I discovered Milano Granite & Marble when I was looking to purchase countertops and backsplash for my newly renovated kitchen. They were the company that Costco recommends in my area, so I knew that they had already been properly vetted. From my very first conversation with Milano they were generous with their time, answered all my questions, sent me images of quartz designs that I may like, etc. And they eventually sent me a quote without my even having to go to their showroom. I called back often changing my mind on the quartz style and they were always very patient and helpful. We eventually went to their showroom and chose a stunning new quartz product called GeoLuxe. In order to get an idea of pricing, I called a few other distributers/fabricators who sell this same item and they all came in at more than double the price of Milano. I kid you not. When Rocco came to my apt to measure, he offered smart and practical suggestions as to how to get around problem areas near my window, as well as the different thicknesses of the kitchen cabinets and panels. He was a real pro. Milano cut the stone, delivered it to us and did a brilliant job on the installation... all within 2 weeks of our giving the deposit. It was all so seamless. I wish every vendor I dealt with for my apt renovation were as competent, professional and meticulous as Milano.

We hired Milano as general contractors for a small bathroom, and adjacent very small bedroom. Also stone work in 3 locations. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a contractor. The salesperson who came (John) was very nice, amenable, helpful, and the price quoted was much better than others, so I signed on. Big mistake. Once the owner who manages the crews took over, it was a disaster. The work was being done in a Manhattan apartment. Each day, the workers would show up after 11 am, saying that they could not find parking (duh, it's Manhattan- gotta plan for that), and then rush around like their hair was on fire trying to get a days work done before 4 pm when the building required them to leave (as they knew before they started the job). The work was slow and shoddy. I had specified a very short time frame, which was never met. So many issues!! They were to remove a washer/dryer and paint behind it before reinstalling. I was present when it was removed, and kept reminding them (where was the contractor/supervisor????). They reinstalled without painting. The overall paint job was inexcusable. Sloppy, walls not sanded after spackling, inside of closet not painted, doors that don't shut all the way. Communication between contractor and workers was lousy- one of the pieces they made was a desk top. I had discussed it at length with the owner. When the worker came to install, he had no knowledge of the plan to create a location for a power strip. I happened to be present when it was being installed (by chance) and tried to explain the plan. Not my job. The only good thing I can say is that the stone work they did (kitchen table/peninsula, small countertop in bathroom, and desk) was good, and done is a timely manner. All else was a disaster. They removed charges for the lousy paint job, and other issues, but it doesn't really make up for the tremendous aggravation and the fact that I now have to find someone to finish the inadequate job they did. They did offer to send a different painter, but frankly I don't want to deal with them anymore.

Dear Barbara,

The scope of work that was originally contracted to be done were counter tops, hardwood flooring, carpentry work and plumbing. We made it very clear from the beginning that we do not paint and paint work was also never included in the contract. On a multitude of different occasions, you insisted that we add painting to the contractual agreement and so to ensure that you would be happy, we hired a professional painting company. As far as the paint job behind the washer/dryer, it was painted, but due to the fact that the paint color was so similar to the original wall color, it was difficult for you to see. Your walls are also over 100 years old which affected the overall look of the paint job as well.

In reference to your comment about the work being "shoddy", your walls needed a great deal of repairing and this is not something that we were contracted to take care of. Unfortunately, you were not happy with the painting company's services and would not allow them to come back to touch up and complete the minor discrepancies that you had. When planning out our work schedule with you, there were many dates and times that you were opposed to due to personal obligations that you had. We did our absolute best to work around your hectic schedule, and with you being out of town quite frequently, it was difficult to complete the work in a timely manner.

In reference to the desk top, our installer was aware of what needed to be done. You assumed that he didn't and took it upon yourself to explain in detail. There is constant communication between the owners and workers of the company, and we are always on the same page when it comes to the projects that we are working on. We credited you $5,000 which was almost three times the amount of the paint work and it was agreed upon that this was amicably resolved. It is unfortunate that you are still not happy and that you felt the need to slander our company name on a social platform. We have successfully been in business for over fifteen years and we pride ourselves on all of our positive reviews and happy clients.

My wife and I wanted to remodel the guest bedroom into a shared walk-in closet. Joe, one of the partners had used his 2020 design program to create an island with cushion seats to sit, fabuwood cabinets for the island and a Cambria countertop to compliment the style of the room. Joe had a good vision of how everything would look and feel. A lot of great suggestions. The team arrived a little late, but was in communication because of traffic. They made it up by doing a great job and cleaned up afterwards. We even received a free bottle of counter top cleaner. Getting dressed feels like I’m at a fashion show.

The interior decorator working with me from Cavanagh Properties, Lovleen Cavanagh pointed me to Milano Granite & Marble. I don't usually do reviews but felt the service and job done was fantastic. I was getting a new quartz kitchen counter installed. The whole process from the beginning with Rocco and Victoria all the way through to the installation was fantastic. The workers doing the counter-top installation were on-time, considerate and did an excellent job. When I mentioned a minor finish item to Rocco, he asked for details, agree with my point and scheduled his guys to come back out to resolve. That fair and no nonsense attention to detail speaks to a quality service and why I am doing this review.

Installation was very poor installed counter top at different levels , had to come back a second time to level out, then left large gaps under counter tops with exposed wood shims visible. Installer was rude to my wife, when she tried to tell him they were not level he told her to leave him alone he was the professional, after talking to the boss days later I was given excuses why there are spaces under counter tops. Needless to say I have to fix them now they will not be coming back. Do yourself a favor call someone else

Dear Mr. Nelson,
We are sorry that you are unsatisfied with the end results. Please take into consideration that your brick work for the outdoor BBQ was not level. My installer needed to shim the counters in order to level them, hence leaving a gap between the brick and the stone counter. After careful review, I found that my technician was specifically instructed by your wife to not fill in the gap under the countertop because you would be handling that yourself. Upon completing the installation your wife paid the balance & tipped my installers thanking them for a job well done & for not filling in the mortar joint as it was a specific color. Upon speaking with Rocco, our owner, he expressed that he would be willing to fill in the gap for you, however you declined his offer. We do not wish to leave any customer unhappy and are still willing to rectify any issue you may have. Please contact us so we can begin to rectify.
