Roland's Joinery Ltd.

Working with Roland was an amazing experience. He does beautiful work, knows his products and is a great problem solver. He was able to help us incorporate some reclaimed materials from our old home and he truly appreciated the sentimental value of the pieces. He was reasonably priced, especially considering the high level of care and attention he puts into his projects. I would highly recommend using Roland for building or renovations.

I have nothing but great things to say about Roland and his team. He comes in with beautiful display books of various styles of work. He brings cabinet door samples to show types of stain, paint, distress or design features. His quotes and design prints are thorough, practical and prompt and he stays right on budget. The quality and aesthetics of his work is superior, and our kitchen is a show-stopper. We liked our kitchen so much, that we brought him in to do our pantry and office, which wasn't originally planned or in our budget. He is friendly and very pleasant to work with. Can't say enough good things about Roland!

1. On time and on budget. Wow! That's not what people tell you to expect when you renovate. They always say "Plan on it taking twice as long and costing twice as much." Not so with Roland. And not over-priced. Excellent value for money. 2. As others have said in their reviews here, his design sense is excellent. He takes your basic ideas and makes them work in a beautiful, efficient manner. 3. Craftsmanship is truly second to none. Solid, straight, true. Our kitchen drawers have dovetailed joints! Our kitchen is a "lifetime" investment that is going to outlast us. 4. Personable and professional. Roland manages a perfect balance between friendly and focussed. A pleasure to work with. If you want a cheap kitchen that looks like it came from Home Depot with a 15 year lifespan ... don't call Roland. :-)

Roland helped us design our kitchen as we were unsure of what would work in our space. His professionalism and workmanship were amazing. He also met our deadline with no delays. We absolutely love our kitchen and its functionality.

This was the second time we’ve hired Roland. The first project was during the build of our new house; projects at that time included cabinetry in the kitchen, laundry room and entryway, multiple bathroom vanities, armoire and matching mirror, banister and railings for stairs and walk-in closet shelving unit. This recent project included an entertainment/TV unit and bar cabinetry and island in the basement family room. Roland was great to work during the entire process. He was open and accommodating to my ideas during the planning/design process and provided invaluable guidance to bring plans to completion. He is definitely a master craftsman and, consequently, we continue to get compliments on his work in our home. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again.

My first contact with Roland’s Joinery, LTD was during the early stages of construction at River House. www.riverhousecanada.com We were looking for a competent cabinet maker and Roland came highly recommended by one of the local contractors. Our first contact with Roland’s Joinery involved our kitchen project. We had worked on the plans for well over two years and had the plans reviewed by two kitchen designers, our log builder and appliance supplier. My wife, Judith, and I had poured over the plans for many, many hours. When Roland reviewed the plans he immediately made an interesting comment: “don’t you want a microwave”? It was amazing that everyone else had missed the obvious. That cinched the deal; we knew we found our cabinet builder. Roland finished that job ahead of schedule and on budget. Not only did he build a beautiful kitchen he went on to do all the cabinetry in the rest of the house including designing and building Ed’s Place our lower level Game Room which includes a movie theater, office and areas for both a pool table and shuffle board. We found Roland’s Joinery very easy to work with and they provided services way beyond cabinetry. Our project was running behind schedule and Roland jumped in and installed our unique random length, random width pine flooring and even made our beautiful entry door. These projects were completed over ten years ago and we have had zero issues and their work looks as goods as it did when new. The level of craftsmanship is unsurpassable. Roland and staff were extremely hard working, kind natured and respectful of our home. The recommended design of our projects was very well thought out and ingenious, with the use of space, functionality and style.
