We had a very good experience with Roloff Construction for a kitchen remodel. The bid was accurate with few change orders. Communication was typically fast and detailed. They were open to working with our ideas and needs. The work quality from their crew and subcontractors was solid.

I found that working with the entire team at Roloff was an easy process. They are professional and thorough, their employees are trustworthy and their subcontractors do good work in their respective fields. The scheduled work was completed as expected and on time with no "surprises" experienced. If I have another remodeling project come up, I will happily work with Roloff Construction again.

Roloff Construction is top notch! We started out with a modest remodel that turned major and were very pleased with the everything they did. Nathalie and Mike are great to work with and made excellent suggestions that we wouldn’t have thought of. Leigh, the in house decorator, helped us pick out just the right finishes, and even helped with new furniture that complemented our space. I would highly recommend these guys without reservation!

We selected Roloff Construction to update our kitchen as it was dark, busy, and outdated. One of the reasons I wanted to work with Roloff is that they were full service starting with design consultation. The design team made recommendations for finishes, appliances, sinks, etc that really elevated the space and brought so much light into the area. Each sub in the job was outstanding and each step scheduled for efficiency. We are so pleased with the outcome!!! We would highly recommend Roloff Construction services!

Roloff Construction accomplished a very difficult design/remodel of my kitchen and bathroom. My house was made of block walls and poured concrete floors and I wanted to open up the kitchen to the back deck, adding a new door and much larger window space. The kitchen was small and the ultimate design with a kitchen island (without expanding the footprint) has proven to be a marvel of efficiency and ease of use. I am exceedingly happy with the outcome and the skill and persistence of the Roloff crew in dealing with construction setbacks related to the unusual original construction details of my house. I don't think many other remodeling companies could have handled this job. I would say that I did have to wait quite a bit of time before Roloff could get my project on their schedule and then after the kitchen/bath was complete, some of the final checklist items took quite some time to complete; however, this was offset by the absolutely amazingly on-target adherence to the construction schedule once the remodel began at the demolition stage through to the end of the scheduled completion. Their crew was there every day, I had a schedule that was adhered to very closely and the only exception was that during the pandemic the schedule had to be altered to accommodate the safety requirement that only one sub be in my house at a time. I would highly recommend Roloff Construction for a remodel. I have a beautiful kitchen that has made a huge difference in my home.

The Roloff crew was great to work with. In the design process they came up with ideas we had not thought of (and never would have) that ended up really making our kitchen space perfect. They took our tiny kitchen and made it much more usable and beautiful. Wesley made sure all the details were perfect and was really easy to work with. My only disappointment is the cabinets. There is nothing wrong with them, I just feel like they fall flat compared to the rest of the fixtures and flooring.

We used Roloff Construction for a remodeling project in the fall of 2020 and are very happy with not only the results but also with the whole process. We wanted the remodel to fit in with the 1922 era of our home and Roloff also values this highly. Friends who have seen the project exclaim that it looks like it was original to the home and we are so pleased. This project was also done during Covid and during the smoky wildfires and Roloff was very attentive to Covid safety procedures to keep everyone safe. Their design team worked closely with us and their timeline was accurate. We highly recommend them.

Roloff has been my remodeler for over ten years. Including an award winning bedroom addition, kitchen, master suite and wine cellar and outstanding sunroom. His people are professional, easy to communicate with and get the job done. His most recent project is new living room windows. He carefully selects his subcontractors. With all their experience Mike and Nathalie have great remodeling and design ideas as well.

Everything about Roloff Construction is highly professional, skilled and competent. From the beginning of the process to the end, communication was excellent, follow-through was consistent, and the workmanship was exceptional. Work began and ended on schedule and was completed above our expectations. Personnel in the office and on site were friendly, easy to work with, and knew exactly what they were doing. They took our vision, refined it, and produced a beautiful, functional result that we will enjoy for many years to come.

Roloff Construction did an amazing job on our house! The project was big and included work on every level. They finished our basement which added two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a family room and a flex space as well as incorporating a laundry space and large storage closet. On the main floor the back door needed to be moved to accommodate the new basement stairs and in that process they found a space to add a pantry that the kitchen needed very much. On the top level (which originally had two bedrooms and a half bathroom) they converted the half bath to a full bath by rearranging the walls in a way that allowed us to add a walk in closet to the master while retaining the second bedroom. The project took around 5 months and ended essentially on schedule even with a few discoveries that necessitated extra work. Roloff Construction did very high quality work in our home and their design choices were on point. They also worked very hard to help us stay as close to our target budget as possible. Their communication was excellent as well and they were always available to answer questions. We will definitely be using Roloff Construction again in the future.

