We had a large garden with a good bit of grassy, dead space which did not reflect the standard of the house we had renovated a number of years earlier. For a long time, we had put off doing anything with the garden, largely because we could never find a one-stop shop that would advise, design, build, supply, engineer and fit all the components that were needed to bring our project together. That was until we came across Ross from RJF Greenstone. We outlined a brief to Ross on our first meeting; he took that wishlist and designed an attractive, usable, interesting, sociable and comfortable garden space that we are incredibly proud of today. The Greenstone team who worked on our project are very talented, knowledgeable, courteous and hardworking crew. The finish on the build is excellent and the paving is flawless which makes the final structure a pleasure to look at and use. They managed the project diligently and communicated regularly. It was interesting to see the drawings designed by Ross being brought to life. The site was always kept tidy and well managed despite a lot of activity and construction movement at times. The team undertook the job as it it were their own. We look forward to many years of enjoying our garden room and paved terrace with family and friends. Ross designed an all year round structure which works as well in the winter as the summer months. I would highly recommend RJF Design and Greenstone Landscapes for all outdoor needs.

RJFDesign/Greenstone Landscapes was highly recommended to me by the owner of The Outdoor Scene. He said Ross was the best. From the very first phone call, Ross was very efficient and attentive. He listened carefully to our wish list, & designed a fabulous garden. I had no idea how much a garden project would cost & in the beginning we thought it was expensive and now that it's finished, I realise it is a great investment. His team are so lovely and it was very obvious that they love what they do and they take such pride in their work. Every time I see my garden it brings a smile to my face & every one who has viewed our garden has said it looks like a garden out of a magazine. From the initial design consultation to the completion of the project Ross and his team provided a fabulous service. Our Garden design met our specification to a tee. The build team were respectful, tidy and careful when in our home, even during a period of really terrible weather and despite the fact that everything had to come through our house as we have no side access. Ross monitored the build with care throughout, ensuring the highest quality. The final result is nothing but spectacular, we LOVE our garden and spend hours there reading and relaxing, having family meals and enjoying the space with our friends. We had our small (100 sq m) garden overhauled 3 years ago while finishing a complete refurb of our home, so to be honest, we were reluctant to put more money into it. But having said that, the layout just didn’t work. We contacted Ross and from the minute he stood on our patio and started talking, we knew he “got it”. He could immediately see what was not working for us and what would work well in the space we had. He was 100% right on every point which really assured us that we were talking to someone who not only has an eye for slick design (which we could see from his previous jobs) but a head for practical functionality too. He took everything into account; what the space was to be used for, what we could do without and what we wanted to "keep in" ... and asked all the relevant questions like; When we use the garden most and what for (so it was designed to make the best use of sunshine and shelter etc). We were really amazed by his designs. Although it was hard (for us) to picture exactly what he envisaged, the drawings helped and because Ross is very thorough, his attention to detail was outstanding. Only experience can teach the things he was able to account for - and only raw talent can put it altogether as beautifully as he did. Execution was flawless. A work-flow was even planned to enable use of a small bit of garden space while the job was being done. A team of 4-5 guys worked continuously for about 7 weeks and each of them was as professional and courteous as the next. Every evening the area was left tidy and on Fridays, our garden furniture (which they had stored away for protection) would be reset in case we wanted to sit out - which was very professional and considerate of them. The team was always able to answer questions and even made time to explain what they were doing to our inquisitive daughter, who was sad to see them finish up. The Plumbers, Electricians, Plasterers etc that were used on the project were equally professional and exact. I can honestly say that there is very good reason why Ross and his team at Greenstone continue to win numerous awards year after year; They tick every single box for clients and are superb at what they do. They have transformed our garden into a beautiful, modern, slick and functional “outdoor room” and in turn, have ‘finished’ our house perfectly for us. It is better than we imagined it ever could be. A side note regarding our garden budget: When considering our garden job, we calculated what we spent on our house extension/refurb. - then equated that to our garden in cost per square meter and quickly saw that our garden budget provided a lot more value in real terms. Greenstone made our garden an extension to our home - effectively adding another room - an outside space that very much brings our garden into our home. Ross always uses top grade materials and this is something we now realise is paramount to a quality finish and was worth every penny.

I could n't imagine anyone else doing our garden other than Greenstone Landscapes. The work is first quality and Ross and the team were a pleasure to deal with. We had quite an involved job, two structures being built as well as all the paving and hardscaping, landscaping, lawn and greenery. Greenstone are experts in all these areas and it made such a difference to have one contractor and one team on the job that were able to do all aspects of the work - and expertly so. We were originally attracted to Greenstone though the examples on the Website. The style we wanted for our garden is reflected in their portfolio of work and is what we envisioned for our garden - and is exactly what we got. From the start Ross was there with us going though all aspects of the design process. He was a pleasure to work with as he always addressed our questions fully. Also he gave us a full breakdown of the cost of each element so we could decide what to leave in or out with Ross giving us other options depending on our budget. It is an iterative process but we worked together to get the design and spend we wanted. The team on site, led by Keith, were also a dream to work with. As well as being highly skilled in their work they were very personable. The site (that is our back garden!) was always tidied each day. As they needed to use our downstairs toilet this was always left clean and tidy; something you might not expect from a team of builders using it. Keith was also extremely approachable and any suggestions we had along the way was always possible, as well as any questions or concerns were always dealt with and answered. There was a lot of involvement between us and the team on site and naturally as a project progresses we thought of other things to include or change; this was never a problem and was always met with a "can do" attitude. Equally Keith and Ross gave us suggestions of other things to do or to tweak the build. One thing in their mantra which really appealed to us was the idea of "future proofing" - putting in the services for something that we nay not need now but might or probably would in the future - for example additional wiring or a line for a patio gas heater. Many times Greenstone went above what a regular contractor would do by going out of their way. We were away during part of the work but were absolutely confident in giving the keys of our house to the team. Also, during this time we were getting a hot tub installed. This required coordination with the hot tub suppliers and a 3rd party crane operator. Greenstone coordinated this in our absence on site on the day, without a problem. Greenstone built a garden room for us which I completed the interior myself, as a personal project. I am not a professional more of a DIY enthusiast. Greenstone gave me lots of advice on the different elements involved and were happy to let me work on parts of it while still on site. This level of help, cooperation and genuine openness is just one thing that sets them apart from others. My one concern with any job is will the contractor come back to fix any problems that arise after they have been paid? The answer with Greenstone is a definitive yes. We had a couple of small issues/snags after the summer. Ross returned to investigate and fix and stuck with it until it was fixed. This is the service and commitment that I hope for and can be a rarity these days. Greenstone certainly have this and stand over their work with integrity and will never let you down. I have worked with many different contractors and tradespeople over the years and to my good fortune most have been very good. My experience with Greenstone though has been a level above my previous experience. I can't recommend Greenstone enough. Expertise, experience, skill, openness, integrity, genuineness and value for money - they have it all.

