I have used Hopkins & Porter and its Handyman Service for many years (since 2001) -- for high quality repairs, painting, maintenance, etc., both inside and outside our home. Over the last few months, I have worked with Lamar Christie (Office Manager) and Carlos Gutierrez (handyman) on multiple home projects, including updating bathrooms, interior repairs and painting, exterior repairs/painting of siding, windows, etc., installation of storm door, and many other tasks. Both Lamar and Carlos are extremely dedicated, cooperative, and professional, provide top notch services, make sure everything is done exactly right, and are a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.

The two handymen from Hopkins & Porter, Julian and Brian, were very competent, enthusiastic, and helpful in replacing some rotten T-111 siding and wood trim on the chimney behind my townhouse.

They came, replaced the washing machine valves and the box itself and did a good job. Only thing, they are inexpensive, but you pay for what you get in the long run. They did a good job!

They were promp and got into their work immediately. They were polite. We have no way of judging the quality of their job because we cannot go up the roof to check their work. We just left it to trust. They did what they were suppose to do.

Carlos carried out a number of tasks at our home including adding a railing to the basement, adjusting a door in basement, extensive calking in sun porch, and removing debris from attic. He did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the results. Highly recommended

We have been Hopkins & Porter clients for 24 years. From a large addition with a kitchen renovation (a $150,000 project) to bathroom renovations ( a $40,000 project) to small ($600) and large handyman projects ($35,000) every project has been completed in a timely and professional manner. The staff has accommodated our needs and ALWAYS delivered a quality product. After our large renovation we started using the Handyman service. The work is always first-rate and completed to our satisfaction. We highly recommend H&P without reservation.

We have used Hopkins & Porter's handyman service for many years, for small to mid-size projects at our home. The work has always been done to the best professional standards, and their staff is fully responsive to clients' requests. Their charges may be higher than off-the-street contractors, but the peace of mind for the customer is well worth it.

In the last driving rain storm, water streamed down the walls of our bedroom from the recessed lights in the ceiling. I called H & P, and they arranged for a roofer to come the next day and put a tarp over part of our roof until we can have the roof replaced. H & P has done all of the work on our house--additions, remodelings and repairs-- for over 30 years, and my wife and I agree that they are the best!