Amazing work! The fireplace and built-ins look like they’ve been here since the house was built in 1910. Our living room looks brand new. Roloff’s attention to detail, expert craftsmanship, and customer service is elite. We appreciated their advice and being flexible with additional requests.

I can't say enough about how easy and wonderful it was to work with Roloff Construction. The things that impressed me were... * they were always available to answer questions either by phone or email * I got a calendar that told me when they were coming and what they were going to do that day. * they kept me well informed about the building process and if there were any changes to the original plan. * extremely impressed with the excellent workmanship of the Roloff team and their tradespeople. * they finished the job on time * ALL members of the team were respectful of my surroundings and did their very best to reduce stress on me during the construction project. The end result is so beautiful....like a work of art. The project was to add a room onto my home to house a bathroom/laundry room. I didn't want to increase the footprint of my home so they only had 70 sq ft to work with by extending the existing second story. The design of the 70 sq ft addition is not only beautiful but functional and efficient...which has brought me joy. I love showing off my new bathroom/laundry room. You won't go wrong by hiring them.

We created an upstairs master suite with a dormer bathroom, walk in closet and built in armoire. We also finished basement space for a media room. The Roloff crew was wonderful, doing a quality job every step of the way from helping with design and fixture choices, to major structural work supporting the new upstairs addition. Every day they were professional, worked hard, cleaned up their mess and were very respectful of the fact that our family was living here during the whole project. Their knowledge and quality of work were impressive and they were able to work within the budget we set. I don't miss the construction, but I miss the Roloff crew. We would definitely hire them again and they were worth every penny spent.

I asked them to take care of some exterior dry rot. They were polite, punctual, and we were very pleased with the work. Dry rot problems are very difficult to bid because no one knows what will be found once the siding is removed. So Michael bid "time and materials", a dreaded phrase that pretty much gives a contractor freedom to work long hours and buy tons of materials. The job came in under my cost expectations. I'm having them back to remodel my bathrooms.

The Madeleine School engaged Roloff Construction for the remodeling of the boys and girls restrooms in the 1967 wing of the school. Roloff helped us develop the scope, and worked with our designer on lighting and tile selection. The project only had a few weeks in the summer to get through abatement, demo, flooring work, ceiling work, plumbing, tile, and partitions. They finished on time and on budget, the bathrooms were ready for the first day of school in September. Their communication, their work, and their people are all professional. A pleasure to work with.

I have worked with many designers over the years and Nathalie Roloff of Roloff Construction is absolutely the best. She has intuitive and impeccable taste, works to understand the style and preferences of the client, is sensitive to the allocated budget, and helps to guide you through what could otherwise be a confusing, tedious or frustrating process. Nathalie makes designing and decorating fun, creative, expressive and satisfying. I have lived in my house for 20 years but have never loved it as much as I do now after Nathalie helped us transform our living areas. I can't wait to work with her on the next project!

This was the second project Roloff Construction has done for my home. I rehired them based on a very successful kitchen remodel project approximately 6 years ago. This most current project involved the remodeling and update of all 2.5 bathrooms in my home. Owners Mike and Nathalie Roloff are a great team. Nathalie Roloff is the quintessential designer, paying attention to every detail and ensuring the final project is a reflection of the homeowner's vision for both beauty and functionality. Mike Roloff is cool, calm, and positive, and is creative in transforming Nathalie's designs. The final project was everything I expected and more. As for recommendations for improvement, I would have preferred more personal contact and less requests to make decisions over e-mail and from digital photos. Also, I believe some disconnects could have been avoided with slightly more frequent updates, status reports on project progress, and written confirmation on decisions made along the way. With that said, Roloff Construction personnel were knowledgeable, skilled, and courteous, and were "invested" in ensuring the project met all of my expectations. I believe some sub-contractors, however, needed more contractor oversight. Opening my home to people I don't know while I am away at work requires a great deal of trust. Coming home to find things left not as they were found (lights on, not all door locks secured, taking over a portion of the garage and blocking my ability to park in the garage) was not acceptable. As these problems arose, Roloff immediately addressed them and took corrective action. I recognize any remodel project is a disruption for the homeowner and there are always surprises that cannot be avoided. Roloff Construction did their best to minimize as much of this as possible.

