G&L and Sons Renovations

This was our third and largest project with G&L and we're very pleased with their quality of work! We had a tricky third floor bathroom that we converted into a shower, installed bead board, new tile, plumbing and much more. We also put in hard wood floors and replaced the door casings and doors. David helped us understand our options and the overall time frame and investment to expect, which allowed us to make the best decision moving forward. Maureen was incredible when came to the design and didn't miss a beat on details we didn't think of, she even wrote out very specific floor plans to make sure we wouldn't run into challenges. Chris, Jon and their team did a beautiful job on the whole project and respect the rest of the home while moving throughout the project. We look forward to using G&L again in the future and would highly recommend their services. Thank you!

We worked with G&L and Sons to renovate our family room. It's the first meaningful change we made to the house and we couldn't be happier with the results. David and Chris helped us understand our options, laid out the process for us, and answered dozens of questions. Their designer created an excellent plan for the room and the result looks fantastic. They even built custom shelves for us when they realized we couldn't get what we wanted fabricated! Chris was on-site nearly every day work occurred overseeing his contractors, all of whom were professional and did good work. We struggle to think of anything that could have gone better with the project. We'll be using G&L and Sons every chance we can for home renovations.

We looked at five contractors before starting our project and when we met David and his team it was a no brainer. David was very thorough during the scoping process and educated us along the way on some of the potential things to consider in our overall project. He was also very patient with us as we changed our project scope a few times. He quickly provided us with detailed estimates. Once we started the project, Chris and his team were great! They were patient with every little change we asked about and did an amazing job with the detail. At the end of the project there were zero items that needed attention. We were so impressed and are looking forward to using them for our bathroom renovation next. Project: We converted a small bedroom into a closet that involved closing up a hallway door, removing layers of old trim on two other doors and putting up sheetrock. We also installed brand new hardwood floors, quarter molding, baseboards, and had all of the rooms painted. They help remove sheetrock and a tiny closet to expose our beautiful chimney in the master bedroom. And for final touch they installed a sliding barn door. See below for images. G&L and Sons remodelled our family room last year and they did an amazing job. From the moment I met David for the estimate, the project started to transform for the better. His attention to details, ideas and experience helped us to really improve the space. Our project included breaking and re-pouring the slab in the room, installing hydronic radiant heat, framing, sheetrock, electric, furniture-grade build-in shelves, building a closet and painting. The project was handled very efficiently, millions of questions were answered, inspections were passed with zero problems, the site was kept very clean. We ran into a significant problem mid-way and the way the company handled it showed the highest integrity. The room turned out beautiful and we still smile every time we go in. My husband and I have used G&L and Sons for two projects at our home. We found them to be wonderful to work with. They were up front and very honest with costs and even helped with an extra eye for decorating. They were very dependable, reliable and we had no problem with leaving them in our home when we weren't there. This year I called on G&L and Sons to do a relatively minor job involving window replacement on 1st and 2nd floor and they delivered once again as if this were the biggest, most challenging job of the year! WOW! We cannot believe our good fortune in finding G&L and Sons Renovations. So far they have built a deck and re-did a portion of a bathroom for us. Fair, honest, responsible, professional, excellent project coordination, AND great quality. Contractors who deliver on everything they promise. In addition to the highest quality work (and I do mean quality), they are polite, courteous, accommodating, and get the job started and done when they said it would be done. They are the only contractors I will work with going forward.

My wife and I had a full kitchen renovation with a small extension added. Our experience with Chris and the company was outstanding with a fair price as well. They keep you updated with what their doing and are with you step by step in the whole process which is great especially dealing with a first major renovation. Their work is exceptional with high quality products. I would highly recommend them for any renovation you will not be disappointed.

We had already been disappointed with 2 other contractors. The worst, who had been recommended by Tuscan Hills cabinet rep, kept making and breaking appointments. Chris showed up exactly on time for the appointment. Thoroughly professional in his presentation, he eased our minds immediately. As the project progressed, Chris made excellent suggestions, introduced us to his suppliers and made the process enjoyable. He worked with us to choose a good schedule that fit our needs. When the project started, the workers arrived on time and worked steadily until quitting time. Communication was key with us and Chris always made sure we knew what was going to happen and when. Accompanying us to each of his suppliers, Chris made sure we got what we wanted. Sometimes he made cost-saving recommendations. He took us to one of his other jobs to show us possibilities for our kitchen. The only delays were caused by the township's building inspections (their computer went down and scheduling inspection manually was beyond their capability). Lost a day because the inspector went to the wrong site. Winter cost us a couple of days also. The crews Chris used for all the trades from demolition to electric, plumbing, painting, carpentry and cleanup were all polite, professional and efficient. Three months have passed and we are still in love with the kitchen. We had a small leak from the dishwasher drain hose. Chris got his plumber to take care of it, quickly. We had a problem with our under sink water filter which was occasioned by our physical capability to replace a filter after we cleaned it. We contacted Chris to get the plumber's phone number. Chris wouldn't hear of it. A day later, he came and fixed the problem. Three months after the job was complete! We couldn't think of using anyone but G & L for any project.

Chris is fantastic, he is very thorough and thoughtful about the job and associated costs. My wife and I absolutely love how our laundry room came out. We will hire G&L again for our next project!
