I'm sharing this review to enthusiastically endorse Irby Homes. Ben Irby and his team were fantastic to work with! They replaced our deck, installed a new staircase and completed a renovation of the lower level of our home, as well as a couple of other small projects. We are thrilled with the work. He really understood what we needed. Ben was a great communicator, reasonably priced, flexible and great to work with. We hope to hire him and his team again to do more work in the future!

We were VERY happy with the work Irby Homes did on our bathroom! Before it was simply a mess and was barely a functional bathroom, and looked like it was from 1962. Now it looks like a spa! They had excellent communication, they were efficient, and they dealt with the unexpected with professionalism and expertise. We can honestly recommend them wholeheartedly. Finding a great contractor now is tough - but they are the real deal. Life changing!

Ben and Drew had an incredible attention to detail when preparing the bid for our project. It's hard to find contractors who are great communicators and they were always very responsive to anything we needed. Highly recommend!

Irby Homes was great to work with! They completed our master bath and hallway bath recently. From the moment we met with them to walk through the project, to completion of the project was nothing but excellent. The creativity, professionalism, communications, expertise, cleanliness, quality and efficiency of all who participated in the project made it a seamless, worriless experience. Irby Homes renovated our bathroom. The results look great and the cost was very reasonable. Some of the materials we ordered got delayed, but the builder was flexible and understanding. All the workers were courteous and respectful. They even helped us to replace our HVAC system when it broke down in the middle of the project!

Ben and his team are consummate professionals. From my initial contact with Ben to the completion of the project, Ben was readily available for any questions and communication was excellent. We have used other contractors that were highly rated, but none have compared to the level of skill and finishing details of Ben’s crew. We had a vision of the project, with numerous details, and Ben and his team executed it to perfection.

Irby Homes did an entire refresh of the exterior of our home and we are incredibly pleased and impressed with their work. They added new siding, new trim, and new gutters, completed wood repair on damaged soffits and trim, and repainted the full exterior of brick and siding -- and it looks incredible! We feel like we have an entirely new home. Irby Homes was also a great partner throughout the full process of quotes, construction, and touchups. We felt informed and listened to, and they were happy to work with us to adjust some elements of the original design as my wife and I saw things that we wanted to change. Irby Homes earned our trust and they will be the first company we reach out to for any future work on our home. They have our highest recommendation.

Ben and his team were awesome from start to finish. Everything with the initial consultation, scope of work, and bid was straightforward and transparent. His crew was always on time, respectful, clean, and great with covid precautions. Their craftsmanship was excellent. We really could not be more pleased with the outcome and will surely use the Irby team for future real estate transactions.

Irby Homes did an amazing job on our dream master bath. We were able to get everything we asked for and more. Every worker that came into our home did a superb job. I feel very lucky to have found Irby Homes LLC! My first project with them just completed. My home office (where I spend the vast majority of my time) went from being the worst room in the house to being the very best! Ben and Jen worked together to help me with both the design and layout as well as the decor and colors. Jen even went the extra mile to have a special piece of art framed which Ben hung for me at the close of the project. I anticipate doing more work with Irby Homes with my master bath as the next area to tackle. The men who did the build outs and the construction, with Elias as the lead, were always professional and on time. It was a pleasure to have this team working in my home. I will add some pics a bit later but did not want to delay in providing this heartfelt 5 star review! :)

We had Irby homes finish out our basement. Specifically studding out and finishing one unfinished space to create a gym, building out a fireplace bump out w/ an electric fire, and building a bar. We are thrilled with the results. Ben listened to our requirements carefully, made helpful suggestions and gave us the basement we were dreaming of, all at a competitive price. Ben clearly communicates timelines and expectations. We couldn't be happier and have asked him to start another project for us!

My name is Frank. Irby homes(Ben) remodeled a bathroom for me in the early part of 2019. Ben did a great job. He outlined everything clearly. He gave me a good and fair price. He answered and addressed any questions or concerns I had in quick and timely manor. The workers were courteous and respectful. The bathroom turned out great. Ben made sure that my wife and I were completely happy and satisfied with the project before he signed off on it. We were very pleased the way the bathroom turned out. If I have another home project to do again in the future, Ben would be the first one I would call. I would highly recommend Irby Homes.