Nathalie, Mike, and the entire crew at Roloff Construction were amazing. From start to finish, our bathroom remodel was beautifully designed, thoughtfully managed, and precisely executed. The project was on time and on budget, and the entire experience was beyond our expectations. We cannot recommend Roloff Construction more highly and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

I am a homeowner and have lived in my 1937 tudor home for 28 years. The main floor bathroom was one of the few remaining areas of our house that really needed attention. Nathalie Pillsbury/designer with Roloff Construction was highly recommended to me by a closet designer my husband and I hired in 2014. Nathalie helped me create a vision for a totally transformed bathroom with beautiful textured ceramic tile on a feature wall providing an artistic backdrop for a sleek, white, freestanding soaking tub. Honed marble embellishes the vanity counter-top and accents the glassed in shower. No detail from the crown moulding to the heated french limestone floor was left out. I have found that what sets the Roloff team apart from every other contractor my husband and I have worked with is that I was included as an integral part of the process. I was invited to choose fixtures with Nathalie and also to give final approval on towel bar placement , knob and pull placement, and asked what it was that I would like to have in the shower. Nathalie listened to me, pared down the options thoughtfully and then we talked about the final plan. It is important to note that the tradespeople that the Roloff Construction hires are incredibly talented, respectful and a pleasure to have in my home. I was presented with a timeline describing which tradespeople would be present on any given day, and also had a project manager, Debbie, that gave me a clear idea what the next week was looking like throughout the whole project! She was there as well to answer any question that might come up and streamline everything from inspections to fixture delivery. Although we had a few change orders throughout the process, initiated by my husband and I, all was handled by the Roloff team seamlessly. We knew costs prior to having work done and all payments were to schedule so there were no unexpected, hidden costs. I would recommend this team to my dearest friends...oh I have.

We needed more closet space in a recently purchased home. Roloff converted a small alcove next to a bathroom and across from a laundry room into a practical and usable linen closet. Mike did his best to find a bi-fold door that matched our home's existing bifold doors. Debbie kept me informed of the project team's time table (arrival of team members, supplies, etc.). Ian built the frame for the closet and did the finish work. A husband and wife team hung and finished the drywall. I was impressed with the attention to detail and quality of the work. They were also very conscientous about cleaning up after themselves. I will choose them again for future projects.

The Roloff team recently completed a full bathroom renovation converting it from a tired 1940's look to a sleek, modern version. We are completely happy with the result. Nathalie's sense of style and practical possibilities, was indispensable. Mike's quiet equanimity and professional judgment helped navigate the one or two surprises that inevitably crop up in remodeling old houses. Their employees and subs were highly skilled and pleasant to have in the house, always very careful to minimize intrusiveness and in cleaning up. The tiler was meticulous in his art and craft. Debbie, the project coordinator, was on top of every facet of the scheduling and kept us fully advised at every step of the way. She was a pleasure to work with, as was the entire team.

From the first visit with Nathalie at Roloff Construction I felt I was in good hands. She "toured" both my bathrooms, listened to what I thought I wanted, then worked to refine what I was saying into something fabulous. My master bath required some demo to make one large space, Everything added was new. The guest bath included a new vanity, flooring, sink, toilet and fixtures. Nathalie & Debbie did a lot of hand-holding, going with me to choose tile, counter top material, lighting, cabinetry and were very helpful with suggestions for paint color. They even suggested paint colors for my Master Bedroom, which was actually part of the job. Beyond the design stage, as demo and work approached, I was present when all subs visited for a walk through. A detailed work schedule was provided and all work went smoothly. I was kept up to date on who would be arriving or if there was a change of schedule and was amazed when the project plan was adhered to except when work was completed early! When the work was almost done several walk through sessions were scheduled, a punch lists made and all work completed. Aside from the hands-on work of the Roloff staff, their subs were wonderful - from the demo guy who worked hard to keep the demo material to one small drop box, to the sheet rockers who were careful to keep the dust at a minimum to the tiler who did an amazing job with the shower and floor tiles, the job exceeded my expectations. I love my bathrooms -- my cats too love the heated floors --and it's more than I expected. After all was complete, I received an inch-thick notebook with copies of all surface types and how to clean; lists of lighting, plumbing and other fixtures; instructions for the heated floor; paint colors, et cetera. Beyond the professionalism of all involved, I had a sense throughout that Natalie and her crew really wanted to make this remodel fabulous for me. And they did.

