Jeff did an absolutely fantastic job on the fence he built around our patio! We found him through a google search, and we are so glad we did. We got a quote from the main fencing place in town, and though it was a little bit lower than Jeff's, we weren't thrilled with their customer service, and their fences looked okay but not great. From our very first interaction with Jeff, he was professional, straightforward, and offered helpful information about why we'd want to go with one set of materials versus another. He kept in touch about his schedule, worked efficiently and very cleanly (he and his colleague Matthew were both very meticulous as they worked and great about cleaning up at the end of each day), and he created a simply beautiful fence for us that we truly love. The cost differential between Jeff's work and the other fence company was negligible given that he used much higher end materials that will last longer and look better. They would have built us a serviceable fence... Jeff built us a piece of art. We couldn't be happier with him, and we can't recommend him highly enough.

Very professional. Exactly what we were looking for. Jeff is a talented carpenter that was able to take our vision and make it into a dream space for us. His estimate was very reasonable and he completed the project on time and on budget. The construction site was clean after every day and he respected our neighbors by not working too late or early. I spent many months researching fencing contractors, obtaining bids, and looking at completed fence projects around the city. After seeing the high quality craftsmanship of a fence Jeff had built, I met with him to discuss our project. I found Jeff to be very personable and easy to work with; he discussed all aspects of my project with me in detail and provided valuable input with regard to materials, design/aesthetics, and physical construction of the fence (most of which I had never considered). All work was completed to the highest standard, and the final product is a beautiful addition to our house. When we were considering a project involving the construction of a decorative cedar retaining wall to match the fence, Jeff was the only person we considered for the job. Highly recommended!

We hired Jeff a couple of years ago to replace our aging (dangerous) deck. We loved working with him and appreciated his attention to detail and level of professionalism. He always had great tips too, for example recognizing that the concrete slab that our deck would be built on was prone to flooding which would have created problems with our new deck. He suggested digging a ditch and filling it with stones to drain the water before it hit our new deck. We are thrilled with the end result. Our new deck feels more like an extra room on our house. Would recommend Jeff to any friend or family member looking for a beautiful new deck.

Jeff rebuilt our deck and added on steps, a railing, two roofs, a half-circle cut out for a circular hot tub and he constructed a hot tub pad. He was very helpful in the design process as we didn't have a clear idea of what we wanted at first. He used environmentally responsible stain and he went out of his way to get quality wood for the project. We are extremely pleased with the quality of our deck and it was a pleasure working with Jeff.

Jeff does such beautiful work. I would recommend Green Coast Carpentry to anyone and would hire them for any future carpentry work.

We hired Jeff a couple of years ago to build our new fence. He was not the lowest of 3 bids we received but we hired him based on references, knowledge, and professionalism. I could tell immediately that Jeff was a person of high integrity who would follow through with the project and do his very best. Our fence is gorgeous! We were so happy with it that we hired Jeff again the following year to build a small detached cottage/office in our backyard. Not only did Jeff build a beautiful office for us, he designed it too! I am writing this review from that very office right now. I can truly not recommend Jeff highly enough!

Jeff Nelson was recommended to us by a friend that had used his services to build a fence. He built a fence, gate and trellis for us. He was great to work with! Jeff offered ideas and advice and listened to our design goals. His services were reasonably priced and he worked efficiently to complete the job in a timely manner. I would certainly use Green Coast Carpentry again and highly recommend Jeff Nelson.

We highly recommend Jeff. He built our fence and did a fantastic job. We've had many people comment on how great it looks. He was wonderful to work with...great communication, high integrity, on time, and very talented! We were particularly impressed with his expertise, creativity, and interpersonal skills. We wouldn't hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to others.

If you want anything built with hand selected wood, with incredible craftsmanship that will last for the long run, Jeff is your guy. He not only has incredible technical skill, he is a great person and communicator who does what he says he is going to do. It was a very positive (and fun) experience from beginning to end. He builds things for others with the same quality and precision that he would build for himself. There were a couple nail holes where the putty didn't exactly match the wood: I didn't say anything because Jeff pointed it out and it he found a solution. He looks at the project like an artist does and his high standards ensures that his designs are top notch. We got quotes from others that were less, but the quality was at a lower level. We wanted a pergola, fence and gates that would last for years and years. We had to save up for this project and it was totally worth it. We are so thrilled with the results and we have folks walking down the street just to look at it. Seriously, it is that good. It is so fun to come home and drive up to our house!! It looks great!

Jeff created a beautiful fence in our yard with great skill and design sense. He was nothing but professional during every step of the process and we are so pleased with the result.
