As another reviewer said, we paid and got a preliminary plan, but then we were ghosted. Did my best to decipher the plan, but not all plants were labeled in the plant key. Had to become an instant landscape architect myself to try and finish the project.

Matthew is a consummate landscape architect. He and his crew "gutted" my wrap-around piece of land and transformed it into a tropical garden for strolling, meditating, and dining outdoors. Since he is also a horticulturist, he skillfully preserved my valuable plants and trees while adding lush greenery for both shaded and sunny areas. Beautiful sculptured stepping stones, larger coral rock, and pavers created an outdoor entertainment space as well Equally impressive is Matthew's work ethic. He remained on the job and worked with his crew each day for two weeks straight. His crew were neat and highly skilled. He also follows up with regular e-mails to make sure all is well with the new plants. I highly recommend Matthew Giampietro for any unique outdoor gardens or fountains.

The highest praise I can give Matt is that he truly loves what he does! And it shows in the thoughtful, intentional design with high quality materials and trees/vegetation. He listened carefully to my vision for my house and then matched me with equal enthusiasm. He designed a garden that is like a separate reality right in my home. Working with Matt has been an amazing experience and exceeded all of our expectations. We are first time single family home owners so garden design and install was very new to us. Matt has great ideas and is very talented. He came up with some great Lanscaping ideas and really cool accents to his work. After installing a very attractive coral retaining wall between my pool and my sea wall he made two benches on my dock with the remaining coral. The whole landscape and hardscape process was very well executed and was the best thing we could have done to accent pool renovations. I would highly recommend Matt for any landscape and hardscape needs you might have if you want your property to stand out from others. His crew is very serious about making your project better than you might have expected and when Matt is done you want to show off the yard. Good work is not cheap but Matt is very fair with his pricing for a first class job on your property. Matt handled all aspects of the work including irrigation and accent lighting. Matt did a fantastic job in designing a beautiful waterfall and centerpiece for our driveway which has been admired by all of our visitors. He was attentive to every detail and listened to my preferences and made modifications without any difficulties. He always arrived as promised and on time and the project timeline was followed exactly with no surprises or excuses as I've experienced with other companies. I am hoping I'll be able to work with Matt on my other planned outdoor projects and would recommend him highly.

Matt and his team are the best. We hired Matt to make us a custom rock waterall with mulitple cascades, and an above ground sunshelf with a small waterfall in the back, and a ledge waterfall drop in the front. The rocks and craftsmanship that he uses are world-class level. The rocks came from North Carolina, and are amazing. The details in how each rock is fitted on top of the other is both artistic and also functional for our project. They completed the entire project in only 18 days, and had 5-6 rock craftsmen there at all times, until it was completed. Also, Matt came back at least a few times to follow up and make sure everything was perfect. Because of the attention to detail, craftsmanship, creativity, and follow-up, I would highly recommend Matt and his crew for any waterfall, rock/ deck, or landscaping project.

I hired Matt to build a pond and fountain wall for my home; the mosaic on the wall was completed by another artist. He responded very quickly to all my questions and concerns, and was present often to check on the work of his crew. He seemed very knowledgeable about building techniques, was able to recommend professionals for related jobs such as deck repair, and suggested improvements that I hadn't even considered. He coordinated well with the mosaic artist, and was personable and easy to work with. The job was finished on time and on budget, a first in my experience with contractors! A true professional whom I can't recommend highly enough!

Our courtyard was transformed into a beautiful space by Matthew and his team. We hired Matthew after looking at several options to install a 6' basalt water fountain and to create a zen like garden. We liked his landscape architectural background, experience with water fountains, and his ability to take our ideas and make them come alive. He and his team were very punctual each day. They studied every detail of the project and Matthew communicated with us to ensure we were fine with everything. What surprised us was that he was always on the job. We recently moved from CA and were concerned about the horror stories with FL contractors. First and foremost, the front of our house now looks great! Matt’s ideas for the landscape design really transformed the space. Obvious that he is passionate about his work. The job included removal and some relocation of old plants/hedges/palms and total rework with new vegetation and rock elements in the front, removal of hedge and create space for flower/veggie garden in back, and leveling and gravel on the utility side of the house. Waterfalls Fountains and Gardens is one of the most professional service companies I have experienced in South Florida. The work at our home was highly customized and meticulously performed. The finished product reflected the expertise and personal pride of Matt and his crew. The team showed up on time every day and never left for the day until the site was clean and orderly. Throughout the project (a rock fountain for the pool and a specialized seat wall) we were consulted on potential options and recommended field adjustments. Given the premium craftsmanship, I believe we received good value for our money and we never encountered unanticipated overages or change orders. We have worked with Mr. Matthew Giampietro for the past 2 years. Our extensive project consisted of installing flagstone around the pool, pool patios, pillars, and walkways. Matt Giampietro far exceeded my expectations. My landscape architect Todd Maclean found Matt and I could not be more pleased. Great attitude, great work ethic, and tremendous ability. I started with an image on Houzz, saw a retaining wall from a quarry in Wisconsin, I ended up shipping 15 truckloads of granite and dolomite limestone to South Florida. Matt has built the same retaining walls I saw on Houzz, but with more intricate work, splitting the limestone very thin in places, adding a dramatic look. He went on to create veneer out of the stone, covering outside walls, a fireplace and columns. Then we used the limestone bolders to create a 13,000 gallon koi pond with waterfalls and a stream. The guy is so creative! If you are considering any stonework, any at all, hire Matt, I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Waterfalls, Fountains & Gardens designed and installed a rock waterfall around my existing pool. I never would have imagined there to be so many technical and artistic details, but Matt and his team took the time to carefully sculpt and place each and every boulder. The result is an artistic creation that looks like it has always been a part of our pool and garden. The crew was professional and courteous and they kept the areas around the project clean. We can honestly say that this was the best design/contractor situation we have ever experienced. From the very beginning Matt worked with us to get the scope and design of the project going. We were able to work our vision along with his skills and end up with a plan we all loved. He went so far as to bring in pictures of his past completed projects, and samples of the materials we could use. He also listened to our ideas and looked at photos we had taken illustrating ideas we wished to include. We sat down with him and settled on that final plan. Throughout the project, he found the time to talk to us frequently, considering and combining our ideas with his for any modifications we wished to make. As he worked, we realized what a perfectionist he is. Every water effect was done slowly and in a manner which gave all of us the perfect end product. He really is an artist. He kept things within our cost limits and supplied us with a number of "extras" which further enhanced our design. He also showed us ways we could get many of the same effects in a less expensive manner. He was able to bring in people to take care of both the water and electrical needs at a far price, and supervised their work as well. He was hands on throughout the entire project. After supplying the fountain construction and the rock installation, he went on to design foliage which added depth and contrast to a beautiful rock and fountain creation, and finally designed a fabulous lighting scheme which shows off all his work in a very dramatic and really "awesome" way. He showed up on time every day and completed the project in a timely manner. Everyone who has seen the finished installation absolutely loves the total effect of this landscaping project--night and day. We would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a truly unique and breathtaking landscaping experience.

After meeting with several pool contractors in the span of 6 years, no one came even close to the creativity or design work that we envisioned.
