Historically Modern Interiors really helped update my newly purchased home. The designer, Lesley Tatum has fresh innovative designs that will also stand the test of time. She really listened to my ideas and requests and yet created a design that was much better than I could have imagined!! I can also trust her to finish the job in a timely manner. Lesley Tatum is a very talented designer who works well within a budget. Her creativity with fabrics and colors is second to none. Does well with mixing new pieces with antiques. Highly recommend her!

Lesley has been a wonderful guide to me as we furnished and decorated our home. She understands my taste and has helped incorporate pieces we already had and wanted to keep. She has bent over backward to help stay within budget and find great deals for us. I have loved everything she has done in our home! From picking out furniture to artwork and window treatments, she has done it all for us! She has captured what I have always wanted in a home and made it a reality.

Lesley is one the best in the business. Her aesthic style shows that she has a keen eye for clean beauty while meeting the wants and needs of the client. Lesley helped me select 2 new sofas for our family room and new fabric for a chair and ottoman. She also selected pillows that tied the new sofas beautifully to our existing furniture. We had not updated our room in many years. It turned out lovelier than I could have imagined. Especially gifted lady at being able to incorporate a new look with family pieces we already had.

Lesley Tatum is great to work with. She listened to my wants, needs and budget and came up with beautiful plans for my living room, guest bath and bedroom. Her choices of paint colors, lighting and furnishings are updated, unique and tasteful, no "packaged" look. She also incorporated pieces I wanted to keep. I am looking forward to her plans for my kitchen and master bath.

Leslie did a complete remodel our 1890's bathroom and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone potentially wanting to use her services. The bathroom is beautiful, functional and in keeping with our home's period. She was mindful about expense and historically minded when helping to choose materials and décor. She was responsive and communicative when we or our contractors needed her and our home was an hour away from her office! I felt she worked as our advocate in dealing with the MANY contractors involved in a redo of a bathroom. Leslie encouraged me to express my décor ideas and truly incorporated them into the project so that when the project was done, I felt as though I had a part in the outcome and feel of our bathroom. The quality of Leslie's work is of the highest caliber and I, without hesitation, recommend her.

Lesley worked with me to completely remodel the living area of my 20 year old home. We gutted the kitchen and removed existing walls. What started as a cramped kitchen and living area is transformed into a dream kitchen and open, useful spacious living area. Lesley designed the layout of the kitchen and she had great ideas of ways to use every nook and cranny and still make a beautiful, well balanced space. She is quick to respond to questions and concerns and kept me from freaking out many times. She listens to my needs and desires and incorporates them into a polished solution. I am a repeat customer with this company, we have worked on several projects together and I have always been pleased. On this project we did a guest bedroom. I love how it turned out, very clean looking, comfortable and inviting.

Provided design services for a new home. Leslye did a great job. She had great ideas and I was very pleased with all aspects. She respected my tastes but would tell me if one of my suggestions just would not work. I was on a pretty tight timeline and she worked diligently to get everything done on time. I have worked with several designers over the years and money seems to be no object for most of them. Leslye is very careful with my money. It was like she was spending her own. We used every penny of my budget but we were able to get a tremendous amount of value for the budget. I highly recommend Leslye.

Leslie Tatum is very easy to work with because she does not insist upon her ideas only -- she listens to what the client wants & is quite adaptable. She understands sticking to a budget. She is also willing to reuse pieces that you already have -- which makes them fresh and new. For us, she understood that I wanted a new direction for the master suite but I wanted to keep some of my family pieces -- and she accomplished that and more. We are going to continue to work with Leslie as we re-do more of our house.
