Welcome to KerrCraft, owned and operated by master craftsman John Kerr. Born and raised in England, John learned the trade in London and received certification from the City & Guilds in carpentry and joinery. In 2000, John moved to the U.S. permanently and started his first construction business, KerrBuild in Bedford, NH. In 2017 John renamed his business KerrCraft to more aptly describe his love of work as a carpenter and craftsman. KerrCraft specializes in custom woodworking, bespoke remodeling, antique restoration and additions. John's skill, design vision, creativity and reliability are renowned, leading to loyal customer following. Projects vary from designing and building custom cabinetry, bars, doors and desks, to major additions and full remodels. If you have an idea of a project you would like to embark on, but are having trouble visualizing the possibilities and details, John is superb at being creative and offering ideas for beautiful solutions. Alongside John is Bob Jones and Harrison Mahan. Bob has been a talented and reliable employee since 2001. Harrison is John's step-son who has worked with John building the new family home and workshop in New Boston, and is now working full-time with John learning the trade. Customers always enjoy the team's cheerful demeanor and strong work ethic.

We hired John Kerr on multiple occasions to work on several upgrades and renovations in our home. There are no projects they weren’t able to tackle: new siding, new roof, custom millwork, custom cabinetry, hardwood flooring, tile work, kitchen renovation, bathroom renovation, salvaged beams, they do it all! John can be trusted to understand and meet your building needs with complete transparency. He and Bob were a pleasure to work with. Their response to any unexpected concern or issues that came up during renovations were always met with “no problem, we can find a solution”. We always shop around before selecting a contractor but found John's cost and service value to be best.

John Kerr's company has done two projects at our home. One was to repair the back of the house that was rotted due to faulty flashing. This needed to be done quickly as water was leaking inside. They came quickly, repaired and replaced what was needed and were reasonably priced. The second was to repair similar damage on the front of the house, then to install a new front door with double sidelights. John was knowledgeable, responsive and easy to work with.

Can’t recommend enough. Wonderful to work. John and Bob do an amazing job. Professional, reliable, and trustworthy. I have hired them for numerous home projects, both large and small, and was always very happy. They redid the master bathroom and the master bedroom with all new built ins, installed hickory stairs and railings, built numerous pieces of furniture, tiled two bathrooms and did numerous other projects. Hire them. You won’t be sorry.

KerrCraft added a 3 season room and deck to our home. Not only is the work of highest quality and craftsmanship but it was a pleasure to have them in our home. John and Bob were both professional and friendly. They worked in a timely manner and cleaned the area daily to make sure they did not affect our home life! I would hire them again for all future projects.
