We hired Godden/Sudik Architects to design an addition to our 1927 bungalow in Englewood that would give us a much-needed master suite and mudroom. With so many beautiful old homes in our neighborhood having bad tacked-on additions, we wanted to make sure the new work would blend seamlessly with the existing home. What Doug Walter and his team from Godden/Sudik delivered met that goal and was exactly what we wanted, within the budget we could afford. They had the rare ability to truly listen to our ideas and preferences, but balance that with years of experience with what works, and is cost-effective. For instance, Doug showed us how for a few bucks more we could dig the new crawl space down another 4 feet and get a much needed rec room in the basement. During construction and after, Doug was with us the entire way to keep an eye on the progress and assisting the builder when needed. Of all the decision we had to make during this project (and there were thousands!), hiring the remodeling team at Godden/Sudik Architects was the best one we made!
