I had a power problem in my kitchen. It was 8pm and called Gatto Electric. Jim was here at 845pm and fixed my problem. He was very helpful and I recommend reaching out to him if you need an electrician. Thank you Jim.

Total nightmare during and after the work. Jim was hired for electrical upgrades to the house while I was out of town for a week. The work was supposed to be done by the day I returned. When I asked how the work was going, Jim said he would finish on time. When I returned home, power was out in almost half of the house and it was an absolute disaster. Mess and wires everywhere. Jim even had the nerve to ask for an additional $5,000 to finish the job. Jim eventually finished the job two weeks later, disappearing for days at a time. We were without power in portions of the house for most of this time. I would give 1 star from this part alone. Several months later, I received a Notice of Violation from the city. Apparently Jim did not pull a permit for the work. He told me before the work that we didn’t need to notify ComEd or the city. At this point, Jim admitted that he was not licensed in my city, but was licensed in another city. I called the other city to verify, and his license there expired in 2017. So really, he doesn’t seem to be licensed anywhere. Jim provided no assistance in resolving this issue. It cost me over $1,200 to hire an actual licensed electrician to resolve the issue. Despite repeated requests, Jim has stopped responding to me and not provided any relief for this additional cost I incurred from his work. Unfortunately I have been forced to file complaints with the BBB and Attorney General and may have to go to small claims court.

I needed to upgrade my electrical service. I called Jim Gatto to give me an estimate. He came the same day He was very polite and explained what he needed to do clearly to me. He pulled a permit did an excellent job, very clean, and we were approved by the inspector. I recommend Gatto Electric for getting it done in a great fashion. Thank you Jim.

Gatto Electric did some great work on my house last summer! I was really happy with the service and attention to detail. The work was completed on time and the work was good quality. I felt the prices were fair and I would definitely recommend them to others.
