Heirloom Design Build

General contractors often provide as much attention to their work as it is worth--to them, that is. That means, if your project isn't a major one, don't count on being first in the queue. In the case of Heirloom Design Build, however, their clients are in for a very pleasant surprise. Our experience with Heirloom was superb, reflecting their attention to detail, timeliness, quality workmanship and creativity as a company that lives up to its commitments to the client and its reputation for first class work. Our two projects, while not minor, essentially amounted to the redesign of two rooms, moving a door, installing a window and blending the work into the existing space in one case; and the construction of a combination storage and wine cellar in a basement bedroom in the other. In both efforts, Heirloom delivered an intelligent approach to design, careful attention to detail in the work itself, a meticulous attention to clean up as well as construction, and attentiveness to scheduling and completion dates that fit with our needs. Their staff was always responsive to inquiries; never failed to follow-up as well as notify us regarding planned work and any delays; and worked around our needs when they arose. Both projects exceeded our expectations. Their carpentry team was superb. We recommend them highly for small as well as larger design and build efforts. Their professionalism and hands-on skills as well as competitive pricing are top of the class.

On time, on budget, courteous staff… Really... YES! HDB did our addition to our home in Lake Clair… It was so beautiful, it increased the value of our home almost 5%. We put our house on the market and the addition basically sold our house in 24 hours. As we decided to build our dream house I knew working with Dave (the owner) and his staff was a no brainer. I found that he understood and was well versed in the market place, pricing models and architecture. Just starting the process of building our home with all of its ups and downs, variances and permitting, Dave and his calm manner makes these phases less stressful. AND he always takes my calls… YES a contract who makes time to talk to you and return your calls when he is not available. It's true, this company is truly the real deal.

Dave Radlmann and his whole team at Heirloom are fantastic. They are as innovative and uncompromising on quality, as they are easy to work with. They actually won the OBIE Award from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association for outstanding design for a single family home. Pretty impressive in my book. Long story short, if you want the best, be sure to give Heirloom a chance at your project. In my experience their customer satisfaction is the only thing more impressive than their work.

We used Heirloom Design Build in connection with renovation of our 100-year old house. They did an excellent job and were very flexible in terms of staging the project in phases to work within our budget. They completely re-designed, gutted, and re-built two bathrooms; re-did extensive exterior work, including hardscaping our front entrance; and performed various other aesthetic improvements (refinishing hardwoods; patching old plaster walls, etc.). David Radlmann has an excellent eye for design and is a pleasure to work with.

Dave and his team were a true pleasure to work with. I had heard all the horror stories about working with contractors who quit on the job or don't show up or spend your money and don't listen but none of those list of horribles or any others came to pass. Dave was responsive, thoughtful about the bones of the house and always mindful of the budget we were working within. It was clear to us that he was as determined as we were to remain true to the original house while creating a modern and practical living space for our family. It wasn't always easy to go through such a big renovation of course but having Heirloom as our builders made it much easier. And we love the product of our collaboration!

After a tree fell on our house earlier this year, I looked to Heirloom Design Build to repair the damage to our roof and fencing. The owner, Dave Radlmann, handled the quote personally and was at our house the same afternoon for a quote. He worked well with our insurance company and got the quote done quickly and accurately and had his workers out the next day to complete the work. The work was efficient and of quality and the team worked cleanly and courteously. I used Heirloom for a full renovation of an investment property. Heirloom provided the expertise I needed to get the job done right and on budget. The property was in extremely poor condition, but the Heirloom team was able to successfully tackle each hurdle we found along the way providing me an incredible property. I have used Heirloom on projects since and plan to continue using them in the future.
