Ray's Construction of Ocala

Raphael and Andrea Samuel are the owners and operators of Ray’s Construction of Ocala, Inc. Raphael “Ray” graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1981 and completed two years of Junior college then began working with I&P Construction for 6 years. Andrea graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1983 and completed 5 years of college, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management and Economics in 1988. This dynamic duo began their partnership with marriage on January 1st, 1989. Andrea obtained a Florida Teachers Certificate in 1990, and began teaching at a local public school. Together Ray and Andrea formed Ray’s Construction & Roofing, a sole proprietorship in 1992. The business concentrated on remodeling and additions and was qualified under the license of Sampson Samuel, Ray’s Uncle. Ray excelled in the trade. Many jobs came from the City of Ocala Revitalization Programs and word of mouth advertising. With quality work the business earned a new name. With great reviews the couple expanded and incorporated Ray’s Construction of Ocala, Inc., in 1994. In 1995, Andrea took a leave from teaching and the company built its first home in 1996. Andrea H. Samuel became the qualifier of Ray’s Construction with a Florida Building Contractor’s License. To date, Ray’s Construction is credited with 100+ homes throughout Ocala and surrounding cities and the couple is proud of each and every one. During the peak of the construction years, the sales excessed $1 million. Although the opportunity to expand often presents itself, the couple desires to keep the projects and work load at a safe and comfortable level.
