Hercules Design Build

Established in 2007, Hercules Design Build was founded to bring creative design solutions and the highest quality craftsmanship together in one client centered company. Our approach is to begin by listening to the client’s particular needs, desires and ideas. We may then do a bit of brainstorming, seeking to find innovative ways of looking at the project within the context of the particular space and budget. No two clients are the same and no two projects are the same, so it follows that no two solutions will be the same. David holds a Bachelor of Interior Architecture degree from Kansas State University (’92) where he was awarded the Paxton Award for Outstanding Design, given to one person in each graduating class. After a summer building a large addition on a home in South County, he then founded Hercules Designs, a custom furniture and cabinetry company that was based in South St. Louis city, which he operated with his wife for three and a half years before taking a position with Kiku Obata & Company, a design firm located in the Central West End. During his tenure at Kiku Obata, David focused on retail fixture design and space planning, having several successful projects published in industry design magazines. David then took a temporary hiatus from the design field with a very successful 10 year stint as a Regional Vice President with a financial firm, while keeping a toe in the design and construction world with miscellaneous freelance commercial and residential projects. In 2007 David founded Hercules Design Build in Webster Groves, Missouri and has since seen steady growth. We have done remodeling projects in Webster Groves, Kirkwood, Glendale, Maplewood, Crestwood, Rock Hill, Des Peres, South St. Louis City, South County, West County, Town & Country, Ladue, Wildwood, St. Charles and others.
