I hired Jill to redesign my home and she did and outstanding job. She worked on several rooms of my home and completely redesigned the place in a modern classic style. Her work was on budget and on time and it was a pleasure to deal with her.

It was a pleasure to work with Jill Greaves. I sourced artwork for a few of her projects and really appreciated her attention to detail. In her communications she described exactly what was required in such a way that allowed me to focus my search. She was open to creativity and carefully considered the options I presented. Jill Greaves worked for us on two major projects. We built a home and renovated another. Jill created efficient and logical floor plans and custom designed our built-in bookshelves and children's beds. Jill ordered our fixtures and appliances and co-ordinated the install with our contractors directly. She helped select our furniture, flooring and co-ordinated our paint colors and wallpaper. At every point we were impressed with her impeccable style, professionalism and reliability. We have been very pleased with the results and would not hesitate to recommend Jill Greaves to anyone looking for an expert in interior design.

Our experience with Jill has been amazing on multiple levels. Jill has vision, a great sense of taste and extremely efficient. Jill came into our project mid-stream when many interior decisions were already in motion. After one meeting it took Jill just a few days to put together a beautiful vision for our 13 room house that tied everything together and fit our eclectic taste. Her paint palette for our house was perfect, her furniture selection right on target. For instance for our kitchen island Jill chose light pendants that looked bold on the surface but they pulled the entire space together so well that they just blended in. The result is that each room is unique, stunning without being showy, and fitting in an ensemble that is eclectic and agreeable, which is exactly the feeling we wanted for our house! Of note Jill has a very professional team behind her to work on the details.

Jill's knowledge and sense of style was excellent. She is very charming and it was always pleasant to spend time with her shopping for furniture. If I worked only with her, I'm sure it would have gone better. The issues and disappointments came really with the junior staff that are being over-delegated to without sufficient supervision/direction. They burned through the design budget at an alarming rate and went well-over budget without completing even half of the original scope of the project quoted ($9,000 spent for providing a furniture layout and selection of a few key furniture pieces). They delivered layouts that didn't accurately reflect the dimensions provided; they approved purchases without double-checking first that they were correct; despite spending hours identifying pictures in houzz to reflect my design aesthetics they submitted ideas that ignored reference materials provided (even suggesting butterflies on a feature wall!!). Way to expensive to pay for their mistakes and learning curve...insist that you work only with Jill and that she does all the work herself.

I am working with Jill on the redesign of our main floor and basement (100+ year old semi in downtown Toronto), and she has been absolutely invaluable during the planning and now the execution stage of the work. Jill consulted on the architect’s drawings – fine tuning and making improvements that the architect hadn’t thought of, helped to perfect the layout, window and door sizes for optimal furniture placement & sightlines, and totally designing the lighting plan, kitchen layout, and furniture placement plan. She has been really honest, and thought of a million details that I never would have considered but have made a big difference in the overall functionality and look and feel of our home. Jill listened to my husband & my very disparate and unfocused tastes and pulled together a stylesheet that reflects both of our ideas and has been great in suggesting and sourcing both high & low end suppliers & individual pieces – from furniture, to custom fabricated pieces, to fixtures. She has been so accommodating – running over on short notice when there was a “lighting plan emergency”, to meeting us at suppliers all over the city, to understanding where to splurge and where to save. We would highly recommend Jill.

Jill Greaves has exceptional ability to ascertain what your taste is in design and use what you would like to have done on your renovation. This requires a unique ability to listen to her clients and incorporate her vast and deep knowledge of color, design, style and materials to make your vision come to life. Not only is Jill uniquely talented as a designer which is what you hire her for initially, but she is also a skilled project manager and that means no headaches for you the client. She has assembled a network of tradespeople who are excellent in their fields and because they trust each other and are on time and budget, your renovation, under Jill's direction will be done beyond your expectations. Jill revitalized my house by designing the new layout for wall colour, flooring, staircase, bathroom cabinetry and counters. She told me why I liked or didn't like something and gave me the reasons why I should incorporate certain textures, lighting, material, fabric etc to make the design balanced in a way that made it all come together the way I envisioned. Jill mixed low and high-end furniture, fabrics and lighting to cover my budget. I trusted her completely to have the tradespeople come to my house while I was at work since she managed their timing. She was professional and trustworthy and laid out her time and costs every month. It was a joy to work with Jill.

I worked with Jill for approximately 5 months to redecorate and remodel my family home. She was very creative with different ideas and respectful of my budget. I had a lot of my own design ideas and Jill worked with me to help make them work, taking into account all of the elements of the bigger picture. Jill had a great network of handymen, plumbers, tilers etc who were easy to work with. Jill was also available evenings and weekends which was very helpful given that I also have a full time job!

I used Jill for the house I purchased in 2002, and again in 2012 for my next home purchase. In 2002, she designed custom furniture for my living room, dining room and hallway, as well as a custom unit for my office/spare bedroom. She also designed a deck for the backyard in 2004, and in 2005, worked on my kitchen renovation which was on a rather tight budget, and she made it beautiful without breaking the bank. As a result of Jill's work, my house was featured on TV's City Line twice: once for the outdoor deck, and once for the main floor kitchen renovation. My real estate agent credits Jill's work for the quick sell of that home at 105% of list price within one day of listing it. I hired Jill again in the summer of 2012 for my next home purchase, where she designed new custom furniture for me, and pulled together the entire first floor (living room, dining room and kitchen) with some new and some old pieces. And I will not hesitate to use her when I eventually (hopefully soon) turn the kitchen into the white kitchen of my dreams!

Jill was instrumental in helping us make the furniture and millwork selections to complete the look of our our house. We are very pleased with her recommendations and she was very easy to work with.

Jill did an excellent job helping us with all aspects of design during our home renovation - from reviewing drawings to helping us pick finishes and furniture. She really listened to our likes and needs and help us design a home that works for all of us - especially our 2 small children. We would definitley work with Jill Greaves in the future!