Irby homes did a tremendous job in our kitchen. They stayed on schedule and completed each task with precision and care. They replaced our countertops, replaced our sink, replaced our faucet, replaced existing backsplash and installed additional backsplash. Not only did they do a great job, they are also trustworthy and friendly.

Ben and the team he had worked hard and i'm in love with the transformation. They showed up when they said they would, came back to check their work and were open to answering questions and problem solving as the need arose. At the beginning the place looked dated and worn, but with a thorough paint job, some small plumbing tasks and new floors it looks brand new, clean and fresh. It's incredible.

I had an excellent experience with Ben Irby from Irby Homes LLC. Ben developed reasonable estimates for the work to be done and stayed true to those estimates. He met with me to review the project and answered all my questions. During the project we stayed in contact regularly and he always got back to me in 24 hours when I needed to reach him. The person he used to do the tile work did a beautiful job. I had a couple minor concerns with the painting but the problems were corrected as soon as I made Ben aware of them. I am very happy with the results. This was my first home improvement project of this size - three bathrooms totally redone and I am very happy that I chose Irby Homes!

buying a home in historic Annapolis can be a daunting process. We started with a well know contractor that ended in disaster. I live out of town, so I needed someone I could trust. Ben is communicative and living far away, he sent pictures of the ongoing process. He answered my texts immediately. Ben is organized. His invoices were clear and there were no surprises. It was an absolutely delightful experience working with him. He had all of the work done in a timely manner. We had extensive renovations done and everything looks beautiful. When it was time for a punch list, there wasn't much on it! He's the BEST!!!

Ben helped my wife and I design a laundry room and install built ins to function as a "mud room." We could not be happier with the finished product. Most importantly he was professional and easily accessible. I would highly recommend Ben and would use him again if the need arises.

We completed a total kitchen makeover and remodel. Including raising the ceiling with a skylight to brighten up the kitchen. Integrated hard wood to match throughout. We could not be happier with the work Irby Homes did for us. From the beginning, Ben Irby followed through on all of his timelines and most impressively, communicated each day in writing what the next steps would be and the timeline for each. ALL of the workers were extremely courteous , thorough and had a great attention to detail. Changes and additions on the fly were no problem and they were extremely helpful in suggesting things that we hadnt even thought of.
I will recommend and refer Irby Homes everytime without hesitation . We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience and we absolutely love our new kitchen. Thanks Irby Homes LLC!!!!

We were very pleased with the workmanship, professionalism, genuine likability and integrity of Irby Homes, and therefore highly recommend them. We had a kitchen remodel that required new counters, back-splash, installation of the new sink, faucet and new oven/microwave. They did an amazing job and we absolutely love our new kitchen! While preparing to sell my house irby homes helped me make all the proper upgrades. House sold in a week. Professional, great workmanship. From windows, to interior and exterior paint everything looked great. Can help with any of your home needs, also made the kitchen dazzle with new granite and sink.

We hired Irby Homes after seeing the master bath remodeling project completed at a neighbor's home, and at their recommendation. It was very similar to what we wanted. The estimate was very accurate, and about 35% less than that of another contractor a year earlier. We went over the initial budget due to a change in what we wanted, and Ben clearly and continuously informed us of the cost and other impacts to the remodeling effort, offering excellent advice when needed. The entire Irby team was professional, courteous, and efficient in their specific work areas - tile work was excellent, plumbing was upgraded and functions great, toilet and vanity & countertop installed perfectly, and the drywall and paint work are also excellent. We had delays because I ordered items late, and the team was accommodating and picked up the job as soon as items were available, and also aided in choosing items with recommendations. We are enjoying the finished product and would certainly hire Irby Homes again in the future.

Ben Irby was a savior for my husband and me. We had planned to have a half to full bath renovation done by another company, who bailed on us at the last minute. We had planned to start this project at the end of September beginning of Oct, and we found ourselves with no one. After interviewing another contractor, who gave us a bid twice the price of Ben's that we could not afford, we found Ben. Ben was knowledgeable, accommodating to the fact that we wanted the work done as soon as possible, and timely. Ben's crew was there daily until the project was done, about 3 weeks. The bathroom turned out better than we could have hoped for. Our home was built in the 1960s, and had old plumbing and non-standard measurements for the shower door. Ben had connections with local companies and was able to help us secure supplies that would fit within the bathroom. We could not be happier about how the project turned out, and will gladly use Ben in the future for other home improvements. Thanks a lot Ben!

