We selected Neu Construction to help us update our kitchen, powder room and add hardwood floors to our living areas. From selecting materials to finishing touches we were so happy with how the project turned out. Everything was finished on time, on budget and exceed our expectations of high quality work. We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen, powder room and flooring and can't wait to start the next project. As a bonus, Gordon and his team are just really nice people!

Neu Construction resided the front of my house due to water damage caused by gutter leakage and a poor stucco-like panel that was originally used. There was significant rot behind the stucco panels in one area including a main beam. All the rotten boards were removed and replaced and the new panels installed. Much care was made to minimize damage and do the job right with proper flashing and Tyvek weather sheeting. Then they installed a high quality stucco panel made by HardiPlank. The job was done quickly, efficiently, and very professionally. The end results were excellent. The crew always cleaned up their mess at the end of the day. I couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you Scott and Ken for all of your hard work and excellent skill.

Neu Construction remodeled our master bath, turning it from tired and dated to the lovely spa-like en suite we dreamt of. They were timely, respectful of our home, professional and very knowledgeable of their craft. And there were no surprises!All of the contractors who worked on this project were top notch. Old Time Tile did an absolutely amazing job, carefully planning and executing with precision the tile layout so that it was symmetrical and perfect in every detail. They even hand laid the pebbles along the shower curb to achieve the flowing riverbed design we had in mind.Gordon, Scott and Ken enthusiastically collaborated with us in the design of the bath, and they listened closely to our ideas and desires, bringing to fruition our vision with amazing attention to every detail. Gordon put together a precise schedule so we knew what to expect every day. He thought of every eventuality and planned for it without fail. We couldn't be happier with the results of this project, and we highly recommend Neu Construction for a quality, smooth and enjoyable construction experience.

I would like to comment on the recent experience I had with Neu Construction. I expected nothing but the best from past professional dealings with Gordon. When it was time for a personal project, I contacted him with my ideas. We came up with a plan, a time line, and a cost. Go figure that it all came out better than expected. The plan was followed with the exception of a minor modification that both parties agreed was needed. The price was as stated on the contract. No surprises. The modification was quoted and completed at the agreed price. The work was done in a timely manner. They always showed up when they said they wood. They did what they said would, when they said they would do it. (That doesn't always happen these days). Gordon and his son have remodeled a bath and resurfaced the kitchen for us. Pictures are already on this website under "Lake Steilacoom area". I honestly can't remember exactly who referred him, but it was an aquaintance of a friend, so we met with Gordon and hit it off right away. I was very involved in the ideas, measuring, choice of materials, etc. Gordon and Scott and the great people he has working on different areas have wonderful ideas and are very professional, but they also are good at listening to what you want and understanding your concept of the final results expected. We worked well together. Scott took care of gutting the old and building the new very efficiently. He is fast, but thorough and careful. He knows what he is doing! Can't say enough good things about this company. By the way, I will include dates and price information only on the bath as it was more involved and the spaces provide for one project at a time.

Gordon Neu & his crew remodeled the women's bathroom at our church to include adding another toilet in another stall. They had to relocate a wall. They replaced the countertop for the sink. They repainted and installed wainscot. They installed new flooring. Project required the design be approved by the city as well as by our church's council. Gordon Neu took the initiative and took the time to accomplish all this paperwork and planning. The project took about 1 year from the first meeting until completion much of which involved getting the permits. The actual work took about 6 weeks. The people at our church were very pleased with them as they worked because each day they cleaned up to make things pristine. They laid down material to cover carpets so no damage. Gordon communicated very well and kept us fully informed. Our church's congregation is very pleased with the results and offered many complements.

My wife and I had decided to do an addition to our home. We had shopped around for a reliable contractor, and found one in the Neu Construction, Inc. Gordon came to our home in the Parkland area and we discussed our wants and desires. He gave us some of his personal ideas and some very helpful suggestions as well. I have been into the building trade as a youngster, learning a lot about building and the wonderful smell of wood during my entire families own home construction. Gordon did several hours of drafting, designing our desires, and we ended up with a fantastic kitchen, "a ladies dream", with the space to move about while cooking, including many spacious cabinets, to include a pantry cabinet close by as well, and the Jenn-Airre cooking system. The "L" shaped counter top in the kitchen was reduced in height for my wife, since she is only 5'4" in height, and this would help her when making her various cake decorating orders. This kitchen had all the bells and whistle, to include the dining area. Then along with the kitchen, we had a new master bedroom and master bath installation, making this a two bath and four bedroom home. His workmanship and promptness were excellent. He was also very prompt to discuss issues or changes that may have had to be made, which were few. I also had a wood working shop/business at the back of the property, and was able to assist to a minute degree. But, after the entire job was completed by him and his crew of Scott & Ken, we converted the small old kitchen of the main home into the formal dining room with a full floor to ceiling china cabinet, which we designed. The transition from the original home to the new addition was exceptional with a hard wood flooring to the new kitchen with laminate floor cover. Then the back door area included a mud room before entering the home. This entire endeavor included the foundation, half moon patio completed in approximately 1983-1984, at a cost of between $ 100,000 - $ 150,000.00. We have wished many times after selling the home due to a job transfer, that we could have moved the final design, home and the job well done. We recommended Gordon to one of our sons & daughter-in-law, and Gordon was the contractor for their new home as well. That home is also a dream and very excellent workmanship. If you want quality and value for your hard earned dollars, Neu Construction, Inc., Gordon Neu; Owner/Manager, is the one to call. Gordon is correct - you, the client, and he, the contractor, must "like" and "TRUST" each other. Our experience with him was a major kitchen and master bath gut & rebuild (see photos for Port Orchard project). Gordon and team were most professional, honest and competent. The process was a pleasure to participate in - and yes, as the client it takes a lot of participation and decision making - as Gordon always kept us informed and there were no surprises. If an issue came up, raised by either one of us, it was discussed openly and a solution agreed upon before proceeding. One key to making the project run smoothly, on time and in budget is Gordon's practice of getting all of the key decisions made up front. Layout, materials, colors, fixtures, etc. are all discussed at the beginning and we participated in going to supplier warehouses and selecting products. Thus, we were in control. Workmanship was very good, as was site protection and clean-up. Highly recommend Neu Construction for your renovation project!

We had Gordon Neu do some renovations to our house in 2006. We also had him renovate our bathroon in 2008. He and his company listened and paid attention to what we liked to be done. We were very happy with the outcome of the projects. When you ask for his advice, he gladly gives you options. In 2008 I had a 2-story wall of windows that was near collapse from moisture damage. Gordon brought in an architect to design a new and better wall. His crew removed all the windows, and took down the entire wall. They rebuilt it using full length laminated beams, earthquake ties to the foundation, steel earthquake resistant bands, and concrete lap siding to better handle the weather. This was a HUGE project. I was fortunate to find Gordon. He hired good people for the work outside and inside. He was on sight everyday. It was October, and the job was mostly completed in 2 weeks. He was on top of every detail and communicated well with me. I trust Gordon and his son, Scott. I have hired them for smaller jobs since The Wall. —Brian Saunders

My husband and I met Gordon Neu at the Home and Garden Show at the Tacomadome last year. We told him that we would like to enclose our covered porch, and he was very easy to work with and understood our vision. He and his team were completely professional, and our new sunroom is a showplace. Large windows and window seats provide ample room for viewing our backyard, and the heated tile floor keep it in a cozy constant temperature all year round. Gordon Neu, in my opinion, has an artist's heart and a builder's head. We will contact him for further projects in our home, and we highly recommend him to you.
