Not sure what working with a designer is like or perhaps you're intimidated and worried you will lose control of what the outcome will be? I work together with my clients to determine your wants, needs and preferences to ensure the finished project suits you and your lifestyle. In the end, the space should feel like it is YOUR home and it should welcome you. Below is a brief list of services offered to clients in the Calgary area: New Home construction and renovation designs - Space planning and design, selections for everything from flooring to light fixtures. Colour Consultation - Selection of paint colours for walls, trim, cabinetry etc. Furniture and Decor - I work with trade only suppliers as well as retailers to specify furniture pieces and finishing accessories, provide layouts and fabric selections Kitchen and Bath Design - From full 3-d renderings and working drawings to cabinetry finish selections. Window Coverings - As a Certified Hunter Douglas Dealer, I offer quality window coverings to my clients. In addition to window blinds, I also provide custom drapery treatments and drapery hardware for the added finishing touch. 10.000 CAD - 10.000.000 CAD

While each job is unique, what we start with is a 2 hour in-home initial consultation. During the consultation we discuss your project. We can look at paint colours, furniture layout, window coverings, renovation ideas, sketch out a rough plan or whatever it is you need to discuss. The fee for the initial consult is $300.00 + GST. At the end, I will leave you with a list of what was discussed and if further assistance is needed, we discuss next steps at that time.

We worked with Jody on the renovation of our kitchen, living room and entry way. She helped us with everything from the backsplash to the choice of doors. She even suggested a change to the refrigerator placement that greatly improved the amount of work space we had making the kitchen function so much more efficiently. The 3D software really helped us visualize the final outcome. We are very happy with the result.

Jody is great to work with. Always positive and upbeat. As a general contractor, I need someone that I can communicate with and can provide the answers we need in a timely fashion. Jody does these things with a smile.

We had the pleasure of working with Jody, while planning the new home that we moved into in Aug 2018. Our project involved a custom built home in inner city Calgary. Jody helped us with the selection of all of our finishings and we are so pleased with the results. Along with being a real expert, we found her to be very organized, punctual and a lot of fun to work with. After our home was built, we brought her back for a few hours to help us with our furniture selection and layout. We highly recommend her!

My husband and I worked with Jody on our bathroom renovation. We had a tiny space that couldn't be made larger and a small budget. Jodi worked miracles in designing our space and making the room more efficient, and connected us with an incredible general contractor who brought the design vision to life. Jody was a huge help during our kitchen renovation! Her detailed sketches helped us visualize how our new space would function, and she helped us solve a last minute appliance fitting issue that could have dramatically altered our plans. We gained space, maximized our storage, and created a modern, beautiful kitchen with her help and guidance. I'd absolutely work with Marlo Creative again.

We worked directly with Jody to design our new kitchen, and multiple areas that included cabinetry (built in closets, mud room, bar area etc). We were incredibly pleased with the outcome of these rooms so we decided to take it a step further and have her help us with the interior design aspect. From furnishings, to light fixtures, custom mirrors and finishing touches for our new home build, Jody provided us with valuable options, guidence, and suggestions. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we remain pleased with her beautiful selections in our home nearly 5 years later!

My experience with Jody/Marlo Creative was excellent. I loved the work, photos, designs I saw online and contacted Jody for help with my place. She was very responsive and willing to customize her service for my specific home and budget. Some items pushed me out of my comfort zone but I bought in and when finished it turned out fantastic. I can't enough great thing about Jody at Marlo Creative. I had a tight budget and the end result was more than I ever imagined possible. From new cabinets, moving around my existing furniture to the finishing touches, my home went from just okay to simply beautiful. Jody has an extensive network as well as an exceptional ability to find options at all price points. (Think a "high" / "low" version in a magazine). Jody is talented, knowledgeable and really listens to your needs. We just knew how we wanted our basement to function. Jody came up with a very beautiful design that exceeded our expectations. We ran in to a couple of issues with HVAC and the wine fridge, the issues were solved creatively. She made sure everything worked out perfectly. We love our new living space, Enjoy it every day!

Jody is a wonderful designer and person! We worked on a remodel project of three bathrooms, as well as a mock-up for a basement remodel. In each situation, Jody listened to our needs, made suggestions and provided great ideas. Her ideas met our design preferences and our budgetary limits. Jody is always professional, timely and prepared. I highly recommend her.