I found RJF design on the Houzz website and based on the excellent reviews we decided to ask Ross to completely redo our back garden. There was an existing putting green so it was not a straightforward job at all. We had a clear picture in our minds of what we wanted and Ross took everything on board and gave excellent advice regarding our requests and ideas. We were given a time frame which was adhered too despite us adding extra jobs and making changes along the way, all of which were accommodated. Ross's team were exceptionally professional, hard working and very pleasant. The finished product is even better than we had ever imagined. Their workmanship is impeccable and they take great pride in their work. This company offer an exceptionally professional service, the likes of which are not easily found. I couldn't recommend RJF design more highly and I would look no further.

Ross carried out a complete transformation of my garden in October 2017. I had a small awkwardly shaped garden which we never used as it consisted of a mucky patch of grass outside the back door, a rusty kids swingset and a falling down shed. Like most people we had renovated our house over the years but always seem to run out of budget when it came to the garden and kept putting it on the long finger. I sourced Ross on Houzz as I liked his previous projects on small gardens and asked him to draw something up. The brief I gave him was somewhere nice to sit/eat in the sun, good storage, a sunken trampoline for the kids plus low maintenance as we are not good at gardening! A tall order for such a small garden. He delivered it all with a unique design that we never would have thought of. He is just so creative. We love our new garden and the whole family use it all summer. Also it is fantastic to look out at all year round from our kitchen/family room. Anyone who walks into my house be it friends, parents collecting their kids or the man servicing the boiler, they all comment on my garden and say it is absolutely wow! You can’t ask for better than that. Also almost two years later it still looks as good. On top of the fantastic outcome Ross and his team were a pleasure to deal with. I have had many people work on my house over the years and they were the politest most accommodating team by far. My only regret is that I didn’t get the job done years ago and kept prioritizing the house over the garden. If in any doubt just do it.

This review is long overdue. My wife and I spent 6 months looking for Landscapers / Gardeners that could translate our vision into reality. At the point of giving up we meet Ross from Greenstone Landscape. He was the first to measure the garden space and offered to undertake the design for a nominal price. His designs where fantastic and reflected all our needs and wishes. Ross was very flexible on the approach and following multiple tweaks to the initial design we agreed the layout and the start dates. Ross and his team arrived on time and completed on schedule with no delays. During the work we hit some issues that Keith the Project Manager address immediately and nothing was an issue that could not be resolved. The Greenstone team where always professional and above all a great bunch of guys. At the end of the project we have ended up with a fantastic garden where we have had multiple BBQ and parties. As the plants start to mature we are only starting to truly appreciate how great the result is. We would not hesitate recommending Ross and the Greenstone team as they have delivered 100% on our vision.

We sourced RJF design online and set up a meeting with Ross. We gave him our wish list and he produced a set of plans and a virtual tour of his plans. We initially looked at scaling back our plans to reduce costs but Ross convinced us of the long term benefits of his plans and now that we are enjoying our new Garden that was the best decision we took. All the team in RJF were a pleasure to deal with and worked to the highest standard to produce a Garden that definitely has the WOW factor. We don’t recommend people unless we have first hand experience and it is without hesitation that we recommend Ross and his Team. If your budget allows, give Ross your wish list and then give him free reign to design the garden of your dreams. He won’t let you down. Joe

Ross and his team are great to work with both during the design and construction phase. Ross is very creative designer that likes to push design boundaries. We found the 4D drawings to be very useful, in essence it gave us a full picture of the end product almost down to the material finishes. What we got in the end was completely in line with the original designs. Ross is easy to work with and a genuine problem solver. As we ran into structural challenges they were easily addressed and quickly overcome. The project we had was large in scale and highly complex. We had many challenges along the way but never had to compromise the design. Ross and his team always had the right solution. Lastly but importantly Ross and his team are extremely trustworthy, they treated our home like their own so we weren't left with a mess every time the builders were offsite. They always tidied up after themselves so that our 3 young kids were save around the building site. We would highly recommend Ross and his team.

I could not fault Greenstone Landscapes for the work they carried out in transforming a patio that was under-utilised into an incredible out-door room. They listened to what we wanted, advised us on the logistics but never compromised on the dream. Nothing we asked for was too big, too small or too insignificant. Their vision married seamlessly to ours to create a priceless addition to our house, home and lifestyle. The workers were gentleman of the highest order who worked from early morning through deluges of rain and Ross oversaw every detail from planning stage to the final outdoor light bulb! He approached the project as though it were his personal own. I could not recommend Greenstone Landscapes more.