We are thrilled with our new space! Irby Homes created a finished basement in our home with high craftsmanship. The basement was once an eye sore in our house and is now our favorite room to be in. Our biggest fears going into this project were cost and how long do we have to live with construction mess. The best part about the whole project was it came in on budget and WAS FINISHED IN LESS THAN 30 DAYS! Many thanks for the respect you showed for our home, time and budget.

We had a new half bath constructed in the basement level of our home. From the first meeting it was obvious to us that Ben took his work seriously. We discussed our plans, Ben took some time to measure the space and then indicated he would get back to us with some designs and an estimate. When he did come back with that information we were completely impressed with the detail provided in the estimate, right down to the hardware that would be used. It was very well thought out and detailed and we were pleased with the proposal. Once we notified Irby Homes that we were ready to move forward, we were put on the calendar and work began fairly quickly. The entire process was smooth and painless. Ben checked in frequently and met the crew here each day. He was communicative and very easy to work with. From day one until the last day, we felt that we were up to date on what was happening and what to expect next. We are so pleased with Irby Homes and the work they did and we fully intend to work with them again.

Ben did a great job on the myriad projects I needed completed to get my house ready to sell. He listened to what I wanted, understood my budget, and offered solutions that addressed both. He and his team worked on projects including fixing a number of holes in drywall, completely redoing the sink and closet area of the master bath, lots of trim work including windows, doors and baseboard trim, had fabricated and installed an inside stairway railing, installed a number of closet and room doors, installed three toilets, extended the laundry area to accommodate newer washers/dryers, and more. He kept me updated throughout the process, was unflappable when plans changed and offered creative solutions to issues that arose. Ben and his team were a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend Irby Homes.

This is the second time I have contracted with Ben. True to form, as with the first home he renovated and repaired for sale, the present home he has worked on went under contract within mere days of Ben completing his timely, professional, and aesthetically pleasing work! His work speaks for itself as several offers were bid on the home less than one week of the home going on the market!

Ben Irby and Irby Homes is hands down the best contracting company I've worked with. Very professional, extremely prompt and timely, addresses all questions and makes adjustments accordingly, outstanding communication at every step during and throughout a project. I initially hired Irby Homes to remodel one of my bathrooms, and I was so pleased that I had them complete three more bathrooms in my house. I have now decided to remodel my kitchen and after consulting with Ben Irby and his team, I am excited to start on this project with them. It's really rare to receive the level of detailed communication from a contractor that Ben Irby provides. I have hired Ben Irby to do a number of renovations on my newly purchased, 50 year old house. I was amazed with the quality of his work and expanse of his knowledge. His team was very professional, showed up when scheduled, and cleaned everything up every day (if I didn't noticed what they had done, it would have been hard to tell anyone was there). He has done a variety of work for me to include; electrical, plumbing, demolition, drywall, painting, and carpentry. I plan on using him for upcoming projects to include; remodel the bathroom, remodel a closet, install a fireplace insert, build a garage, clear trees, and finish the basement. His rates were so good, I asked him to make sure he is charging enough. I know Ben personally and wanted to make sure he wasn't hurting himself for me. He laughed and assured me the prices were correct. I recommend him to everyone I know. You wont go wrong with him and his team...

Irby Homes provides a thorough project plan and fair estimate. The company completed the bathroom renovation efficiently with superb results. They modifies as needed, and as I requested during each stage if the project. I would highly recommend their services and ideas for renovations or improvements throughout the home.

Rental unit (between tenants) needed extensive upgrades to kitchen and bathrooms. Irby Homes came in on budget, met all the deadlines and did excellent workmanship. Where additional tweaking was needed, Irby Homes provided appropriate solutions. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to others seeking home improvements.

Irby Homes has dones multiple projetcs for us at our home over the past 2-3 years and Ben is definitely our contractor of choice. He is timely, communicative and always completes the work within the timeframe he estimates. Prices are extremely reasonable, and Ben and his crews are pleasant and courteous, extremely comfortable to be around. I would highly recommend this contractor!

I have used Ben Irby and Irby Homes for many projects over the past few years ranging from replacing a faucet, a plumbing emergency to refinishing floors and remodeling a Bathroom.
