After purchasing several rooms of furniture some years ago, I was delighted that my recent visit to Ethan Allen in Garden City was so enjoyable. The showroom is spacious, furniture is beautifully displayed, and I was fortunate to work with Nanette Baker who listened to my ideas, traveled to my home, and then made a wonderful presentation on my dining room furniture choices. It was incredibly helpful to “see” how the furniture would look ahead of time - carefully planned virtual presentation. Nanette had great ideas to supplement my own, was extremely patient, and followed up after delivery was made to our home. An overall great design experience -

Nanette was the ultimate professional. She listened attentively and helped me choose beautiful furniture. She was always patient. She came to my house to see the space (living room) and planned accordingly.

I shopped a few stores before walking in to Ethan Allen in Garden City and was quickly introduced to Nanette. Nannette listened carefully to my needs and showing me options that she thought would suit me. As a result, after little more than an hour, I we were writing up an order for the bedroom of my dreams! After a few months I came in to get window treatments and again, Nanette was terrific and I ordered the finishing touch to my beautiful space. Nanette is very professional, has a strong design sense and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Nanette and the GC team for excellent service.

Working with Nanette was such a pleasure. She was knowledgeable and patient with my questions and indecisiveness. She gently offered wonderful suggestions without pressuring us to accept them. Nanette designed our family room, replacing window treatments, furniture, carpeting, artwork, and even helped us select paint colors. She carefully listened to our ideas. I was looking to introduce some modern elements into my very traditional home, and my husband was keen to stay traditional. Nanette put together a presentation of all of the fabric selections, and room arrangement. My whole house is Ethan Allen designed, and this was by far the easiest purchase we ever made! We both absolutely love the colors, design, and comfort of the room. We receive compliments from everyone that visits. Nanette was a pleasure to work with. Not only would I work with her again, but I highly recommend to others.

When my wife and I decided to spruce up our den/living room a main consideration was whether to work with an interior designer. The main reason was the budget. The key for us was to find someone that would understand the vision and concept of our plans and have the ability to integrate these plans with their professional expertise and resources. We liked Nanette because she listened carefully and understood what we were trying to accomplish while being and personable and genuine. She was sensitive to our needs and was able to translate our ideas and budget into a realistic plan. We realized that having a person we could trust and depend on was key to the overall success. Our living room/den has been totally transformed into a beautiful space, taking on the look of something 2-3 times the actual cost. The craftsmanship along with Nanette’s choice of design, materials and color schemes are outstanding. The room has taken on a transformation giving our home a completely new and refreshing look. Nanette is a truly gifted interior designer who has helped us realize our aspirations and has exceeded all of our expectations while at the same time helping us stay on budget. We truly could not have accomplished this without her insight. So in retrospect, we view the hiring of an interior designer as an investment rather than an additional cost.

Nanette was friendly, engaged, and easy to work with. We did not have a rigid, particular vision for our home but knew the vibe and feel we wanted to achieve. She effortlessly understood and created a vision for us which brought our ideas to life. We really appreciated her guidance because we now have a living room we will enjoy for years to come!!

Our family had an excellent experience working with Nanette Baker who helped design our living and dining rooms. From start to finish she was professional and really understood what we were looking for. Her ideas were thoughtful and spot on and we had very few changes at all from her initial selections. In addition to furniture and window treatments she helped us think though ideas for paint colors and accessories for the room. The rooms look beautiful now and would highly recommend her!

Earlier this year we remodeled our living/dining room and anticipated using some of our existing furniture pieces and complimenting them with a new sofa, chairs, and window treatment. Nanette Baker was a pleasure to work with. She listened to our style likes and dislikes and also offered suggestions on additional seating. Nanette really knows her merchandise! If you are one who CANNOT decide on fabrics, Nanette is the one you want to work with! She has a great eye piecing everything together in a cohesive manner.