Roloff Construction Company provided us with nearly a whole house remodeling. BEsides more minor upgrades to flooring, paint and finishes in the other rooms of the house, the remodel included: a complete renovation of our kitchen and kitchen dining area (flooring, cabinets, appliances, granite counter tops) along with a 13 X 8 addition to provide a separate dining nook with built in banquette, complete renovation and restyling of our three existing bathrooms, including new heated tile flooring and tile showers, wood cabinets and granite or quartz counter tops. The designing, (along with our architect Tyler Robinson) and building of a low maintenance deck which extends around the better part of three sides of our house and includes a wonderful covered area in which to barbeque and entertain during rainy weather. We also had complete replumbing and updating of the electrical. Mike Roloff and his wife, Nathalie Pillsbury headed or arranged for a terrific team of construction and design professionals and subcontractors and guided us through every step of the many complex decisions and expected expenses necessary for this project. All the major work was carefully planned and executed and the work was excellent and, for the most part, very timely. While some of the final punch-list items took awhile to complete, there was never any doubt that Mike and Nathalie would ensure that they were done and we were happy and excited about our finished products. We are very happy that we chose Roloff Construction for our project and extremely happy with our final product. Some specific areas in which Roloff Construction excelled were: the excellent combination of construction know-how and interior design that insured a good final outcome; great people and skilled subs to work with that made it enjoyable to do business with and we actually miss them when the work is over; good listening skills and knowing when to follow and when to lead the client; attention to detail, pride in their work and a desire to have you be excited and happy with the final product.

After interviewing a number of contractors, we decided to hire Roloff Construction to add a bathroom in our basement. A friend of ours had recommended them and after we met with them, we knew that they were the right kind of contractor for us. There is a tremendous difference in how contractors approach a job; some walk in and say “yeah, I can do it, it will be about this much…”. Nathalie on the other hand, showed up with a tape measure and took careful measurements. It was clear that she wasn’t there just to do the minimum amount of work to see if she could get the job, but instead to provide a realistic and thorough bid for the work. Planning the project was very straight-forward and easy for us to understand. Nathalie is a designer with plenty of strength in hard construction and Michael is strong on the technical stuff with respect for the wisdom of a good design. We weren’t building a bridge or anything else technical in nature, but nonetheless those design and technical skills made a big difference in how our project turned out. As predicted, we had a few snags with the City’s somewhat Byzantine permitting process, but Nathalie and Michael not only led us past the challenges, but also calmed us down when it seemed our project was off-track. Because Roloff Construction participates in the Field Issuance Remodel (FIR) Program, construction started promptly and finished precisely on schedule. Not all contractors avail themselves of this valuable service and you’d be well served by only picking a contractor that does. It makes a tremendous difference that the contractor works directly with the Building Inspectors. This results in a trust-based relationship that you’ll be glad exists when your project hits that inevitable difficulty. Worthy of emphasis is how our project was scheduled. Each major milestone and subcontractor was precisely scheduled and the work was done on that exact day. This is partially due to the FIR program’s built-in predictability, but also because of Roloff’s meticulous scheduling and high quality subcontrators. Our bathroom is beautiful and turned out better than we could have expected. Our project came in on budget, on schedule and with no surprises. We hired Roloff Construction to remodel our kitchen. Mike and Nathalie were very involved in the design phase which required moving a wall as well as adding windows and doors. When unforeseen problems arose, solutions were presented, evaluated and implemented in a very professional manner. The project morphed from just the kitchen to include the family room, living room and powder room. Nathalie was always available to help whether it was visiting vendors or tagging idea pictures and most importantly taking our verbal ideas and making them a reality. The employees of Roloff Construction as well as all of the sub contractors were respectful of our time as well as our space and made the inconvenience of not having a functional kitchen as bearable as possible. The project finished on schedule and on budget. We plan to use Roloff Construction to remodel our master bedroom and bathroom next year.

