M.A. Palumbo Studio is a full-service design firm. Owner Marina Palumbo has a Masters in Architecture from Tulane University and uses that experience to specialize in design+build. Each project is custom and unique with refined materials and exclusive design, creating one-of-a-kind built environments. We curate a balancing act between space planning, renovation, and one-on-one collaboration with custom fabricators to create unity and harmony between design and the objects within a space. Our design team provides not only the design drawings and build-out, but also the coordination and supervision of construction and installation of all our projects - full house renovations, multi-unit projects, kitchens, bathrooms, home offices, wardrobes, Murphy beds, mudrooms, closets, laundry rooms, etc. We also offer custom cabinets and casework, and can fit your visions into your space in especially creative ways. We offer a service and product that is timeless and continually competitive in our ever-changing market - high-end renovations with unique designs at a moderate price point. Our studio and showroom is located on Lower Magazine St in The Julian.

Marie worked with us during the build out of our condominium. She was brought into the project during the initial stage and stayed with us until the very end. Marie has a natural ability to maximize space while being mindful of cost. Her suggestions and input made a big difference in the functionality of the unit. Marie has both the gift of seeing the big picture and the ability of keeping all of the different elements in a space related. She picked up on issues ahead of time and saved us money. Her solutions to issues were both sophisticated and creative. I can't stress enough how her creative problem solving made a difference in our place. Her design talents stand out. Marie is easy to work with ... I never doubted that I was in the hands of the best New Orleans talent. I will work with her in the future. I give her the highest review.

Although I loved my house, it did not have enough storage. Marie reviewed the space and was able to design a custom built wardrobe for our bedroom, vanity for our bathroom, a wine/bar area for our kitchen and a media center for our living room that solved the problem. I didn't even now the built in / wall unit wardrobe was an option until she designed it for us! All the pieces are made with the highest quality material and design, and they were designed with our specific needs in mind. She also paid attention to all the details of the each room's renovation to make sure the paint colors, window treatments, hardware, lights, fans and tile/stone all worked together. It has been a pleasure working with her!

I have worked with Marie Palumbo on numerous projects within the past 3 years and every project has been a success. Marie has created a variety of custom closets, work spaces and shelving that is not only functional but timeless. M A Palumbo Studio works with the individual client and solves their design problem. The interiors she creates are always unique to each project, versatile and practical. Marie Palumbo is one of my favorite professionals to work because she not only has the architectural skill set for the project but she guides the client throughout the design process and always delivers excellent work.

Marie is the consummate professional. This is the third project that we have hired her for over the past 10 years. She renovated our penthouse in NOLA, our vacation home in MS and now our bigger project in NOLA again. I won't do a project without her talented services

LaBruyere Stone

Marie brings to her clients true interior design experience with a great vision for use of space. She actually listens to her clients and uses her architectural design skill to work with them to create great new rooms as well as renovations of kitchens, bathrooms, master suites, closets, as well as other rooms. I enjoy working with her because she also can coordinate and supervise the project and is very well organized with respect to project operations. As the owner of a stone fabrication and installation company (countertops), I like the planning meetings throughout the construction/installation process to ensure the effective and efficient flow of the various working entities.
