With a touch of color and a hint of the unexpected, interior designer Robbie Harbert Maynard specializes in a complete spectrum of design styles, including timeless classic, transitional and contemporary décor. Through her many years of experience and world travels, Robbie has grown to appreciate the aesthetics and beauty of all design styles. Her goal is to work closely with each of her clients to help uncover their own individual styles and to create their ideal home, reflective of their values and personality. An award-winning interior designer, Robbie Harbert Maynard is principal of Robbie Interiors. She has over 25 years of experience and has earned a reputation as one of Southern California’s top interior designers. Specializing in both residential and commercial interiors, she has designed projects ranging from 10,000 square-foot Rancho Santa Fe estates to 1,200 square foot beach front condos. Known for her keen attention to every detail and high standard of excellence, Robbie’s work has been featured nationally on HGTV’s Designer Challenge and published in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Additionally, she has received the prestigious “Home of the Year” Award for Interior Design from San Diego Magazine and has appeared on the cover of San Diego Home Garden/Lifestyles. A professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (“ASID”) for 20 years, she has served on the Board of Directors of ASID’s San Diego Chapter as Vice President and Publicity Chairman. ASID membership is a hallmark of excellence in the design industry, with members meeting the highest standards in the design industry through education and extensive testing. She is also NCIDQ and CCIDC certified, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design from San Diego State University.

Robbie was a pleasure to work with. Personality alone made her a good choice for us. In addition, she helped us decide where to start in our decorating/design process. We started by choosing the hardwood floor that would go best with our varied wood furniture. Then, she helped us not make mistakes as we chose flooring, fixtures, and hardware for each room (making sure that the whole condominium had flow, the right blend of tones, styles, etc. We loved her idea of making a bar space out of an otherwise wasted corner of our living room/kitchen and appreciated, too, her advice on lighting (including what lights we DIDN'T need to change. I thought Robbie was fair in her prices, and I was glad we hired her. It was sometimes confusing knowing who was responsible for what (drawings, etc.) among all the people involved: Robbie, our contractor, and the in-house kitchen and bathroom designers where we bought materials. Steady, ongoing communication is the key.

My wife and I recently completed a renovation project on the exterior and interior of our home. We choose Robbie Interiors in concert with Oregon Trial Remodeling (OTR) largely due to a recommendation from friends who just completed a similarly large project. The scope of the renovation was quite large and included all bathrooms with an upgraded electrical, custom tile, new cabinetry, plumbing and lighting fixtures… enlarging a bedroom by removing faux walls… family room upgrades with custom cabinetry for the entertainment center and tile work on the fireplace … a complete renovation of the laundry room… upgrades to the kitchen with new granite, plumbing fixtures and significant improvements to the lighting scheme… new flooring, crown molding and base-boards throughout the house and painting the entire interior and exterior of our home. Robbie and her team were integral in making many of the design decisions that were later executed by OTR. We cannot thank Robbie and her team enough for the wonderful designs, attention to detail and integrity with which they operated. We recommend Robbie Interiors without hesitation.

Robbie is very easy to work with and has a great eye for choosing the best paint colors! She was very patient and helped us choose our hardwood floors, baseboards, and paint.

Robbie has designed my recent total kitchen remodeling including a major footprint change which was the most scary part for me, her expertise in putting this together was crucial, and the results are way above expectations. Her keen sense of colors, styles and space all inter working together to create this successful project. Not only she is knowledgeable, but also a pleasure to work with. Words can't express fully the excitements and pleasures of the experience in working with her!

I have worked with a lot of designers in San Diego and Robbie is one of the best. She truly connects with her clients, is very professional, and very organized. Robbie was very instrumental helping me with flooring, rugs and color. You see, I wear Garanimals to work and I couldn't dress myself if I had to. We started with a wood floor made by Du Chateau. My eye was leaning toward a color that Robbie talked me out of and I'm happy she did. I saw a home a few weeks after my job with the flooring I was leaning towards and I wasn't impressed. The rugs we picked came out great along with some new leather couches. My home is still a work in progress, however, I wouldn't be this far along without her. Once again thanks so much for your help. My husband and I were updating our pool and backyard in addition to adding a new side patio. Robbie Maynard helped us pull everything together so our home, back yard and new patio have a cohesive flow. She made our home beautiful. Robbie stays on top of design trends and knows what's available to her customers. She made product and design suggestions that we would never have thought of or even knew were available. Robbie is a good listener and while offering her ideas, she was respectful of our budget. Our home now has the designer's touch! I highly recommend using an interior designer and we're delighted to have hired Robbie Maynard!

Robbie helped me modernize a '90s bare minimum powder room into a modern, classy, stunning room that brought out my creative side! The shower and floors were re-tiled with accent tiles banding the shower. The frameless shower door allows a view of the spectacular-looking shower. The bronze vessel sits atop a marble topped ebony cabinet in front of a framed mirror and wide vanity lighting. All the curvy lined shiny chrome fixtures tie in with the modern look of the accents. Finally the walls are wallpapered to match the elegant modern look.

Robbie Maynard is a great designer with which to work. She is creative, inventive, patient and very professional. She was very available to us and never made us feel that we were too picky--which, admittedly, we are very choosey! She listens well and is always ready to give us solutions to any problem that we encounter--great qualities to have and we feel very fortunate to have her working on our project. We will be using her again b/c we have many areas in our house to re-do.

Mantel Depot

I have known Robbie Maynard by seeing in her work on HGTV's Designer Challenge and by reading her numerous publications and awards in Better Homes and Gardens and San Diego Home/Garden magazines. I often watch HGTV and read these magazines to look for new ideas and trend to design new models for my company, Mantel Depot. I finally had a chance to work with Robbie for a project in Cardiff to supply and install a stone mantel for her client. This gave me the opportunity to see her work in person. Her work has been practically and beautifully designed and well planned. It was a pleasure to work with her as a colleague! I will definitely hire Robbie if I need interior design service for my home.