We hired Roloff Construction to remodel our kitchen and bathrooms. The project involved an addition (main floor and basement), with major structural modifications to the house as well as complete updating of the kitchen and 3.5 bathrooms from studs to finishes. The result is a "beyond our wildest imagination" dream kitchen, an enlarged dining room and the addition of a mud room on the main floor, as well as a larger and more functional home office/bedroom suite, a new laundry room and wet bar/kitchenette in the basement. We have all new gorgeous bathrooms and a new fireplace mantel with tile face in the family room. The project took about a year to complete and we lived and worked in the home during the entire process. Mike and Nathalie and their entire team of employees and sub-contractors have been excellent to work with from day 1. They all did a fabulous job. The high quality workmanship, attention to detail and consideration they showed us throughout the work made living through the construction as pleasant as we could have imagined. As with any home remodel, there are always unanticipated surprises. Mike always came to us with the issue and several options to remedy the situation. In each case, the solution improved upon the original plan. Nathalie guided us through selection of the finishes with designs, suggestions and recommendations and made sure everything was installed to her high standards. They both took the time to get to know us and our preferences and worked with us to give us results that are structurally sound, truly functional and aesthetically awesome! We couldn’t have done this without them.

They were very helpful as we got quotes for a master bathroom renovation. A phone call was prompt after my initial email and a meeting to see our space was set within a week. Nathalie was very responsive and informative where our proposed budget was lacking and providing budget options. If we end up picking Roloff, I'll update my review.

Roloff managed our project, which included some curveballs thrown by our old house, with professionalism and unfailing courtesy. They're an adept cross-functional team of problem-solvers who did a beautiful job on our bathroom remodel.

We hired Roloff Construction to remodel our 1990's kitchen in our 1939 colonial in 2010. Expecting this to be our last house, and loving everything about it but the kitchen, we were looking for a contractor who would listen to our ideas, help us find finish resources and prod us gently to make decisions timely to keep the project on track. We found all this and more with Roloff Construction. Mike and Nathalie spent time listening to us and helped us turn our concepts about how we wanted the kitchen to feel into plans on how we wanted it to look. Nathalie's design skills let us walk the line between our slightly Asian style preference and a finished product that is still consistent with the rest of the house. Mike's knowledge of construction helped us avoid a couple of bad decisions, and gave us confidence that our ultimate plan (moving the cooking area, installing a gas stove, bringing more light in through replaced windows) could become a reality on schedule and at a reasonable budget. Nathalie didn't hesitate to give us feedback when a finish we'd selected wasn't quite right, but listened to our wishes and ultimately let us be the deciders. We avoided a bad flooring decision and chose significantly better tile because of her thoughtful feedback and willingness to assist us in the search. We are both so happy with our kitchen. It exceeds our expectations and will do so for years to come. Everyone who comes in the house can't get over how beautiful it looks. Our kitchen experience was so good, and the back window of the house lets in so much more light, we also asked Mike to construct a glass roofed pergola to cover our back patio. This was a much bigger engineering process than we thought, but Mike was confident and found the right experts to make sure it was safe and secure. The result - we have added a couple of useable months onto our outdoor living and have a patio that is much more convenient than in the past. Another Roloff success story!

Mike and Nathalie were great to work with on my home remodel including the Kitchen, 2 baths, Master Bath, master bedroom (won an award) and closet, custom outdoor stair case, deck, sunroom, garage extension, outdoor retaining wall, and wine cellar. Mike understands how to blend in new construction into the existing structure and both Nathalie and Mike have great ideas on the details. I have hired them on all of me subsequent work and referred them to a number of my friends who are now their customers as well.

As a homeowner who has had a number of remodel jobs,plus the construction of our "dream house" done,the most impressive thing Roloff Construction provided was a detailed timeline of when to expect work to be done. I have never,ever, been offered such a detailed plan. Then they executed it,always informing us in advance of any change. Amazing! That's besides insisting on total daily cleanup and top notch contractors that left us feeling highly satisfied with the experience.

Our job was a complete remodel of our kitchen which included moving a wall and completely gutting the flooring in the kitchen, entry, laundry and second bathroom. We had a heated tile floor, custom designed cabinetry, recessed ceiling lights, appliances, windows and countertops installed. Nathalie Pillsbury listened to our "wants", made recommendations, met us for many product decisions, addressed our concerns and inevitable changes and was genuinely involved in our project. Mike Roloff hired excellent subcontractors, so that the finished product is outstanding. (Of particular note was the amazing "granite guy", Michael Ambrose, of De La Tierra Stoneworks). This company obtained the necessary permits and held to an agreed upon written timeline. All in all, a very satisfying, albeit disruptive as any remodeling/construction project is, experience. Kudos!
