Nutopia is an exceptional design service. Farnaz, the owner was able to understand the type of style I was interested in and translate it into a stunning design; something that will be beautiful for years to come! Her ability to pick products, colors and furniture to complete the design was amazing. I could not be happier, she has a true talent. Importantly, she helped me put into words the style of home I was reaching for, something that was very hard for me to do. Moreover, she had innovative ideas and was very detailed and exacting. A true professional. Also, from the beginning of the project to the very end, Farnaz promptly responded to all of my questions. Again, a true professional. I highly recommend Nutopia. Farnaz is a truly talented design professional. I will use her again for any additional projects.

I thought home remodeling would be a stressful experience. Working with Farnaz and her team was anything but that. She is creative, resourceful, and truly cares about the end result. Because of her experience and professional attitude she saw to every detail and was able to quickly resolve any unexpected issues. We are so happy with the outcome of her beautiful design that we have decided to proceed with the phase II of the remodel.

It has taken me so long to write this review because I can not think of words that can express adequately how happy we are with this project. Farnaz proposed a design with all our needs and wants in mind and along the way made suggestions that we would have never thought about on how to use existing material that we had and was special to us in the project. She always ran all ideas by us and when we were gone on a one month vacation, showed up at our house every single day to make sure everything was progressing according to plan and on time. She introduced us to resources within our budget and worked with contractors and professionals who were simply the best and did very quality work. The project involved rebuilding 3 of our patios and redoing all of the exterior of the house including stucco and creating a front entry in addition to changing windows inside the house and some other modifications to make the house more modern and up to date. She was involved in every aspect of the project from picking house numbers and painting them the right color to city permits, structural engineer work and dealing with various contractors. Farnaz is clearly very passionate about what she does and is a superbly talented architect. We have neighbors walking by every day that complement on how great the house turned out and how the work shows superb quality and design. Most importantly, in the process of this renovation we have now become very good friends. I look forward to working with her again and would recommend her to anybody who wants to a quality, beautiful and thoughtful job done on their house. Thank you!

We have done two projects with Farnaz and both have been well done and happily to our satisfaction. She is very creative and precise in her work. Always on time and knows well where to choose needed products.

Farnaz is incredible to work with, as principle designer of Nutopia design she has worked with me for over ten years. Beginning with a large remodel of our 1960’s ranch style house. She designed an amazing remodel of the master bedroom and bath, turned a large bathroom into a 3/4 bath and powder room. As well as relocating the laundry room from a closet to a room of it’s own. She stayed on budget and saved us money. Her next project was to create a floor plan for a new condo we bought in downtown San Diego. She was very clever to create a floor plan that was more comfortable and livable than the plan the construction company had proposed. Also suggested paint colors , Japanese sliding interior doors and where to shop for materials. Next she designed a front porch to give our house a better curb appeal and a wonderful place to relax. She had an inspiration and shared with us an idea to add an add cupboard space to the kitchen and it has been a lifesaver. An example of how she keeps her customers needs in her thoughts. Over the years she has also helped me with choosing paint colors, flooring, counter top materials, draperies and even outdoor paint and stain colors. I have always found her to be inspiring, friendly, easy to communicate with and on budget. I look forward to working on more projects with Farnaz. because of her work ethic, integrity, and creative mind.

I just went through complete renovation of my townhouse with Nutopia. I am extremely satisfy with all aspects of the project. From the planning to completion Farnaz was always on top of things and made show the smooth flow of the work. She is throughly an educated, Knowledgeable and hardworking individual. Overall Farnaz is one of the most talented designer and architect that I have ever had pleasure of working with. Like Farnaz, her crew are also all professional, hardworking and responsible people. The project was done on time, on budget and the results are much better than what I expected therefore I can highly recommend Nutopia, Farnaz and her crew.

She is extremely creative and understands how to make your home come alive with warmth, color and movement. An excellent designer who makes sure she is on the same page with you, but not afraid to guide and direct you. Very happy with the work she has done for us. We hired Farnaz to design a new kitchen for our Craftsman home in Mission Hills that was built in 1913. She was very attentive in listening to what we wanted and came up with not only a great design for our kitchen but also presented plans for other areas of our house that improved the flow and cohesiveness of the "patchy" additions. She also did a great job keeping with the style of our older home.

We've worked with Farnaz for over 10 years on various projects. She is someone who knows what she wants, so the execution of the finished glass makes it easy for us. She is always professional and very knowledgeable with regards to design. We would recommend Nutopia for any interior design project if you want someone who is dedicated and will give you the WOW factor!
