion for quality is off the charts. They even wrapped things up right on time and within the budget! Eastside Design & Build isn't just a remodeling company; they're like a bunch of remodeling wizards. If you want to turn your dreams into actual, real-life spaces, these folks are it. We have had the same apartment in NYC for more than 40 years. I moved in in 1976 as the second tenant of a 1974 building. All the fixtures were contractor grade and, after 40 plus years and many more to go, a new kitchen and bathroom were needed. Everything we had heard about renovating an apartment in NYC was a horror story: cost overruns, unreliable contractors, etc. Having never renovated anything before, we were apprehensive, to say the least. We searched, planned, and vetted design build firms located in NYC for two years prior to our project. We narrowed it down to three, received proposals from them, and selected not the cheapest – but not the most expensive either. They also happened to be located two blocks from our apartment. We can tell you without hesitation, you need look no further than East Side Design. Samir and his team worked tirelessly with us to design and plan every aspect of the makeover. They gave us appropriate push-back, presented smart options and alternatives, respected our wishes, and always kept their sense of humor and professionalism. They also kept us on budget! The only surprises we had were of our own making: pricing tile and then expecting it to be the same two years later. But everything that Samir was responsible for stayed consistently priced. Despite labor costs increasing during the pandemic, he kept his word and kept the prices we had agreed to. East Side Design managed every aspect of the project and worked with our building management, city inspectors, painters, and our cabinet makers. When the doors we wanted were going to take 6 weeks to arrive, East Side suggested their workers build them. They were perfect....better than what we were going to order. When we had a tricky tiling situation, they provided a beautiful, sleek alternative. And the work they did...all of it...was precise, artful, and done with pride. Our building manager came by the other week and could not believe the tile work in the bathroom. He mentioned that he had seen a lot of less-than-good work during his years. It was clear he was impressed; so were we.....completely, and with the entire project. We would work with East Side Design, Samir, Georgi, Karen, Gocha, and their team members again, without question or hesitation. We also recommend them in the same fashion. p.s. Berceli remodeled my kitchen and bathroom. As with most construction projects, there were unexpected issues that arose. What impressed me the most about Samir and the Berceli team is the way they were able to deal with the expected and the unexpected issues, and there were several. Samir and Giorgi’s design turned a pipe that went through the middle of a wall we knocked down into an architectural structure instead of just covering the pipe as other contractors suggested, it looks beautiful and no one can tell we were trying to cover a pipe. Both projects exceeded my expectations. I also appreciate that Berceli was there to help after the projects were completed. Several years after my kitchen remodel, I bought a new microwave that did not fit into the built-in panel set up for the old microwave. When I told Samir about the problem, he did not hesitate to cut the panel for me so that my new microwave would fit. When my son decided to remodel his bathroom and tear down a wall in his living room, I did not hesitate to recommend Berceli and they did not disappoint. He loves the remodel. I will definitely use Berceli on any of my future renovations and I highly recommend them without hesitation. JH

Overall, I found that Berceli was accommodating, skillful, focused on the project and ensuring that my expectations were fulfilled. The various subcontractors/professionals that Berceli used clearly demonstrated the focus, attention to detail and craftsmanship that I would describe as first-rate. I was pleased with my experience with the staff working for Berceli that helped me with a firm understanding of how the project would appear based on the renderings provided to me by the designer. Very pleased with the focus and dedication of the actual crew members that worked as part of the Berceli team throughout the entirety of the project. The regular visits by Ronnie ensured that I maintained a comfort in knowing that he was actively involved with the management of the renovation project made it clear that the renovation to be a success. In the end, my completed renovation has provided me with a completely new and different look such that I feel as if I have moved into a new place.

Our last project with Berceli was in 2011. We are very pleased with the work done at that time and would not hesitate to go back if we have another project. Ours was a bit complicated as we had our kitchen and 2½ bathrooms done by Berceli in 2005, but then moved to another apartment in the same building. Berceli were able to move much of our cabinetry and appliances over and duplicate the bathrooms. Their workmen were very professional!
